You Could Not make it up

I went through hell with this company who actually act for other travel companies insurance. Totally devoid of any professionalism or basic management skills everything said in Trustpilot reviews is true. Thousand and one excuses for delaying tactics and information confusion even saying that information sent by my doctors to be in a unreadable format pathetic comes to mind. After a year of constant hassle and dumb excuses they finally paid in full my claim check all travel insurance and make sure global response is not involved in any way.

This company's only business is to avoid paying claims

This company is a scam and a fraud, whose only business is to not pay your claim. Stay away from them!! We didn't realise that it was this company because it was bought under a different name so make sure you check who the actual under writer is when you purchase your insurance. we had to cancel our trip because of an emergency back surgery for my daughter 4 days before our planned trip in Aril 2024 - a year ago!!! we have been since then chasing them and they have avoided paying with various and ever changing excuses. we have now contacted the financial ombudsman who upheld part of our complaint. just want to warn you. this company needs to be stuck off!

Would give no stars if possible. Do not use this company, you have been warned! I am amazed they are in business. If anyone has given a good review, you can be certain it's fake. Absolutely appalling, dreadful company. Pursuing my claim with the Insurance Ombudsman. Been fobbed off since October 24 with no outcome!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

Please, please, please DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, its subsidiary IMGlobal, or No Limits Travel Insurance!

After using a comparison website, I took out travel insurance with NoLimitstravelinsurance.com and unfortunately had to have emergency medical treatment for ACUTE gastroenteritis whilst on holiday in December.

Firstly, I did not realise that No Limits do not handle the claims. They are `dealt with` by Global Response (aka IMGlobal).

Despite providing them with a full written report from the Doctor who treated me, which clearly states that the reason for treatment was ACUTE gastroenteritis, they have refused to pay up - using a variety of excuses, the latest of which is that they want me to pay (for which they have said they will not refund me) for a report from my GP giving my entire medical history for the last 2 years. Whilst I have no objection to them having this information, I DO object to having to pay yet more money, only for them to no doubt come back with yet another reason why they won't pay out. An ACUTE condition such as gastroenteritis is exactly what it says. ACUTE. i.e. NOT a pre-existing condition. Unfortunately, from reading the reviews of others, it appears this is a very common occurrence. They just do not want to pay out, under ANY circumstances.

I am now seeking redress via the Financial Ombudsman.

DO NOT TOUCH THIS COMPANY WITH A LONG…

DO NOT TOUCH THIS COMPANY WITH A LONG BARGE POLE! If I could give zero stars I would. This company is a disgrace to an insurance industry already held in low esteem. I registered a claim with Global response at the beginning of June 2024. As of todays date, 1st January 2025, they still have not settled the claim which is now being referred to the Insurance Ombudsman. They simply email from time to time saying that they are investigating.

IMG Global Insurance and Global Response: A Nightmare to Deal With

If I could give zero stars, I would. My experience with IMG Global Insurance and their claims handling partner, Global Response, has been nothing short of a nightmare. Their behavior is appalling, unprofessional, and outright disgraceful, especially when dealing with customers in urgent health situations.

While traveling in Saudi Arabia, I experienced severe chest pain, dizziness, and neck pain. Naturally, I contacted IMG immediately. Instead of offering any meaningful assistance, they seemed more concerned about whether I would visit a private or state-run hospital. Despite this lack of support, I sought treatment at a major state-run hospital and kept IMG informed every step of the way, providing all necessary documents and receipts for a modest claim of around £700.

This is where the real ordeal began. After completing a long form and granting them permission to contact my GP, I submitted everything they requested, including receipts. Yet, they repeatedly asked for the same information again and again—sending me on a wild goose chase for forms I had already submitted, demanding unnecessary details like credit card statements (even though I paid cash), and even insisting I visit my GP to sign a declaration about pre-existing conditions.

When I raised a formal complaint, I was falsely reassured by a representative that everything was resolved. But after weeks of silence, I was contacted again, being asked to resubmit the same information I had already provided.

This endless back-and-forth shows not only complete incompetence but also a blatant disregard for customer well-being. The stress caused by their ineptitude is unforgivable. Global Response, the company IMG relies on, is clearly unfit for purpose. Reviews all over the internet confirm that they are one of the most unprofessional claims handlers in existence.

If you value your peace of mind, avoid IMG Global Insurance and Global Response at all costs. These companies are a legal form of extortion, prioritizing bureaucratic delays and excuses over providing the service they promise.

