Horrible company I new there was a problem after 3 months left hand side of temple area did grow they kept lying to me and told me it would grow out it never did do not go near this company for a hair transplant they are horrible

I had my FUE hair transplant done by Dr Tayfun Oguzoglu in Istanbul, Turkey in mid-December 2021. The contact with the surgeon was minimal and he barely spoke English. The consultation with him and the coordinator, Miss Ebru, who actually spoke English lasted about 5 minutes, during which I was asked what my expectations were and then he drew the hairline. I saw my hairline and said that the line seems to go slightly higher at one end than the other. He said that that would be corrected during the surgery and I should not worry about it. I do not think it was ever corrected. The language assistance was deficient in many ways and I did not even understand when or whether they made the PRP injections. All in all, I was advised that 4,600.00 grafts were implanted.

The surgeon did all the excisions and the majority of extractions, which was the most expensive package offered by GetHair.

I feel that my contact with GetHair after the surgery was dissatisfactory. 8-10 months after the surgery, I expressed my real concerns about my poor results by contacting GetHair several times but I received no reply from GetHair whatsoever until 1 year after the surgery when they requested my 1 year-after-the surgery photographs. I sent them the pictures, sharing my discontent with my results. Several days later, Mr Kaan Aksoy called me and we discussed my displeasure and disappointment and he said that he also felt that my results could have been better and that he would speak to the surgeon to see if he could do another surgery free of charge. I said to him that I was confused and regretful, considering my poor results, and was not sure whether I would want to have another surgery with Dr Tayfun, given that I was not satisfied with the results after his crucial first surgery in the first place. After all, my donor hair is limited.

I have not heard from Mr Kaan Aksoy further and the fact is that I remain unhappy with my results. Therefore, I would unfortunately not be able to recommend this place to anyone.

PS I have attached two pictures: one before the surgery and one 1 year after the surgery for comparison purposes.

I will keep it short and I have proof for all my claims:

The results are very poor. I've barely noticed any changes in my hair.

Response to my concerns was very vague in total. My consulting doctor disappeared after his trip to Bulgaria as he claimed, and so did Stuart, who was their point of contact. They both claim they've stopped working for the company right after the procedure.

After 1 year of waiting I finally confronted the team about the poor results and asked for the report, some person I've never talked to before said that they cannot provide the outcome report, that I've been losing my hair (convenient especially that I was raising concerns before with regards to regrowth).

They claim that they've transplanted 4000 grafts in 2 hours long session! The surgery was very rushed, my head was washed by the staff without taking care.

Also, the initial report states that I will get the PRP injection and that never happened.

I could go into details but I won't waste my time. I'm going for another transplant with someone professional.

I really wanted to give a good review but I just want to warn everybody - avoid GetHair / Dr T.

It's more expensive (I paid around $3000 with all arrangements) and the results are very very poor. Let my anger filled disappointment be a lesson to anyone who'd be crazy enough to even consider this pseudo clinic. It's all about the results for me.

Had a transplant about two years ago with get hair, left it this long for a review as they say can grow for up to 18 months.
Was told I needed about 3300 grafts and was to pay £3200 although when I arrived at the clinic I decided I didn’t want my crown touching and just wanted my front hairline sorting so they knocked it down to £2700, they told me it would take from 6-9 hours however it only took about 2 and half did feel quite rushed and when I mentioned I think they needed to bring the hairline down more they said it just looked that way due to swelling, now I look back and think they just rushed my transplant and didn’t want todo more. I received no after care what so ever and even what’s appd Stuart and he then replied asking for some photos months on and never heard from him again.
The hair transplant had worked a little however the hairline wasn’t brought forward enough and the transplanted areas are so thin and all single follicles that in opinion it wasn’t worth it. I am now looking for a second transplant and would definitely not go back I would also point out that get hair are one of the most expensive clinics in turkey and in my case bad results, I would attach photos but I am unsure how to if someone can explain I will.

Had a HT with Get Hair in June 2019. Chose them because they had good reviews and where more expensive than most of other companies in Turkey and wanted to eliminate chances of a poor transplant. Didnt work that way. Paid £3000 for 3000 grafts. Operation lasted only 3 hours 25 mins having been told it would last 5 to 6 hours. Simply not enough time for the number of grafts supposedly transplanted. If you do a search on other review sites or on their Facebook page will find a longer and detailed review. Needless to say many companies getting better results for less money, Do your research and if using Get Hair and have been told operation will take 5-6 hours question it because after the operation I was told they often only take 3 and half hours. You will find it hard to come by another company taking such a short time. Very disappointed and angry

