TOTAL SCAM WITH RECURRING CHARGES

I went in once to buy a piece of garbage mug that my daughter really wanted that you cant even put in the dishwasher and is probably giving us cancer. The cashier told me I could sign up for a rewards program that would email me discounts and inform me of sales. All of a sudden I noticed they are charging me monthly for a membership and the store I purchased at has since gone out of business. I guess the price went up because they charged me $11.99 for the first two months and now it was just upped to $13.99. Pricey for a nothing service that was provided.

Take 50/50 Chance

My item is stuck in limbo somewhere with the USPS. While this has nothing to do with FYE, the problem is... FYE took a week & an email before the item was shipped out. The package is lost. It's been a month and the USPS requires the original label (which I don't have) to file a claim and FYE refuses to file it and won't refund. Stay away from this company. Poor business practices. You'll be taking a 50/50 chance of receiving the item or a headache in dealing with them. Take your pick! UPDATE: I did receive my item, it took 6 weeks which was due to storms on the east coast. I just feel the company’s response times and genuine concern for the customer was better. My own experience was not favorable and this is my review.

Backstage pass

Don’t sign up for the backstage pass they don’t save you money. Some of the workers will tell you it’s completely free it’s not it’s free for the first 30 days then it’s about $11 and I’m sorry but $11 for only a 10% discount is a complete waste of money if you were to actually get 10% cash back maybe but you don’t I tried signing up and had friends try and we never once saved money. If you want to save money you would have better luck looking on the website it’s so much cheaper.

They mess up , you do the work

I ordered 2 different action figures and was sent 2 of the same one. In order to get the other one I purchased I was expected to become a de facto F.Y.E. employee & have to go find a printer to print labels,repackage their mistake,go stand in line at the post office on my lunchbreak or when it’s packed on Saturday,pay to have it returned and then wait 7-14 days for F.Y.E. to receive and inspect the item before they would send me what I originally ordered. All because they messed up. And for an item that cost less than 20 bucks I am expected to jump through hoops? That should be their tagline. “F.Y.E.-when we screw up we make you jump through hoops to get what ya ordered because we already have your money suckers” I would read F.Y.E. Reviews and proceed with caution. They don’t care about their customers. Your only recourse is email communication which can take 4-7 business days. What does that tell you? They aren’t busy replying to people emailing to say what a great experience they had. There’s no humans to talk to. The customer service line is a recorded message telling you to use the “contact us” email which generates generic replies. I will spend my collectible money elsewhere. It’s 2024. No one needs to put up with arcane shipping and return policies from a company who can’t put 2 correct items in a box.

Horrible

Horrible. They lied about having knight rider and they don't get of the computers to check in the back room lazy at basset place. And get this. I hope they know the one qt basset place here in el paso smell horrible like some one is doing weed in there. Get some air fresheners yeeesh

Don't sign up for FYE Vip

I bought a lot from FYE as Christmas Gifts, and the cashier explained I could save some money/earn a discount on the items I was buying if I signed up for their subscription service. Most subscriptions I sign up for when buying things don't cost, and the cashier never told me otherwise, so I agreed. He also never told me how much I'd be actually saving until he had already signed me up for the service.

The discount wasn't even worth the subscription cost. It was only like $5 or less, and I had bought about $60 worth of items. Had I known it would only save me that much, I would have said no. And then I saw how much they charged me. $12 a month is outrageous for a place that I visit maybe once every few months.

Not only that, the only way to cancel, is to go through customer service by calling or emailing. I tried to look for other ways, as I prefer canceling myself. I feel confident with my other subscription services because I have the ability to cancel when i want. But FYE makes accessing your account near impossible.

I'd be more likely to consider it if the savings were worth what you're paying to get the service, and if there was a more convenient way to cancel. I'm more inclined to trust them because I have the freedom of being able to cancel when I want, and not have to jump through loops trying to find another way to do it

When it literally should not be hard for me to do myself?

Case in point, it's not worth it, never sign up for it if they ask.

Item never received or offered a replacement

I ordered an item and it said it was delivered at front door/porch and package was not there. I contacted customer service and all they said was to open an investigation with USPS. USPS said was that it was delivered, so there was nothing they could do. Fye has an automatic response to respond to email by just repeating that I keep opening investigation with USPS. They did not offer any help, replacement, or refund, so now I’m just at a loss of the product and money. Never trust or order from FYE.

I wish I could give it less than 1…

I wish I could give it less than 1 star. They scam you with VIP backstage.

