INHUMANE MANAGEMENT AND TERRIBLE LIVING CONDITIONS!
I have been living with them for 3 years, every winter out heating doesn’t work properly and we need to use electric heaters on top of paying over £300 in heating just to try to not have a freezing cold home.

They arranged more than 20 visits, found faults but say the heating is working on paper so even though we don’t feel it at all they won’t do anything further to fix it or provide compensation.

We found out this was an issue previous residents also had but this was never informed to us prior to signing the contract and moving in.

They keep raising the rent, and my partner has started developing health issues due to this, Sam the Head of Management provides the most robotic and empathy lacking responses arguing that visits from the maintenance team mean they have fulfilled their responsibilities.

DO NOT MOVE HERE AT ANY COST!!

Awful communication from lettings agency

I would rather pay less for basic accommodation than live here again. Whilst I haven't had any issues with the flat itself the response rate of the management company is appalling. We have rang up, been into the office, and left maintenance requests on the portal and have been straight up ignored. This has caused unforeseen costs and stress with zero compensation from Get Living. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Unreasonable and Invasive Refund Policy



I’m deeply disappointed by my experience with Get Living. After a tenancy application fell through due to multiple issues , they rejected my application and are now refusing to refund the holding deposit I paid—unless I provide them with my bank statement.

Let me be clear: I have already provided my full bank account details for the refund, which has always been sufficient with every other organisation I’ve dealt with. Their demand for a personal bank statement is not only invasive and unnecessary, but entirely unjustified.

Under UK consumer and tenancy law, including the Tenant Fees Act 2019, a holding deposit must be refunded within 7 days if the landlord or agent chooses not to proceed with the tenancy.

Additionally, under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, businesses are not permitted to impose unreasonable barriers to refunds. Withholding my money unless I provide confidential financial documents that have no bearing on the refund process is a clear violation of this principle.

It’s extremely concerning that a company of this size is using these tactics to delay or discourage legitimate refunds. I have raised a formal complaint and will escalate this to The Property Ombudsman and Trading Standards if this is not resolved promptly.

If you’re considering renting with Get Living, be aware of their obstructive and questionable refund practices. Tenants deserve better !

Extremely disappointing experience with…

Extremely disappointing experience with Get Living. After being evacuated from The Filigree due to serious safety issues, I was placed in temporary hotel accommodation for nearly two months, with no clear communication about when I could return to my home.

After weeks of silence, I was finally offered the chance to move into a much smaller studio flat — not as a temporary solution, but as my only option going forward. It was made clear that it was either take it or be left with nothing, and I was given no support whatsoever to manage the move, despite the huge disruption and cost.
To make matters worse, staff entered my flat without any notice or permission, which I only discovered through my home security camera. I tried to speak to them through the microphone, but was completely ignored. Later, I received an email saying that they would be accessing flats again using management keys without confirming a specific time — something that is both unacceptable and invasive.

Disgraceful customer service, overpriced horrific

Disgraceful customer service, can’t even do basic jobs like arrange direct debits, but somehow the tenant is always to blame. Messed us around at every interaction from pre-move in to post-move out. Overpriced for a basic apartment and no amenities, and it costs an extra fortune on top to secure a patch of concrete to park a car, as well as the buildings are unsafe as the doors are always broken, terrible parcel room and bin room systems. They seemingly paid for the cheapest contractors possible who left the fire door a mess when coming to fix it, then tried to take money out of our deposit for the damage they left. No attention to detail the entire tenancy until they spotted every hair and speck of dust upon moving out and tried to charge for it, despite it being in a better state than at moving in. Terrible company, DO NOT RENT HERE.

Great communication from the start

Great communication from the start. Really easy to arrange a viewing and put down a deposit. Aimee showed us round the apartment. Aimee was extremely helpful and knew all about the property which helped make the decision to take. Aimee helped us through the application process and was on hand to answer questions. When we got the keys, Kinga welcomed us to the property and conducted a safety walk through of the property. Kinga was very knowledgeable about the area and helped us settle in. Thank you both!

100% THE WORST AGENCY IN LONDON

. I applied for this development over a month ago, and my application kept getting brushed away by the staff here and the company they partnered with to complete referencing called ‘’complete moves’’. The first time my application got rejected due to affordability however I was then assured that I am able to apply with a guarantor which I did. Only then to get ignored and be told that they will not be accepting guarantors. I was then told to apply a 3rd time, however both companies get living and complete moves are impossible to reach their excuse is that there is no one available at the time even though I only call during working hours. I strongly advise you to check the reviews of complete moves as get living deals directly with them before considering an apartment here. I have never received such incompetent and poor service to the point where i had to raise a formal complaint and will be escalating this to the property ombudsman and the relevant bodies. This whole experience has caused me unbelievable distress and waste of time despite the fact that I meet all the criteria, they will reject you if they don’t like you and will claim that they don’t have your application.

Poor customer service, lie ,

Get living provide really good…

Get living provide really good accommodation and the concierge staff are great. The government advised companies to show restraint in the cost of living. However Get Living increased the rents an unacceptable amount. This shows greed and contempt for the customers. This is a warning great place but greedy company stay clear of it if you can

My bike was stolen

My bike was stolen recently at one if the bike storage in East Village, we had contacted them for an investigation, but they just claimed "that they cannot see their faces" like that's ok but i am sure you can track the key fob to the flat and can forward the info to the police. They never take anything seriously. For any reasons. Do not rely on their security.

Viewing at get living

The staff at get living were very helpful and friendly, especially Aisha who showed us around and answered all our questions! We managed to reserve an apartment the same day as our veiwing which was great especially since we needed a move in date that was soon.

Should avoid upfront rental and break clause

Rented New Maker Yards for 12 months then renew 6 months with upfront of whole rental. The new contract include break clause of 2 months notice so that I may get refund for early move out.

I sent move out notice to Get Living and had received confirmation, and the keys were handed to Get Living in person.
As I was busy with new home, I just sit tight and wait for the refund.
After about 1 month, I sent email to inquire the status of refund, receive reply that my contract should ends until the original tenancy and no refund was initiated. I immediate return call to state the above-mentioned facts.
I was informed that they will look into the case and return call soon.
I called again multiple times and they still said they will return call "soon".
Now considering going to property ombudsman.

UPDATE: finally received the 2 months' upfront rental on 5-Sept (contract ended on 27-May)

Avoid this company at all cost

Avoid this company at all cost. Terrible customer service, they don't care about the tenants after they sign an agreement, only care about getting the most money with least care. Portland Place is a joke, the people working there are a joke too. Avoid. Great area to live in, but avoid GetLiving.

FLATS FALLING APART.

FLATS FALLING APART.
We are paying over £3,000 for a property that is a health and safety hazard with no clear dial settings on the oven. The kitchen itself is falling apart with the door fronts cracked and chipped with the cheep quality lacquer pealing off.
The hot water tap never runs hot, the carpets are disgusting with past tenants stains all over them.

We have flagged this with Get Living and they have said they will not update any of the above.

Am looking to move property.