Writing this review as I went with my Son to his initial Consultation i London, and then a few weeks Later accompanied him to Istanbul to have the procedure .
We were most impressed with the information and there was no hard sell.
We were collected from the airport and taken to a Hotel close to the Hospital.
In the morning he was taken to the hospital which was very clean and Modern, he had his own room where the procedure was carried out.
He says it wasn't exactly painful, just the initial Numbing injections. The Doctor carried out the first part, and the rest was finished by Nurses.
Its now 6 months on, and he is a different person, his friends and Family have been amazed at the hair growth already achieved, and he still has 6 months to achieve the final result . He is confident and happy and its made a huge difference to his social life . From start to finish it was Professional. Thank you Get Hair

In my consultation I was informed I would have 2,200 grafts which was higher than five other consultations I had (1250-1500), but from explanation this was that so the area would match completely with my current hair and "give a full front hairline." In actual fact 2664 grafts sole along the front hairline. The problems started the night before the operation. Despite being told I would be collected from the airport no one was at the meeting point. I had to call the contact at gethair – no one answered despite calling for an hour. I also tried my contact in Istanbul – they didn’t answer despite approximately 30 calls too. I had to find the hotel number and call them. They advised me to get a taxi which I also had to pay for on top of the >£40 in phone bills trying to contact the missing representatives.

On the day of the operation things worsened. One of the main reasons I’d chosen gethair was to allow for my head not being shaved. Once my head had been numbed they said they were just neatening the front where the hairs would be inserted. They proceeded to shave my entire head despite explicit instruction at all points throughout the consultation and again during the morning pre-operatively.

The consultant (Dr.Ilker) didn’t perform the procedure in its entirety as I was led to believe, mainly his technicians for all insertions, a point I also raised on the day as I had been informed Dr.Ilker would perform the operation. The technicians also didn’t use a microscope for separation – only magnifying head equipment and so hair follicle separation from the extraction graft was obviously not at the level I was lead to believe either.

Post operatively I was concerned about large amounts of fall out in some areas. Concerned about the significant early fall out (despite following the postoperative instructions to the letter) I was informed "your hairs will not grow equally on both side at the beginning, but eventually will look the same once the recovery period is completed."

Upon highlighting my concerns immediately post op and then at 3 months, 6 months, 9 months I was told my results were normal and the situation would improve up to the year mark. Then this arrived and I supplied more photos I was told that my result was “very good” and “the best I could expect.” I will happily provide pictures of the final result and pre operatively as I would strongly advise on using a different consultant and company if you wish for a better result if you hope for anything better than what I have received.

I had the operation over one year ago and the result post 1 year mark is very poor. There is sparse coverage which is far from what I was led to believe pre and post operatively. To quote the pre operative consultation documentation I should achieve "good dense looking hair for good styling," and when I contacted them pre op.

Every step of the journey has been substandard and the result is extremely poor. The results I have received are FAR from what I was led to believe I would receive and if these were “the best I could expect” then I would certainly never have gone ahead with the procedure with gethair or Dr.Ilker. I would strongly advise you to learn from my experience.

After i had the surgery, i had scrabs on my head, ive email the photos, they sayin that they cant see nothing, when clearly you can.

The service I have received was average and as of the procedure it was not painless as its was advertised. its been few months and I have not notice any change.

I'm a person who has been steadily loosing hair since my early twenties. predominantly on the front hairline. I tried minoxidil which only worked for me up to a point but over time the balding overpowered any affects the minoxidil was having. I also take Propecia tablets, which do little to regrow lost hair but instead block the hormones causing male pattern balding, (helping you retain hair and slow the shedding further).

I was not satisfied with maintaining a broken and patchy hairline and wanted to explore what i could do to restore hair density and coverage. I got in touch with a London clinic about the FUE process and went to several consultation (all of which i was charged a fee for). After a long arduous process over several months, during which i had to meet a number of prerequisites, i finally managed to get a date for the procedure in the London Clinic. (This whole process was not pleasant at all to say the least and just added to the stress. I had none of this with Get Hair who were very to the point and efficient.)

As the date of my procedure loomed nearer i started getting cold feet about the price i had been quoted (£15,000 for around 1500 grafts). I really did not feel at ease with this astronomical price. This is when i decided to look at other options and stumbled upon Get Hair. I knew enough about FUE by now from my own extensive research and my dealings with the London clinic to make an informed decision and also appraise and judge Get Hair accurately. So i decided to meet Kaan in their London office to get a feel for what they had to offer.

Kaan is an absolute professional. I appreciated that he was very educated on hair transplants and very knowledgeable in this area. He was also very ethical at the same time and did not at any stage seem to sell a dream or over promote any facts. He is an absolute credit to Get Hair to have him as their London representative.