Absolutely appalling from start to finish. I will never use them again and strongly urge others to look elsewhere for travel insurance.

Are you reading this Travel Insurance Ombudsman?

How can the insurance ombudsman allow companies like Good to Go and Freedom Insurance to sell travel insurance without emphasising that if you need to claim you will be (not) dealt with by Global Response
who have one aim - to wear you out so that you throw in the towel and they don't have to honour their commitments.

Lack of response to emails regarding claim

I wish I had known and read reviews on Global response being the underwriters of Good to go insurance
Good to go insurance get glowing reviews for being easy to organise and cheap policies
However when it comes to making a claim different story
My claim has been refused and I have now sent further details and asked them to investigate further
Guess what absolutely nothing back apart from automated response saying they have received my emails
Looks like they have absolutely no intention of actually responding looking at my case
I hate to go down the route of complaints procedure and then ombudsman but it looks like that will be my only option
When I next look to purchase travel insurance I will for certain ask who the underwriter is and not ever consider any underwritten by Global response

Avoid like the plague.

When it comes down to dealing with a company you need a company you can trust. Sadly this company can not be trusted at all. They will try anything to delay or disqualify your claim and indeed tell blatant lies about receiving information from myself and my Doctors that I know they have received. When you do send absolute proof that they have received information they still deny it.
Sending emails and any other documents go without acknowledgement or denial of ever receiving them and a straight forward claim that should take no longer than one week can last at least three months, so far.
If you need holiday insurance do yourself a favour and get a reputable company, this so called company is simply not good enough.
One star is far too good for them.

Terrible Company. Avoid at All Costs! - An Update on My Nightmarish Experience

My initial review was a reflection of my disbelief and frustration with this company's handling of my travel insurance claim after falling ill in Dubai. Since then, the situation has deteriorated further, compounding my disappointment and justifying my warning to others: avoid this company at all costs!

Despite their eventual agreement to process my claim, their silence has been deafening. My emails have gone unanswered, leaving me in a prolonged state of uncertainty and financial strain. This isn't just about the money anymore—it's about the principle. It's about a company that not only hides behind obscure clauses to deny legitimate claims but also blatantly disregards agreed resolutions.

In my pursuit of justice, I've escalated my efforts, including adding more email addresses in my communications in a bid to get a response, any response. Moreover, I've taken to this platform to share my ongoing ordeal, hoping to alert others to the potential pitfalls of entrusting their travel insurance needs to a company that seems to lack integrity and customer respect.

The lack of accountability and transparency from this company is shocking. As someone who values principle, I find their conduct not just unprofessional but entirely reprehensible. This update is not only a cautionary tale but also a call to action for the company to right their wrongs.

To those considering their services, I implore you to look elsewhere. Your peace of mind, financial security, and principles are worth far more.

I was caught up on the Eurostar strike…

I was caught up on the Eurostar strike on 21st December 2023 and was faced with a decision of believing that Eurostar had on their webpage- no more trains on the 21st and no availability until Christmas eve and too late to get an onward train to Edinburgh, I booked myself on a flight home before availability collapsed and price skyrocketed (which they did). This saved Eurostar the nights accommodation and my insurer the cancellation or long delay payments.
So far in this Eurostar have told me that they can't pay out because I bought via Interrail, Global Response say that by making a decision that saves time and money I am not covered even though it is clear from earlier communication that internally, someone else thought it should be covered- I was sent an email saying they were going to pay out but had one more check to do.
All I was ultimately asking for a small portion of what I spent to be covered by my insurance as when one buys travel insurance the provider make nice statements about how one is covered for cancellation and delay. Well my train was cancelled, and my departure delayed and I was out of pocket because I was left with Hobsons choice about waiting and maybe not getting home before Christmas or taking some action that saved two companies money. It is reasonable to expect at least a delay payment. At Trust Pilot rating of just over 1, this company are clearly provide insurance in name only. Needless to say- AVOID!

Might as well not buy insurance if you buy it with Global Response

Utterly appalling - their whole aim is to waste as much of your time as possible and then not pay your claim. They want to exhaust you to the point where you'll accept anything just so the process can end.
Mine was a simple case of a lost checked bag, nothing special in it. I had to send them 80 separate documents, in several waves as they kept changing the goalposts and demanding new things. They asked me to list the things I didn't have receipts for, then asked me to provide photos of me with those things to prove I'd owned them, then they asked me to send screenshots of the replacement equivalants if I had to buy them now, then they after all that they refused to pay for anything I didn't have a receipt for.
