I purchased a Giant E bike and have ridden 1700 miles. The bikes performance is good but the design is not. My frame is a small and the top bar slopes more than it should a normal size water bottle will not fit. A 12 oz will barely fit but is impossible to take water bottle out while cycling. That is my only complaint but a serious one as I cannot drink while riding and my only option is a camel pack
Good service by mechanics at Radlett branch
A great annual gold service by the friendly guys at Radlett branch. Good workmanship; supplied with a full description of work undertaken, together with replaced components proving the need for work; and good value.
Giant ebike 4 MONTHS problems
I purchased a £4000 Giant brand pro trance ebike last February from Rutland Cycling rutlandcycling.com over the internet. After approx 6 months it developed persistent problems with bike cutting out in wet weather amongst other problems such as battery lock and gears. I took bike to be sorted at Nottingham specialised bike store . Who failed to rectify any problems and charged me £80 . Subsequently Giant has offered and new battery replacement however my ebike has now been with them for nearly 4MONTHS and it is still not been replaced and they cannot give me a date when it will be fixed . Obviously this has been very frustrating and has coursed me a good deal of inconvenience ie 12 hours driving / three 90 mile round trips to bike shops and a good deal of stress and anxiety. The service has been exceptional poor from Giant/ Rutland Cycling and Nottingham specialised store . Do not buy Giant ebike trance pro models . All the independent bike stores acknowledge there is a problem with water ingress.
Don't knock it till you've tried it. "e" bikes are here to stay.
I have been a born again cyclist for around 6 years and bought an Enture +1 about five months ago. This is my first e bike. It has performed solidly and more or less with out fault. In fact the only fault it had was electrical which my local dealer/supplier soon sorted out. Turned out to be a loose connection in the wiring harness. The idea of having electrical assistance opens up cycling to a more aging population and, in my case, has helped me fend off the problems of old age. I can and regularly do cycle 60 miles plus on my bike only using above the eco mode to aid in hill climbs. The 500watt battery is capable of about 75 maybe 80 miles but at the higher end you risk running out of assistance. I have completed just over 4,000 miles since I bought the bike.
The bike is heavy and you must take this into account when buying. On the road the assistance soon cancels out the weight. When riding and I reckon eco mode is all you need to overcome it. The other 4 assist modes are a bonus.
Thank you Giant for producing a truly wonderful bike. Hills are no longer a problem and the open country side in Wales is again there for me to explore.
If I have a complaint it would be the forks. I just think that I would pay a little extra for air forks rather than the base sprung type. Perhaps they should be an option for the bike.

Dealth with top man Sean over the phone. Bicycle deliveried no problem. Beautiful bicycle. Thanks again Sean.
Local retailer have had my bike for…
Local retailer have had my bike for over 5 mths to replace failed hydraulic head unit, they noticed cracked frame when coming to fit new unit after an age. Warranty took far too long to ok and still waiting. Please don’t blame brexit for your poor service maskerading as a global bike brand. No rideable bike for months.
Steer clear.

Bought a Giant Full-E+0 emtb from Two wheels in Amblecote near Stourbridge in August 2018.
The bikes done over 6000 miles since then.
Had the motor replaced under warranty as it developed too much play in the right side crank bearing.
Only other issue was the Evo display kept fogging up.
That was done under warranty also by Giant, they honoured the warranty for that and some wiring a year after the warranty ran out!
The bikes been an absolute nutter, its taken me all over the place, hardly a moments worry and I ride it hard.
No complaints even after the warranty items needed doing, other than that its been a peach!
Thanks to Giant and to the guys at Two Wheels.
Much appreciated all.
Giant makes great bikes
Giant makes great bikes! They were the first company to mass produce carbon fiber frames. Also, thinking about buying a Trek, Specialized, etc? Most likely, the frame was manufactured by Giant!
Beware of what you buy and where
Beware, if you buy anything from a Giant franchise, you will only be able to exchange it or obtain a refund from the franchise where it was purchased. I found this to my cost when trying to exchange a Christmas present bought on the Gold Coast. I live on the Sunshine Coast.
got a problem under warranty, never got response
Got a problem under warranty, never got answer.
Giant is the worst company i ever had to deal with. they never responded to email or telephone. in 6 months never ever got someone interested in my trouble. they simply never answered until the product was out of warranty. criminals.
i will never buy another Giant's trash bicycle; money down the drain...
Customer support? What customer support?
.... What customer support?
They can not tell you which dealer has what inventory. Ok, so I had to spend hours on the phone to find a dealer that had my bike. They also do not allow their dealers to ship them in the first place!!! So I drove to a dealer 3hrs away to get the bike that I wanted.
When I arrived, I learned that the bikes are made up of different components, depending on what's available and what factory they are made at. In my case they put in a coil spring fork instead of an air fork. Didn't buy and drove 3 hrs back empty handed.
Buying a giant bike is a matter of luck!
Customer support doesn't answer to my questions.
What if I buy that bike and have an actual problem with it???
Giant Stance 2 2020 - garbage
Giant Stance 2 2020
My rear chain stay broke in August of this year and the bike was 2 months old. It took 3 months for Giant to come to the table and agree to replace the chain stay. Thing is it won’t be replaced until the last week of jan 2021 because they don’t have any parts in stock!! Over 5 months with an rideable bike.
Terrible company, terrible products, terrible customer service awful awful awful
rubbish
Wow, i was so close to buying two of their ebikes until i came to this site lucky escape!
The warranty is a joke!
The warranty is a joke!
I have a giant Defy, and after 3 months I noticed some cracks on the frame. I have 5 months since I reported the problem and they are refusing the repair. The motive: "it does not look like a material failure or factory mistake". This is from the pictures, they did not see the actual bike becouse they do not accept the claim from the dealer.
Best Brand Possible
There is literally no better bike brand in this world. Great build quality, good price, comfortable, and just fun to ride!
Never received the bikes I paid for
I paid for two bikes on 30 of August and I never received them. Giant customer service is a bad joke. I strongly recommend anyone to stay away from Giant bikes. It does not worth the stress.
Giant Ride Control app for e-bikes - Completely Unusable
I have a new Giant Explore E+3 e-bike. This bike doesn't come with a digital display, the user has the Giant Ride Control app on their phone instead. The problem is the app is a brick, it won't even open. This leaves the user guessing about their battery charge and range. I've run out of charge twice in the past 2 weeks. Giant points customers to their local bicycle dealer, but the dealers can't fix a defective app. It's a large bike company - they need to get on top of this. When I buy a bike for my wife next year, it won't be a Giant.
Don’t buy giant , it’s not worth the hassle
Bought giant roam 3 in 2018 and after 2 years of ownership it’s got to go , the build quality is rubbish .
The headset constantly comes loose and needs re torquing .
After a few months metal from
the wheels started to collect in
the break blocks in a big way ! ( the wheels were basically starting to break down ) giant advised to change break blocks
and weren’t interested in the fact that the wheels were falling apart. ( I had already changed the blocks anyway but problem still persists ).
I’ve had to have a new chain and now it looks like the crank bearings are worn .
If your thinking about buying a giant , don’t .
Like other reviews back up is no good .
Worst experience ever waiting more than…
Worst experience ever waiting more than 6 weeks for bikes (3 - Talon 3) that they are not making anymore!! but of course the retailer never had a clue of the status or what was going on with my bikes! but they where really quick to take the money in the first place.
Overpriced but usually they're one of…
Overpriced but usually they're one of only a few companies abroad that seem to have XL size. I've generally had great experiences with them but wish they were cheaper.