I was astonished when i discovered the price difference between Get Hair and the London clinic i was already involved with and had paid a deposit for. Get Hair quoted me £2,300 for the same number of grafts (1500 - 1600) and the hotel accommodation included. From further research i now know this is closer to what you might expect to pay across hair transplantation industry. I was being horribly overcharged by the London clinic which could not even be justified by superior expertise, equipment or skill. In fact i would argue that Get Hair are ahead on all three!

I did foolishly and irrationally try to ignore Get Hair because of the perceived stigma of going abroad for such a procedure. The fact is the hair transplant industry is very well established in Turkey who have been right at the cutting edge of this, catering to domestic and European clients for more than a decade. I'm glad my common sense won out in the end and i cancelled my planned procedure date in London and arranged a date with Kaan and Get Hair.

I will now review how the procedure and my time in Istanbul went. You might be a bit underwhelmed as i really don't have anything notable to cover. Everything went exactly as planned. The hotel was great and the food good too. The whole thing was so smooth and stress free, that four months on and back to my day to day life in London it could easily slip my mind that this whole thing even happened. It could easily have been a dream.

The anesthetic jabs did sting quite a bit but the actual procedure isn't all that uncomfortable. I sat there pleasantly chatting to the technicians.

The only areas you might find inconvenient are the recovery period which for me was just over 2 weeks until all the light surface scabbing fell away from my head. The implanted hair will fall away too but new hair will start to grow stronger and stronger with each month. My balding was in patches rather than in regions so my results were very good. In only four months i have a full head of hair again so the 2 weeks of sporting a shaved head were certainly worth it. i tended to wear my hair short beforehand anyway. I still have 8 months worth of improvement to look forward too until the full potential of the procedure is reached.

I am really thankful and would certainly recommend Get Hair, they deserve all the success they will get.

I went to Istanbul for an operation with GetHair last summer, and wanted to post a review 9 months later to give an overall feeling about the whole experience and results.

Firstly, they are very professional and care about their customers. When I met Kaan in London for a consultation, I was immediately impressed by his calm, professional and informative nature and didn't feel as if I was being 'sold' to at all. Whilst GetHair's prices were far lower than other quotes I had been given and money was not in itself the biggest factor in my decision, I still felt regardless of price that their pitch was the best, so this prompted me to go with them.

When I arrived in Istanbul, I was understandably nervous about what to expect. I was greeted by Anand, my patient coordinator and a driver, and they were very friendly and helpful. Anand spoke perfect English so this made me feel comfortable. I was taken to the hotel, which was very impressive – posh and very friendly staff who were used to seeing patients stay on a weekly basis.

On the morning of my operation, I was picked up by Anand and the driver and taken to the hospital. Very clean and modern facilities, and there was a very pretty interpreter there to help me feel comfortable around the staff. After consulting with the doctor and discussing my hairline, I was taken through to operate. The operation lasted around 8 hours in total and we stopped for lunch. The op is not painful as such, but the several injections to numb the pain sting a little. I was told the team carry out 2 operations a day however, so they are very experienced in what they do. For the following days, the donor area is painful, but it does heal fairly quickly. Within 2 weeks all the crusting from the transplant is gone, and the ‘dead hair’ begins to fall out.

8 months later, the new hair has fully grown through, and I am pleased to report I am overall impressed with the results (a big improvement). GetHair are just as consultative and professional after the operation as before. As I had lost most of my hair before the op, there is more work to do, but if I have a 2nd transplant it will definitely be with GetHair!

Overall a positive experience and excellent value for money – highly recommended, and there really is no advantage to paying 4 or 5x as much to get it done in the UK.

First i want to thank Mr Kaan personally for his efforts, he is honestly a knowledable and wise person.

There are two types of people in the world, some that are willing to accept their looks and others that want to change them, so I'm one of the others that want to change them..
Its that i want to look good because when i look good it makes me feel good, when i feel good i make things happen in my life, confidence plays a big role in life for Success and yes I'm willing to pay the price no matter what! By the way people that have full hair will never really understand what is feels like to lose your selfhood as you lose your hair.

I did my home work and decided to go with Get hair because i new that the surgeon that works with Kaan is a master in what he does, he is very known in Istanbul and very qualified, also member with ISHRS, ASHRS & ESHRS and that is important to know.
The price mattered less for me, i just wanted some one that has good hands.

Left from Israel to Istanbul last week with a little bit of stress, driver drove me to the hotel, next day 9:00 pick up from hotel to hospital meeting the Dr and his team, very nice girls there was no problem communicating spoke very good english like me, the doctor was very professional he new exactly what kind of hair i had, made the hair line nicely and planned the 3500 grafts then started the hair transplant.

