Excellent people, good service, good cars. Excellent car drop

I’ve had absolutely brilliant experience hiring the car from this company. Got nearly new Toyota Corolla Hybrid, which was spotless inside. Pick up and drop off are the best, totally hassle free. Didn’t have to take any pictures before or after (took their insurance which wasn’t expensive), just keys and go. Cars are fully tanked, so you have to return it full as well, otherwise the fee will be deducted from your credit card.
Paid low deposit of 200euro
They provide shuttle bus from the Tenerife South Airport.
I will definitely hire a car again from this firm, thank you.

Easy pickup, car was in good condition for family and no hustle with the car. Got full insurance for this. Delay in returning deposit for car.

Our flight landed around 9.30pm, we only waited a few minutes for a van to arrive and dropped us at Gobycar’s office around 10pm. The last thing you will do after a long day is read signs on the floor as you come into the desk office. You are supposed to take a number from the ticket machine across the room, but you only know that if you read the writing on the floor.
We saw a couple in the other room, but we assumed that they are waiting for their car or waiting to be called to be taken to the airport. We headed towards the desk on the far right and the agent told us to take a number on a rude tone. We got a number and then headed towards his desk again, not being clear what we do with the number, we thought that maybe he needs it for paperwork or it’s procedure. While heading towards him, even more rudely, as if we were some idiots trying to cut in front of others, tells us that there are people waiting and sends us to the other room. We have rented over 50 cars across many countries and we have not seen this system before, so it’s not something you expect, even if for the agent it might have been obvious as he works there. Not a good start for the trip and not a good experience from Gobycar. Luckily, his colleague was nice and we didn’t have to deal with him again.
We booked a Tucson, but got a Qashqai, which we felt was a slight downgrade, but at least the car was brand new. No other issues after that. When we returned the car, a van pulled in to take us to the airport within seconds. Overall, because of the attitude of that agent, we will think twice if we use Gobycar next time we book a car in Palma.

Luckily I booked for comprehensive insurance cover through their own site rather than a 3rd party; which I suppose reduced friction on front-desk. I have been there in past so was glad to avoid that persuasion.

Apart from that the experience of hiring and return was quick and great. Staff who I dealt with were great and helpful.

Whatever you do, do not rent a car from this company. Gobycar is running a massive scam that specifically targets tourists who book through third-party sites like CHECK24. We returned our car in flawless condition on a Saturday morning and literally minutes after their office opened, they sent an email claiming hundreds of Euros in damages. They provided zero photos and zero proof of where this supposed damage was, they just stole the money from our credit card immediately.
It is a complete trap from the start because they never give you a paper contract and they only email the list of previous damages once you have already driven away from the lot. On top of the fake damage, they also double-charged us for an additional driver that was already paid for on the first day. This is not a mistake, it is a calculated business model.
I am calling on every single person who has been ripped off by these people to report this as a systematic fraud scheme to CHECK24 and demand they be removed from their platform. Please also file a formal complaint with the Spanish consumer protection authorities (OMIC) right away. We need to flood them with reports so they can finally stop this company from stealing from more people. Avoid Gobycar at all costs if you don't want your holiday ruined!

Seamless experience in both rent and return. Great, brand new car. One of my best car rental experiences.

I had a great experience with GobyCar in Seville. The service was smooth and efficient from start to finish, and the car provided was in excellent condition and very comfortable.

A special mention to Juan, who drove the shuttle bus to and from the airport. He was extremely friendly, welcoming, and made the whole experience even better.

Overall, I was very satisfied and would definitely recommend GobyCar for car rental in Seville.

Charged 360 euro for non existing damage
When asked to view damage attendent found it hard to find first time.
Car had over 6 , some quite significant damage when we got car.
We picked car up at night and did inspect but found no additional damage. We would not have seen damage we were charged for .
We carry or own excess insurance so fell this was reason as they had 980 deposit on file.....
Total scam but i will take all the way legally to fight...
Do not rent from these guys....rent is cheap but there is a reason for this.....

We got a new hyundai i20 full of options and low mileage. We chose full insurance so we had no headaches with excess fee. Everything went fine, transfer to airport was very fast, it was expecting us at meeting point and on flight back they were very fast. Totally recommend Gobycar!!

Pick up was so easy, got a brand new car. The lady at the desk (I didn't catch her name unfortunately) couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. Return was equally easy, lady checked car for us and deposit returned straight away
