My agreement was with GhostWritingEdge but my payment went to SOFTCINO LLC. I have no idea the relationship between the two.
I contracted with GhostWritingEdge on Feb 2, 2024. This started out strong and I was pleased with how they represented their services. Initially I was pleased with their efforts. Unfortunately, it did not end that way, in fact, very far from it.
Issues were (some of them):
• The process was supposed to take a couple months and went past eight months.
• Many, many, times their “revisions” to my manuscript introduced more errors.
• Representations in the agreement were outright false, such as guaranteeing me 80% of the sales price as my direct revenue from each sale.
• They often times took multiple days to a week to respond to simple inquiries
• They assured me that they would identify “public domain” pictures to assure that I did not infringe on copyrights. They did not do this and seemed to have amnesia about that representation.
• When I finally approved the book, exactly as it was, they published a different version on Amazon with incorrect page numbers, no ISBN on the title page, and no text on the spine of the cover. They told me this was an Amazon issue that I have to address to them, completely washing their hands of this. Amazon confirmed that what was published was what was received from GWE.
• The e-book published was a hot mess. Completely messed up TOC and links. Woefully unprofessional and actually an embarrassment. Again, they said I had to address that with Amazon, when in fact Amazon published what they were provided.
• There was so much more that was just completely fly-by-night.
• I had to, myself, urgently correct ALL of their errors so that this embarrassment didn’t go out for public consumption under my name
• I finally cancelled my agreement and demanded a full refund of my $999 payment. They agreed to the refund, which I HAVE NEVER RECEIVED.

I’m sure some have had good experiences with GWE. Not me. I would suggest that everyone BEWARE of doing business with them. If you us them, get everything that you can in writing upfront, and as I did, document everything that you’ve been told in writing. I did so, and have direct evidence of all that I have stated.

I will never use them again. I strongly urge anyone to stay clear of this outfit.
