Excellent products. I have been working with wood all my life and this is one of the best products I have tried. I am 93 and a half years old so have had plenty of products over the years. The sevice is quick and the packaging is perfect. Well done Gilboys. Fabulous

This is by far and away the best wax polish that I have ever used. I have tried many different brands and even dabbled a little in making my own; however, nothing has ever come close to this. It applies easily and smoothly and buffs to a wonderfully deep shine. I have spent a very enjoyable 2 weeks refreshing and refinishing our furniture and this has been a pleasure to use.

Would I recommend that you use it?

An absolute and unequivocal yes!! I only wish that I had discovered it sooner.

Prior to using Gilboys, I had always regarded wax polish as an optional extra, secondary to either French polish or varnish etc, but this wax is capable of giving a good finish in its own right.

For years i have used Osmo hard wax oil for renewal and restoration. After watching one of Gilboys videos, I decided to try Gilboys hard wax oil. I have a treasured cocktail cabinet that I clean and oil once in a while and this year I used the Gilboys hard wax oil. I am so impressed with this oil. Simple to use. Applies beautifully and the finish(clear satin) is superb. My go to hard wax oil in future.

Brought this as we were having a new oak table delivered. Use it on an old coffee table we had and it looks like new. Absolutely amazing.

Product delivered quickly to Northern Ireland and arrived very carefully packaged. Used the product to remove deep rust stains in Red Cedar wood panelling on the front of my house caused by its fixing nails. This product worked extremely well leaving wood surfaces transformed, and once sanded & Danish oiled, the rust staining was unnoticeable to revitalise expensive panelling which otherwise would have had to have been replaced. Very happy with the outcome.

The product is exactly as they describe and achieves a beautiful finish with ease. I used the hard wax oil and antique gold wax finish. Table is center stage now in our kitchen - beautifully radiant.

Having watched Simon’s YouTube videos I attempted to strip and refinish our Ercol dining table. I had never done this sort of thing so I called Simon's workshop and he talked me through the process. His advice was spot on and the hard wax oil worked a treat. As a complete amateur it was so helpful to have expert and friendly support come alongside his brilliant product. Where has Gilboys been all my life!? ❤️ My antique table had seen its better days. While researching how to rescue its dull top I came across a youtube video by furniture finish artisans Gilboys. After some email communication across the pond, I purchased this lovely kit containing two jars of beeswax, fine steel wool, polishing cloth, detailed instructions and a gift of some sunflower seeds for the garden to help the bees! Aw, these classy Gilboys) There is some application prowess to develop but wow what a result! I also used it on an antique German bread tray and an old violin. Wow, what a beautiful gloss from those lovely little bees 🐝!!! It’s not just about the honey people!

With Simon's help we have stripped our oak dining table of unsightly stains and sealed it with 2 coats of Hard Wax Oil. We are very pleased with the result. The wood has darkened slightly, but we were aware this could happen. The finish is brilliant and we now feel confident in using our dinning table and not being afraid of stains. Can't recommend any of Gilboys products enough. Simon's You Tube videos are extremely helpful. Polished it off with Gilroys Gold beeswax. Another excellent product and it smells divine. We fully recommend Gilroys products, all are made from quality ingredients

UPDATE: I recently moved from the US to the UK and have been getting into collecting and restoring antiques. After reading all the great reviews for Gilboys, I was super excited to try their wax on a 200-year-old clock I just bought. Unfortunately, Royal Mail ended up delivering my package to the wrong address, which was really frustrating.

At first, I had a hard time sorting it out because Royal Mail told me only the shipper could make a claim. When I reached out to Gilboys, I was a bit disappointed with their initial response. They said dealing with Royal Mail claims could be a hassle and suggested I should’ve chosen UPS for better tracking and insurance. At that point, I wasn’t sure what to do.

But then things got much better. After I escalated the issue, the owner of Gilboys personally contacted me. They were super apologetic about the miscommunication and quickly made it right. Not only did they send out a replacement ASAP, but they also made sure I felt like a valued customer. They really turned a frustrating situation around.

Now that I’ve used their wax, I can honestly say it’s fantastic—it brought out the beauty in my antique clock. What started out rough ended up making me a happy customer, thanks to their great service. I recommend Gilboys—not just for their products, but because the owner cares about their customers.

I must say how very impressed I was with Gilboys this week. After stumbling across their YouTube video on Oxaline Acid, I sought their advice via their website live chat. They gave me really good advice. I purchased their Oxaline Acid which arrived promptly. I was really chuffed with the tissue wrapping, free packet of sunflower seeds and a personalised note. It's very rare to get good old fashioned customer service. Well done!