I was told it was annually 11.99 which is wrong. They will charge you every month on the time for a service which does nothing but give you 10% off. You would have to spend anything above $119.90 monthly to benefit from the subscription. This should be illegal and they should be sued.

Used to Be A Great Video & Music Store

They used to be a great place to buy video and music. Their stores have been transformed into a place for selling nerd junk rather than a real video store. Video selection is now small and disappointing. Read my review on Google about their return policy problems. Stay away from buying the Backstage Pass. It is no longer worth the price with their minimal selection of titles. If you must get it, cancel it after the trial period.

Received a damaged item, FYE would not honor replacement

I ordered a brand new Funko Vinyl Soda - Grinch, however the can it came in was severely dented. There were no dents on the shipping box, so FYE shipped it to me knowingly damaged. Upon unpackaging, I took photos, immediately sending them to FYE to request a replacement. Instead of sending out a new product, they insisted I send back the damaged item, which, though a pain in the ass, is okay. However, on asking them to save one of the remaining undamaged products (until the damaged one arrives) they declined to hold it for me; apparently being more important that they sell this product off asap, than fulfilling the pre-existing order or a pre-existing customer. They did offer me a refund upon its return, but that is not what I ordered. Instead, I kept the damaged item, which is effectively useless to me as a collector, and decided that, aside from the occasional exclusive, I will no longer do business with FYE, being a company that created a headache for me by not honoring an existing customer vs a speculative one. Repeated errors on their site wouldn't allow me to make purchase, they dragged their feet forever and I finally deleted my account

I have an old CD player in my car which won't play burned CDs. I have to use all store bought ones, which are difficult to find anymore. I planned to buy a bunch off FYE's website, after driving 2 hours to one of their stores and finding the selection pathetic. First it repeatedly refused to send me the coupon for joining. I had to contact them and wait for a response which took a while. That in itself would be okay. Then it kept giving me login problems, claiming I didn't have an account, etc. Finally I got in, got a bunch of stuff in my cart, go to check out. After the final page, when I hit "confirm," it took me back to the first page again. I tried this with multiple browsers. Had to message them yet again and wait for a reply. They told me the address I entered for billing didn't match and I had to call my bank. I copied the address directly from my online banking site, and confirmed with my bank that it was the correct address. My bank told me it was correct and that the problem was 100% on FYE. I contacted FYE and related this and waited several days for the reply that never came. My coupon expired, and I wrote to tell them I was going to delete my account after all this. This time they replied, to apologize for not being able to help. Yeah, whatever. I can't imagine trying to hand someone money and being given a runaround for weeks and then being ignored when my own bank says everything is fine. I mean heck, you dislike money so much, I guess I don't need something to listen to in my car all that bad.

Avoid like the plague!

My 8yr old daughter picked up some slipper socks and took them to the till. Price tag said $8.99 but with tax at 13% we were expecting the cost to be 10.17 or something like that. Man behind the till says ‘that’s $22’ to which my husband looked at him like he had 2 heads and the man then said ‘oh I meant $20’ ….. He literally just made up the price on the spot once he heard our accents (we were tourists!). Anyway, I took my daughter to another store where we got the same thing for around $10. Avoid this place like the plague because he should have been wearing a striped mask and carrying a swag bag!

Scam company

I ordered the SDCC Charmander funko pop and it got delayed because some of them were missing stickers. Well I never even received it because it was apparently stolen. Talked to support and my post office even opened up a missing mail search on USPS and waited 2 weeks to hear back about the missing mail search. It said that the status was marked as delivered as did the guy who delivers on my route and assumes it was stolen. The written documentation confirming my package was delivered apparently wasn't enough for FYE because they claim they can only proceed with written documentation regarding the search (even though I forwarded them an email that shows just that) and they keep pressing me to continue the missing mail search rather than refund me because they already have my money and that's all they care about. Avoid this company at all costs, it belongs on the list of other scummy companies like Pop In A Box and the rest of those scammers.

FYE lies to its customers

FYE lies to its customers. I canceled their backstage pass with a woman named "Joan" and received a confirmation code. They continued to bill my credit card, and, when I called them with my confirmation code, they said they could not find it and that they would keep the money. If you cancel, record the conversation so you can dispute later with your credit card company. Don't get the FYE Backstage Pass because they will lie to you.

Unknowingly charged credit card

The store is fun and pretty cool however they ruined it for me when the cashier asked me to sign up for the vip program and never told me of a monthly fee. They went ahead and charged the credit card that I used for Xmas gift purchases. I wasn't aware and never gave permission to have any future charges. Beware of signing up for anything from them. They will charge you monthly and don't tell you that they will.
I will never again even go in their store let alone buy anything.
