Very poor for the price. Uncomfortable beds and didn’t feel clean. The rooms are very tired. No biscuits or water with tea making facilities.
I had an incident where another guest was given keys cut to my room whilst we were out. When we came back to the room, our keys wouldn’t work, and met this hotel guest on the landing that said he had just been in our room!!! Got completely gaslighted at reception by Ethan, who said it wasn’t possible, and that my keys weren’t working because they had been near my mobile phone. He was extremely rude and I also witnessed him being rude to a visually impaired guest. I asked if he could escort me to my room (bearing in mind I was on my own as a female with two young children) to check no one was in there and that nothing had been taken and he refused and said there was absolutely no way anyone could have been in the room.
Thankfully lowenna came to my aid, and escorted me back to my room and spoke to the other hotel guest about what had happened- the hotel had promised 2 rooms next to each other to the other guest (one of them being mine) and had given him keys to my room, of course this guest was also upset that he couldn’t have 2 rooms next to each other.
Not sure why Ethan felt the need to be so rude and lie to me? Probably because he knew he’d mucked up. Reading through the reviews I’m not sure why he’s in a public facing role as seems to be a recurring problem. Apart from lowenna the majority of staff seemed miserable and like they didn’t want to be there.

No help

Went on 28th June for a comic con events and i lost some small items including my headphones. Called a few days after and asked to have some.help finding them, was told I would be called in five minutes. It is now July 9 and still no call, will call soon and ask for help again. Awful staff service for taking my personal details and not calling. If you need help finding things don't ask the hotel you'll never get help quite frankly I'd like them to buy me new headphones as I go on holiday in a couple weeks and dont want to buy headphones. I know it won't happen but it would be nice

Good night's sleep

Was a bit concerned after reading some reviews of the Bristol hotel but ended up having a really nice stay. Breakfast is probably a bit overpriced for what it is, but we had a really good night's sleep.

Stayed in Cardiff

Stayed in Cardiff. Reception staff rude and unhelpful. Don’t bother with the rewards scheme as you can’t redeem the points. Staff kept saying that they would help with the issue but they just constantly lie and are extremely patronising. Avoid

Pitiful service and lack of responsibility

I have stayed in the Bristol hotel in the past, and to be honest, the experience wasn't great, but that was a few years ago. Unfortunately, the standards are still low. To start with, the service at reception was poor. The room was covered by a company credit card, but the receptionist (with no name badge) still insisted that i provide a personal card in case I damage the room.

Ironically, what is ruined is my jeans. The housekeeping clearly hadn't done their job properly. I sat down on the chair in front of the desk to take a call, not realising that someone had left fresh gum on the seat that ended up on the rear of my jeans. After trying to remove it (impossible), I go down to reception and speak to the duty manager. His response is for copies of the images along with replace the chair.

The only ones who could make a decision are housekeeping. On my second day of staying, the receptionist, after reactiving my room card, tells me that i can either give them the jeans to arrange dry cleaning or do it myself and submit a receipt. This is not acceptable, why should I have to go to the trouble. I had to provide my card details when starting my stay in case I damaged anything, but the hotel damaged my property due to negligence, and they are not prepared to offer an adequate resolve.

In addition, when I arrived, the one lift was out of service, and the main stairwell was closed to everyone, but the signage is poor, and no one offered any explanation.

Demonstrate some customer service. Offer a responsible resolve. Demonstrate that you as a company are apologetic, not apathetic.

Went for afternoon tea

Went for afternoon tea, was booked and deposit paid weeks in advance and date changed due to my mum being in hospital, we simply requested no butter on sandwiches but when they brought the food and it had spread in them all hell broke loose, the staff were so rude, they would not correct their mistake and argued with us and made my ill mother cry, waitress and manager fran argued with us for over half an hour so we chose to leave. Absolutely disgusting service . Do not recommend.

There were a few things I didn't like:

There were a few things I didn't like:

1. There was no fridge in the room. I paid £292 for a night for a room with two double beds. I asked the receptionist to provide me with a fridge but they didn't do anything. Given the facilities, it is too costly. I was expecting much more with this price.

2. They did not provide sufficient water bottles in the room. When I asked for additional water bottles, they asked me to pay £2 a bottle (500 ml).

3. The toilet near the reception is quite small and there are only two urinals in a congested way.

A few things that I liked:

It is 10-15 minutes walking distance from Cardiff. Rooms, corridors, staircase etc. were clean. The breakfast was good.

Dissatisfied

I recently stayed ,with 5 friends at the Future inn, Cardiff Bay.
Everything was perfect. The rooms ,the food and the staff.
This was until I came to pay the bill.
I was charged £30 more than I was quoted when booking the venue .
I was told to email them to query this - I did so and the argued that I had paid the right amount.
As I booked over the phone I had no proof of the price I was given.
They refused to reimburse me the £30.
I am very disappointed.

Futureinn Bristol City Centre - cold room & rude member of staff!

One night stay at the Bristol City Centre hotel for business purposes. The outside temperature was 3c in the evening. The inside room temperature was preset to 20c (according to reception staff). This is the absolute legal minimum, but was too cold for me due to ailments. The thermostat in the room was bypassed and cannot be controlled by guests. Reception staff have control of individual room temperature via their computer. This is an obvious technique by the chain to save money. I telephoned reception on three occasions asking for the temperature to be increased as I was cold. Nothing changed, so I was forced to interrupt my work and visit reception. A member of staff was abrupt and unhelpful at first until I insisted he increase the temperature. I later emailed management of my experience and was offered a £50 discount if 'I booked another stay at B&B cost.' Why should I have to spend more money to receive a discount due to the above? VERY POOR INDEED!