It went great and also fast with professional hands there was no pain at all. I was back to the hotel at 18:00 very tired , had room service bring me dinner took medication and fell asleep like a baby.

Next morning had breakfast pick up to hospital at 12:00 for after care with one hour lesson how to take care of the grafts (very important) from there straight to the airport back to Israel.

Its been a few days now after hair transplant and for sure i give you all a update after 6 months!

Honestly great experience, I have search before having hair transplant all over around London but very expensive, one day I was checking the website gethair and I had read all the reviews which where 5*. I called Mr Kaan and explain my situation then I book an appointment, when to the office to see Kaan I told him all about my hair,hi explain everything about the procedure and regarding the operation. It's been one month now and I can see the differentce I am very happy with everything, the hotel was really good , taxi driver was waiting for me at the airport took me to the hotel in about 30min drive from airport, The hospital was very clean an organised and the staff were very helpful and very friendly. I'm looking forward to see the full results.

I was very impressed by the treatment i received from DR TAYFUN and all the staf. throughout the surgery they provided a high level of professionalism genuine care which made my fir disapper the staff there made sure that i was well looked after .the surgery was not painful at all and all kept checking to see if i was okay. they also provided a good lunch.
its earley days to see any actual hair results but the quality of the grafting looks good and i am satisfied overallfor anyone planning to go you can try to do as i did . i went with my wife and i did mini holiday in istanbul is amazing city . overall i would say i am very happy i chose gethair and i highly recommend theam

I have been doing a lot of research on FUE HT and came across GetHair. From my initial contact with [Name] (GetHair UK manager) I was very pleased with his professional and approachable communication. He was very polite and friendly to deal with. [Name] also offered me particular dates which was convenient to me as I was unable to take time off work and was excellent in his communications whether it was by text, phone or email.

When I arrived at Turkey I was picked up from another location where I was staying as I wanted a few days to myself before going for the opp. The transfer from my hotel was very prompt and on time as agreed with the patient co-ordinator Simge in Istanbul. She was very efficient and helpful and made sure everything was organised whilst I was at the Hotel and also gave me full details of the hotel I will be staying and timings of the operation. [Name] did the exact same which was very reassuring. I felt very comfortable which helped me reduce some of the stress I was going through prior to the operation.

When I arrive at a very nice hotel I had breakfast and was picked up very promptly in an hour’s time for my operation. Once I got to the hospital Dr Tayfun gave me a quick outline of the operation and the great FUE team were very friendly and helpful. They welcomed me to the clinic and eased me into the operation. They really took care of me and were a wonderful team.

The operation took a while as expected and I felt a bit of pain to start with but after the Anastasia kicked in I was ok. The following day I went back for the after care and I really liked my new look and the results looked promising. Simge was very friendly and she advised on the aftercare and what to do next.

Now I am just waiting for my hair to grow which can take up to a good few months to a year and hope to see the great results. I am in regular contact with [Name] and will be seeing him for the aftercare and for any regular check-ups to see if all is ok and going accordingly.

I would strongly advise anyone who is looking at getting a HT done to use Dr [Name], GetHair as they are very experienced and professional, reasonably priced compared to UK or anywhere else. Istanbul is also a great place to visit.

Flew out on Thursday got picked up at airport and taken to hotel picked up 9 next morning taken to hospital witch is exactly as advertised had 3200 grafts done and a nice dinner. taken back to hotel, picked back up 9.30 sat morning taken back to hospital dressing changed and at airport for 11. All really nice professional people and spoke English. Just have to wait now for scabs to fall off and new hair to grow. I would advise anyone who is looking at getting a ht to use Dr Tayfun/get hair :-)

Is been two weeks since I have my treatment I haven't seen much yet that's because I'm still bold all I can say is so far so good but I will definitely inform you the out come

I have done research for 10 months easily. I read all the reviews here as well before I made my final decision. So I am happy to leave my feedback because it may help you guys as it did to me.

I have met with Kaan in London before I booked my tickets and it all went well. He was very kind and answered all the questions (even silly ones) in great detail, leaving no grey areas behind. So I agree with everything written about him here.

My operation was much easier than I thought and all the team members took very good care of me. Turkish hospitality is definitely amazing.
If you don't want to get stuck in traffic in Istanbul, I advise you to take an early flight or late one.

It has been 7 months now and I still get good growth. Being "able" to use hair products again and leaving those fibers aside is priceless.
I have already directed several friends to be honest and they liked their results so far too. Wish I could attach photos here and show you guys the amazing transformation I had.

At the end I saved quite a lot of money by choosing Gethair and they deserved every penny. I can assure you that you will be in safe hands and come back with full of hair!
