I reserved a round at a resort in WV. The WV course's site automatically connects to Golf Now. I paid $65 online. When I arrived, the pro shop person told me that their system indicated that I had not yet paid. I was also told that the winter rates were still in effect and walking would cost $15, not $65. I paid an additional $15 in cash and figured that I could call Golf Now and the charge would be reversed. I got an incompetent idiot with an Indian accent who was not proficient in English. The $65 charge was not reversed. Golf Now stole my money and got away with it.

Thank you for your feedback. We're sorry to hear there was a disconnect between the course and platform. Please DM or call us, 1 (800) 767-3574, we would love to help correct the charge.
This is a follow up to previous post. I contacted Golf Now because of their response to my Trust Pilot survey and claim that they “would love to help correct the charge.” It was quite a hassle and rather quite bizarre. The customer service representative, so called, advised me that he would need to contact the WV golf course pro shop and have us on a three way call. I explained to the Golf Now representative that Golf Now has already pledged that they would pay back the money that they stole. I realized that there was no point in arguing with a guy in India or Singapore and agreed to the 3 way call. The guy at the pro shop in West Virginia was awesome and stated that he remembered the incident, completely corroborated my version of events and went on to bash Golf Now and how golfers get better rates if they contact the pro shops directly and that the transition of WV’s 4 state park golf courses to Golf Now has been really bad. This process took almost 30 minutes. After the pro shop guy in WV hung up, I was advised that a manager from Golf Now would call me back to set up my reimbursement. I was contacted by Ridley, who was surprisingly proficient in English. Ridley sent me an email with instructions for all of the supporting information that I WOULD NEED TO SEND Golf Now. I fruitlessly tried to explain to Ridley that Golf Now has already agreed to pay back the money that they stole from me. Ridley agreed, but said he still required me to send screen shots of the charge, the last 4 of the credit card etc.
I contacted Golf Now the day after my round to request a reversal of the charge. It was not successful. I contacted Capital One to dispute the charge. That suggests that 1. Golf Now did not cooperate with Capital One 2. Capital One is completely feckless and treats their customers badly. I have disputed 7-10 charges over the last 20 years and this is the first dispute that was not successful. 3. Golf Now is completely happy to steal money from its customers and only responds when poor reviews are available to the public. 4. Even after agreeing to repay stolen money, Golf Now has yet to reimburse me for the money that they stole. Ridley told me that he would help me. I provided him all of the information that he said was necessary, but he has yet to follow up. Subsequent calls to Golf Now have only resulted in pretend customer service with buffoons who seem to only be capable of saying "may I please put you on hold for a brief moment" or "I am going to help you."
This is an update. Ridley at Golf Now has again pledged to repay me, but continues to hide. The customer service agents, so called, at Golf Now are just liars and thieves.

My experience at Olympia Hills was very positive. The fairways were in pretty good shape for Kate winter. The greens were recently overhauled but still in great shape! Each hole had different landscaping with sand traps, water,..uneven terrain,…all that made play today very challenging.
The Marshall kept the flow of players up tempo so we weren’t waiting at any tee box! The course was very enjoyable to play. I had a great time and will come back. Mark

I've had mostly good experiences, with some bad, with GolfNow over the years; but my latest experience has led me to discontinue any further involvement with GolfNow . . . here's my story . . . I booked a Hot Rate deal on GolfNow for Nayar Course / Puerto Vallarta, 2 pm on Wed, Feb 26th . . . got all the way to the final, confirm stage -- and then I got a message 'This tee time is no longer available." . . so I tried to book the 2:08 pm tee time . . same routine, all the way to confirm, and 'This tee time is no longer available.' . . . hours later, I checked, and -- of course -- both tees were available . . tried to secure, same no luck . . then, I tried chat, phone calls, etc., and I found GolfNow to be incredibly unhelpful . . so yesterday, after two days of trying on the portal, I called in, explained all to a rep, and she said that she'd have someone work on an override due to the internet issues and reconnect . . did that help in any way ?? Here's the message I received -- 'We regret to inform you that your override request for Vista Vallarta Golf Club was unsuccessful.' That completely unhelpful, unsupportive message was, for me, the end of about 2 hours of wasted time trying to book a tee time on GolfNow . . . .
that will never happen again . .
thanks for listening, Steve J

I used Golf Now several times and it was a good and convenient app to find a golf course. I stopped because they started charging me 1% for “charity.” I give to charities, charities that are important to me and my family. I do not know who or how much GN gives the monies collected from it subscribers. I will not fund charities that I am opposed to so I have stopped using golf now. I have learned it isn’t much of a savings anyway and canceling, if necessary, is much easier directly with the course. GN is a good business but has decided they know better how to spend our money on charity than we do.

It had sucked I just left a 5 star review to see if I could get a response from golf now because I've noticed so far they only resp and to good reviews and does not try to help with any of the problems ppl keep having I myself have had good and bad experiences but one thing for sure they have been very confusing and impossible to get ahold of and they don't seem to care

It’s been a fairly easy booking experience for me over the years. Not to say that it’s been an affordable experience but what’s not expensive nowadays! I really love the game of golf so I’ll probably continue to pay the unreasonable prices to play, until I retire and then most likely will get my fix at the range. By the way, I live in California where we just bend over and take it like a man😩
I did not receive the convenience fee discount
Some Golf Courses in the area will only let you book 2 player via the GofNow App. Sometime I do play as a single, however I am excluded from playing these course as a single player unless I book it directly with the Golf Course.
Deceptive advertising for Golf Pass+ Membership.
As a Black Friday deal in November 2024 Golf Now offered their Golf Pass+ Membership discounted from the regular price of $99 to $79. The offer stated clearly (I made a screenshot) that the offer included one full year of waived tee booking fees. Today I booked my 11th tee time and Golf Now charged me a $6.98 booking fee. When I called customer service about this they asked that I email them a copy of my screen shot. Then I got a call back about an hour later from an agent (from India) that said that I only get 10 waived tee credits and that the offer did not state that they were waived for a year. Following is the offer wording verbatim. FOR A LIMITED TIME GET $20 OFF A MEMEBERSHIP THAT INCLUDES WAIVED TEE FEES FOR A FULL YEAR. This could not be more plain, but the agent keep telling me that is not what the wording was even thought I provided him clear proof. Beware of Golf Now as they don't hold up their end of the deal.
When the golf course closed due to weather, there was no way to reach anyone for any reason. I couldn't play golf, cancel, or even get a hold of anyone to get a credit to play again. I was on hold for 45 minutes two separate times and got nobody, I tried to send 3 different emails and it said it could not send. What a joke. Never, ever, ever use them. Call the golf course instead and save yourself a headache.
1/14/25 update: I updated my review from 1 start to 2. They did finally respond back to me via email, and they did reimburse me. Basically, I was on an annual auto-pay, and I forgot, don't use the service anymore, and it auto-got me, for 2025, since I forgot it was on auto renew. They did finally reimburse for that, so that was nice of them...but they sure don't make it easy to contact them when you need to speak to someone LIVE. Impossible actually.
ORIGINAL REVIEW:
Omg, company is a joke. Can't reach customer service, they provide no other means to reach them, besides an automated phone system that never takes you to a representative.
Horrible horrible horrible.
GolfNow idiots... If you're out there reading this, contact me, and maybe I'll remove this review. Quit stealing my money.
