Do NOT use this service

Do NOT use this service! We paid over $50 for 2 copies of a birth certificate and waited and waited. Today, we called and found out the state of Nebraska hasn't even gotten an order, they said it is a fraud, get my money back. The lady at Vital Records said to print, fill out the request, copy your drivers license, and send priority mail with a prepaid self-addressed envelope to them. The day they receive the priority envelope they will fill the order and send your certificate back. Send the fee, Nebraska was $17, in a money order. I called GoCertificates, they are supposed to send me a refund but the supervisors are not in so I am supposed to get an email and refund shortly.

Scummy online ID upload requirement

They are requiring me to put in my ID to receive my son's birth certificate and I already verified me with my ssn and verification questions. I will NOT be uploading my ID online anywhere, so requiring my ID requires me to get a refund. Scummy company, avoid if possible.

I recently ordered a certified…

I recently ordered a certified [birth/death/marriage] certificate through GoCertificates.com for [Pennsylvania / your state], and everything went smoothly from start to finish. The website was easy to navigate, the upload process for my ID and supporting documents was straightforward, and I received clear instructions every step of the way.

Scam do not use

Scam do not use. I can’t believe the site hasn’t been shut down. Never received my son’s birth certificate. Ordered from vitalchek like I meant to do and got it a week later.

Went here for a birth certificate

Went here for a birth certificate. DO NOT , go to whatever states official page which will be cheaper anyways. After ordering the birth certificate just now, I'm then asked to upload my GA ID, and I live in SC. That is very deceptive. Especially when like I said , had I went to the GA page I could have used my ID there. Don't know how it's going to go with my refund but I will come back with an update.

This has been one of the worst…

This has been one of the worst experiences I’ve had with an online service. I placed an order and waited for weeks without receiving any updates, responses. It was a complete waste of time, and I wouldn’t recommend this website to anyone.
Fortunately, I later found a reliable vendor through Instagram who handled everything quickly and professionally. Thanks to Trustpointids, I was able to receive my certificate promptly and without any issues.

This is the worst website you can use…

This is the worst website you can use if you’re trying to get a certificate. It’s a waste of time. After ordering waited for months and never got a response or my money back. Don’t use this service. I was able to easily get a certificate online from an lnstagram vendor who didn’t waste time. They delivered fast and were responsive at all times. Thanks to the aid of stealthdmvs I was able to get the certificate.

Scam website - avoid!

I waited three months for my birth certificate and never received it, only to find out today that they did not accept my ID photo. I was never notified that my order was canceled, and the order status was never updated on their site. It is amazing to me that this site is used in any official capacity by the state of Colorado. Shameful!

I can concur with all the low rated…

I can concur with all the low rated stars on this company. I had to get my birth certificate as fast as possible. Promises, promises to have it expedited to me, saying I would have it in 7 days. Well, it has been over a month and just got the confirmation from the Records department in my state of birth, I will get it in 3 more months! It has already been over a month since the '7 days' expired. This is a lying, scamming company. I could have flown to my birth city and have a better job done. Do not use them.

Beware

Beware: GoCertificates is partnering with and recommends 'Notaries on Demand' to complete documents that require notarization. This is a company that deals with customers via online intake and a video call.

After 2 hours of requesting services with their partner company, I have not been contacted by a person. I have however been sent through a digital process that is painstakingly slow. After requesting payment ( which doubled the $25 fee with other misc charges, now $50) they still have not completed the process of providing the service for which I paid.

I tried reaching out using their live chat twice to no avail. I then sent an email to Notaries on Demand and they never replied.

After the fact - I realized they are not an accredited company nor do they have sources to place a review. It is my assessment that this is a scam.

I am concerned that GoCertificates is partnering with this company and wanted to provide a consumer warning.

Shady Excuses

Seems like this business is shady and only money hungry. I ordered a birth certificate 2/27/24 with paying the required fees. The company got the funds for which I have proof.
Excuses are being made to keep the money. No fees or even a penny should be kept by a business like this. No birth certificate to date:

Avoid Products Ran on Genesis Software

Anything using Genesis software isn't the way to go. Since I ordered on the 9th and uploaded my ID, the only two e-mails I got was an Order Confirmation and an Upload Confirmation. What Genesis hasn't sent by text or in any of my e-mail folders for the past two days was a notice that my pictures were insufficient. Both customer service reps I talked to insisted that I was sent an e-mail and text saying something along the lines of "upload unsuccessful" or that if I clicked the link after "update to order status" then I would see this, and even got combative when I checked All Mail, Spam, my text threads, and the link from the most recent e-mail on the call and saw nothing. Not including the fact that I have been checking all of these since I last uploaded my ID. In the end, I've come to the conclusion that it lets the support know on their end about the error, but it didn't let me, the person that could fix the error, know about this issue. When I suggested letting a higher-up know about this serious issue, the first customer service worker I called said there was nobody that could be notified about this system error, and the second one said that she could talk to the IT department. Other than the system being not properly sending out important updates, it seems like Genesis customer service hasn't been given a consistent protocol to follow. I am still unsure if this issue, that other people in the reviews have experienced, will be fixed for their future customers. This gives me the impression that everyone should take their business elsewhere, since Genesis Software and customer service is seriously unhelpful, opaque, and inconsistent.

They don't do anything beyond send in your form

As a service that charges you a premium to submit forms to a goverment agency, you'd think they'd go to bat for you and make sure the form you submitted gets processed in a timely manner- this is NOT the case. They submitted the form, same as I could have done myself and then did zero else to follow through, leaving me to have to call the records office myself to get it pushed through their system (apparently the form was "in a pile" and had I not called was not likely going anywhere). Waste of money.
