Your company was closed and I did need some information regarding my order but decided I would order it anyway as I liked what I saw very much and the offer on it was about finish so I really did not have much choice if I wanted to save over £300. I did not get the call I had been waiting for from the afternoon when I posed my question and it said I would hear within the hour but I still have not heard so I am going to call them.

Good quality product for a great price. Helpful and responsive, would have been 5 stars but took a bit longer to deliver than advertised.

A robust shed which was relatively easy to construct as a basic DIY'er.

Many of the timbers were very twisted and difficult to put together. There are gaps between the walls where one layer will not fit snugly due to them not being straight. The flooring slats are very thin and break easily.

If Trustpilot allowed 0 stars, that is what I would have given.

At the time of writing, my sheds have still not been delivered and nobody at Garden Buildings Direct has been able to provide a delivery date. Despite numerous emails, I have received little more than generic responses stating that the matter is being investigated or passed to another team.

I have repeatedly asked a simple question – when will my sheds be delivered? – and nobody has provided an answer.

The lack of communication, accountability and customer service has been appalling. To make matters worse, I was asked to complete a customer satisfaction survey before the issue had even been resolved.

Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company.

I wouldn't give any stars of allowed the company products and customer service are appalling. The shed we purchased leaks terribly, there are puddles of water. Ive had a formal complaint since February with parts being promised and never sent
Please do not buy from this company. My last option now is to try and have my bank claim back the money

Disappointing quality and poor after-sales support

I recently purchased a children's wooden playhouse from Garden Buildings Direct and unfortunately my experience has been very disappointing.

After having the playhouse professionally assembled, several manufacturing defects became apparent. Some of the pre-built panels had to be trimmed to fit correctly, there were protruding nails in factory-assembled sections, and I found the window glazing to be poorly designed, leaving gaps that I believe could pose a safety concern for children.

I contacted customer service immediately, providing photographs of all the issues. While they acknowledged my concerns and repeatedly offered replacement parts, they refused any form of compensation, reimbursement for the professional assembly costs, or any alternative resolution.

The biggest issue is that the playhouse is already fully assembled. Replacing structural panels would require dismantling and rebuilding significant sections of the playhouse, potentially causing further damage and additional expense. Despite explaining this several times, I only received the same standard response from different customer service representatives.

I appreciate that they were willing to supply replacement parts, but I do not believe this adequately addresses the inconvenience, additional costs, and overall quality issues I experienced.

Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Garden Buildings Direct and would encourage potential buyers to carefully consider the quality of the product and the level of after-sales support before purchasing.

From start to finish, I cannot fault the service received, the guy handling my order was polite, knowledgeable, efficient and extremely helpful. The greenhouse itself looks great and it's already full of plants. Really pleased with everything.

Very helpful

Ordered and paid for a shed almost 9 weeks ago. The order quoted 4-6 weeks and they still cannot provide a delivery date. I have had to cancel the order as they cannot tell me when the shed will be delivered and are also quoting 14 days for a refund. That’s 11 weeks they will have had my money. No updates on order other than “In production” which is the status shown when you’ve placed your order. Keep your money & find a company who will fulfil their orders. A load of others have complained about the build quality also so maybe a good thing I have cancelled. Just frustrating that I’ve lost all this time and they are unable to deliver. “We’re very sorry for the delay” doesn’t really cut it when they then continue with the same response that “the order is a priority but we cannot tell you when it will be ready”
I think 14 days to action a refund due to their failure is very poor customer service and shows how little they actually value their customers.

I would give this summer house zero stars if I could. The workmanship is terrible, the wood is cheap and flimsy, and the overall quality is far below what was advertised. It feels poorly made and certainly not worth the money.

To make matters worse, the customer service was shocking. My concerns were not handled professionally, and getting any help was extremely frustrating. I expected a much higher standard of both product and service.

I would strongly advise anyone considering buying from this company to avoid it. Save yourself the disappointment and spend your money elsewhere.

Do not use this company! So disappointed! Took the Experienced guy nearly a day to put this together! Nothing fitted! Side Panels were the wrong size! Bad quality wood! Splinters! They don't give compensation! After a long wait replacement parts arrived. Couldn't fit them. Would have to dismantle whole building to replace the side panel and window! Have photos to prove all of the above!

Good quality generally. Fairly easy to put together, although the instructions don’t tell you they supply extra pieces of wood, in some sections quite a few, presumably because of warping, breakage etc, but this caused considerable confusion when putting it together. Overall a good purchase.

On there website says next day delivery put in postcode said no next day please call.After calling she said 5/6 weeks delivery as I was going on holiday was happy with that and paid,three days later get a email saying 7/8 weeks phoned and complained she checked calling was definitely 5/6 salesperson said l.No offer of cancellation told me I can return it when it's delivered at my own cost.Unhappy but had no choice but to wait 8 weeks later still says its getting built when I phone again demanding a refund attitude after 8 weeks was fine we will refund you in 12 working days so in total waiting 3 months for nothing now have to wait on money back to purchase elsewhere.Worst company I've ever felt with never again if I could give a negative star rating would

I’m a business owner specialising in hard landscaping I’ve just spoken to Lou in customer services to try and get some more information and instructions on a £8000 building one of my clients ordered, they out right refused any assistance or information, we normally use Dunster house who are much much more helpful we spend over £100k plus on these building a year, we tried this company, terrible start, go elsewhere.

I've spent over £4,5k with this company and i'm so upset to still not have a finished log cabin.
Missing parts, poor-quality parts, damaged parts, loads of unnecessary extras, terrible instructions and a joke of a support team.
I have been waiting for 10 days for a reply to my complaint. Whenever I call the support team either don't answer or do then hang up.

The instructions are very vague. Doors and windows very basic looks like they are thrown together. The door frame is not square.The window space measures 58cm top and bottom and 57cm in the middle due to it being nailed there is no way to alter it. Small boards for front between window and door are different widths causing us to make a piece to fit in the gap. The wood was very warped and brittle. Not very Happy.

Great product, great service

I have more or less finished building my BillyOh 4000 greenhouse. My main criteria was size as u only had a small area so this greenhouse was the only 6 x 3 I could find. The price is cheap compared to others all though they would be 6x4. But the price was notable cheaper. For the price I wasn't expecting much and was pleasantly surprised at the end result. Still have the odd cover straps to fit. Its solid with no movement. The timber used is soft wood as i would expect for the cost. I have seen other reviews complaining and twisted timbers. I did have a few twisted but buying timber anywhere and you will find the majority of timber is so no real issue. I had no issues with the glazing panels . Overall I'm very happy with the product for the price.
The build took me 2 long days and its handy if you have some knowledge of carpentry etc as i did have to put a bit of thought into the build.
But as I said very happy with the finished product.
Garden buildings direct have been excellent all through the order etc process and fully recommend them.
