One of the most annoying upselling pieces of bloatware I have ever wasted money on

One of the most annoying upselling pieces of software I've ever had the misfortune to buy. I have been using it for over a year, yet every time it wants an upgrade. I have to go to a website to go through several stages, only to be up-sold stuff that I don't want, or need. Why can't it just update automatically since I've already bought a subscription? The minute the subscription runs out I will be cancelling it and I would advise other people not to bother using this as there are better alternatives that do not try to up-sell you things you do not need. Absolute bloatware.

Lenovo SFF ThinkStation

I installed Glary Utilities on my Windows 11 desktop because I thought the problem I was having with it downsizing windows and moving them on waking from sleep mode was being caused by registry errors, corruption, or bloating. Disappointingly, running Glary Utilities made no difference. However, after I ran it on an old Xeon W ThinkStation, I noticed a distinct performance improvement.

Glary utilities is great.

I use Glary utilities on all my machines and it works great. It is the first thing I install on a new laptop.
The free version is also stellar.

Does it all.

Does it all. Uninstalls, find files in seconds, cleans garbage and dupes, organizes, debloats, I have tried so many programs and Glarysoft is the only one I can fully recommend to anyone. Its a cornerstone program on any machine I operate.

Glarysoft offer no support

Glarysoft offer no support. A simple question becomes a mery go round with endless AI responses that have nothing to do with what was asked, and continue to link to web site information that has nothing to do with the question.

Don't buy the product if you expect decent support.

Fast, reliable, thorough and free for home users.

I switched from AVG to Glary Utilites a few years ago following widespread reports of AVG's diminishing reputation and performance so I write this after a at least a couple of years experience with Glary.

At first I would watch very carefully what it wanted to do, especially in the registry and I would examine the cookies it found after most browsing sessions and, unless I forgot, every time I finished working at my computer. It's been excellent, not one glitch and I now have suffficient confidence in Glary Utilities that unless I have a specific reason to want to see what it's tidying up, I don't even bother checking, I just run it.

I have high security settings, use a secure 'privacy' browser, and I've managed to rid my system of bloatware/spyware like MS Edge. Glary still manages to clean up stuff that my settings should have prevented from being there in the first place. Just one ask - incorporate an automatic registry backup option. Excellent stuff!

For your sake don't use Glarysoft or its Products

I have never gone out of my way to review something but here goes.

The software they offer works but is mostly just front end software for prexisting windows software. I had the pro version in 2019 which should have only lasted a year however I just found out that they have been secretly charging my card since 2019. It is 2023 that means they have been charging my card for the last 4 years. I logged into my account only to find they don't have a spot for you to remove your card on file and they also don't offer cancelation. Customer support will give you the run around and make it seem like they care but they do not. What they are doing is a scam but a legal scam. If you actually read the TOS (Who actually does this the documents are massive) they admit to being a frontend. Do not buy software or support them in any way. Most of what they use is windows LNKs with a frontend. That means their software is just Windows software with a pretty user interface. That is why 21.95 is doable because you are only paying for the front end. Also any service which forces you to kill your credit or debit card is scum.

(Forgive any typos ...)

A good all-in-one set of utilities for…

A good all-in-one set of utilities for helping to optimize your PC, easy to use, and not as heavy as, say, SystemMechanic (a resource hog).
Glary is lightweight and highly configurable. However, not all the utilities they offer actually work correctly - it is a mixed bag between those that work fine and those that cause BSOD.

My computer now runs like a new computer!

I had been having multiple problems with my fully updated Windows 10 computer. But, I was amazed at the number of, and the depth of the problems that Glary Utilities was able to find and repair on my computer.
My computer now runs like a new computer! I was expecting an improvement, but not that big of a difference!
I highly recommend Glary Utilities and the other products of Glarysoft, Ltd.

Zero customer service

I have been a subscription customer for a number of years due to the quality of the product and its user friendliness. However the last two years they have taken money from my account and then asked me to 'subscribe' in order to update, despite sending emails stating that as a subscriber, I need not do anything and everything will just tick over. I have contacted them two years running now to remind them that I have a subscription and at one stage was paying for two subscriptions just to get the update. Their customer service is now non existent and they simply do not reply. They have auto renewed my subscription and simply ignored requests to apply the funds to my account and allow me the updated versions. Pretty disgusted actually.
