Genuinely think it's a scam, please read

Called Sam's locksmith and they actually send out go locksmith? Website says call out within half an hour and no hidden fees. Not here within half an hour so I called and they said 25 more mins, I cancelled and then they kept calling back and hassling for a cancellation fee!? Called up for the cancellation fee back, as my husband paid it to get the guy off our back. The man on the phone kept hanging up on me when I was asking what happened and why I called Sam's but I paid Go. Now won't answer

My key locksmith is the new name of these scammers

I fell victim to these scammers as well. They now go by the name of my key locksmith.
They charged my £350 to just clean up multi lock mechanism. The invoice was issued under the name of National locksmiths Ltd. I'm surprised that google allow these fraudulent sites to appear high in the search lists. Planning to complain to trading standards

Don't trust the quote

Tell you one price on the phone do the job then tell you the real cost . Should tell you the real price before they start . Phone up to complain they didn't care

wrong lock's fitted and wrong way

wrong lock's fitted, locks are supposed to be flush fitting with the handle plate, these are stuck out by 10mm, the external lock is supposed to be the antisnap. but it was also fitted the wrong way around so antisnap was on the inside of the house not on the outside. never right to me but when he was asked he said it is supposed to stick out. only just found out that's its wrong so have been nearly a year with locks that would be easy to attack.

Avoid use someone who is registered with a reputable organisation

The guy who attended seemed really great until he added VAT after a cost had been discussed. Charged £70 for labour and he was there less than 15 minutes. Also charged £85 for a thumb lock and I can't find anything of the highest calibre more than £60. I never got any paperwork even though the lock is meant to have a 10 year warranty. I asked for proof of purchase of the lock and an invoice and I'm still waiting 3 weeks later! Unfortunately any attempts to voice my concerns to both the locksmith and the company G-Locksmith have fallen completely on deaf ears. Please totally avoid G-Locksmith. The G is meant to represent Gentleman.....what a joke, they are far from it! Use a locksmith who is registered with a reputable organisation.

Rip off

Made the mistake of panicking and taking first locksmith off google as I needed to get to work asap. They did come out super quick but charged me £250 to change a barrel. Way overpriced for 5 minute job - daylight robbery.

Pricey emergency call out

I expected higher price for emergency to get into house as I didn't have key. The visit charge of £130 I wasn't surprised at, but £179 for replacement cylinder lock was overpriced by at least £100. He did drill through the cylinder but that was also no surprise...I could have just paid to get in the house and waited to get a cylinder lock myself. Fortunately no damage to door or handles. I feel a bit better now that I see I am not the only victim! £300 seems the going rate for these guys.

Extortionate prices, stay away!

Same as other reviewers, I’ve suffered an extortionate price just for a door handle that cost £6, they have charged me £120.. the labour that was supposed to be £49 came up more expensive as well so total to change a door handle was £188 which is a rip off. Also wished I’ve seen these reviews earlier. Stay away from this company at all cost.

Be careful

Called a local company. So I thought. Door not opening due to faulty mechanism. Prompt service. Technician not English. No problem. New mechanism needed. As I thought. £309 charge for one hour plus parts. When the bill came via email. The company is London based hence London prices.

Charged my widowed mum for 20 minutes…

Charged my widowed mum for 20 minutes work to adjust 6 screws in the hinges and change a euro lock £204 and she gave them a £10 tip as just lost her husband
I called the manager he basically laughed and said that’s our price .
Avoid at all costs scum of the earth. How can they do this to a vulnerable widow.
I have never wrote a review but these guys are vermin. AVOID

My daughter locked herself out of her…

My daughter locked herself out of her flat…. The guy (Eastern European)turned up and instantly declared that it was a high security lock and it would be £400 plus VAT on top of the £49 call out charge… The lock is a standard Yale lock…. Luckily my daughter couldn’t afford the £400 so he left after taking the £49 for doing nothing apart from turning up and blatantly lying.. DO NOT USE
