Very good service and product

Delivering awful really late no updates

The products themselves were fine. As expected.But the delivery couriers told me the wrong delivery date, which caused a day of waiting around unnecessarily, then when they did deliver my furniture they placed it directly on top of a vinyl record that had been delivered earlier that day, incredibly poor service and careless by the delivery company

I'm afraid my experience was not good. I bought the roll up futon for my grandson and his friends to use when they came to stay. In the end, only two people came so they used the sofas and the futon was not needed. In spite of the fact the roll up hadn't even been opened and laid on to try it out, the assistant would not allow me to return it. It's still in its original packaging in a cupboard.

Bought the 'Tokyo' futon model...massive finger trapper! I trapped my finger and sqaused my cuticle. It folds at the middle component, so if you want to reset it to a seat you have to lift the heavy pine frame from the MIDDLE of the bed and then fold the next heavy pine compononant in place. Even with two us trying to reset it, it was really heavy and we're two heathy women!! The design is not intuitive at all and there doesn't seem to be any sliders/rollers to assist you with the resetting. We managed to fold it back, but it's still not in sofa mode. Lord knows what tetris-like combination you have to do with the pine parts to correctly reset it, but I before I worked it out the thing came down on me!! Given the pricetag, it's design is pretty awful. Wish I had just gone for a basic floorbed now!

Bought two laptop tables which are barely fit for use as the space below them does not allow for a normal-sized leg to be put under them. Contacted them as soon as I realised that and - oh, "your order exceeds the returns period by 16 days". Customer obsession at its worst.

Their reply to this review "the policy is on the website" speaks volumes.

Very happy with the futon and drawer to go under it; it's definitely a 2 person job to construct the futon, but it is very well engineered. Futon comfy as sofa and bed.
Bedside tables good looking and sturdy but it is difficult to change the door to opening the other way despite what the instructions say. This has disappointed us a little

We went to the Oxford shop to test out the futon we wanted and to see the cover colours in real life and the assistant was very helpful and knowledgeable.
We were told it would be 5-10 working days to deliver it, but actually it was only 3 day which was a bonus, and the delivery company were very efficient.
The only issue we did find is that the we were told that it would take 45 minutes or less to assemble, but it was more like 2 hours in total as the instructions were diagrams only and hard to follow in a coupe of places.
But we did manage and are very pleased with the end result !

Well I made a big mistake of ordering my shoe rack to the store I struggled with it it weighs a ton and it was raining in Manchester that day I just couldn’t wait to get back difficult I know I was silly I will not make that mistake again besides that the shoe rack is superb and top notch quality for a flat pack it’s definitely worth every penny and a beautiful finish on it and the best thing is it was in the sale I got two other products from Futon and the quality is so so good superior quality to yes IKEA rubbish

Poorly engineered shoe tower fell apart when lifted upright

I ordered the Oke Hallway Shoe Tower with Mirror – Oak Veneer (product code ST HALL SHOE TOW) last week, and it was delivered on Monday. （垃圾设计不要买！）

Although the delivery itself was fine and the product looks attractive in the photographs, the assembly experience was extraordinarily frustrating. The website estimates approximately 45 minutes for assembly, but it took several hours of difficult, physically exhausting work.

The instructions are extremely poor. Most of the complicated assembly is compressed into a single small diagram, with no clear sequence for aligning and securing the numerous internal shelves between the two full-height panels. There is no adequate explanation of how to keep the structure square or how to confirm that it is sufficiently secure before raising it upright.

More seriously, several of the internal shelves are retained only by wooden dowels and pressure from the two main panels. They have no positive mechanical fixing of their own. The entire structure therefore depends on a limited number of cam-locked panels holding everything tightly together. Unlike better-designed flat-pack furniture, there is no rigid back panel, cross-bracing or sufficient additional fixing to prevent the frame from spreading and the shelves from moving out of alignment.

After spending hours assembling the unit according to the supplied instructions, I reached the unavoidable final stage of raising it from the horizontal assembly position into its upright position. As it was lifted, the two main panels separated and multiple internal shelves immediately tilted and collapsed out of alignment. The entire unit effectively fell apart, undoing hours of work and leaving me with significant back and waist pain.

The attached photograph shows the aftermath after the unit had been placed back on the floor. The exposed dowels and badly tilted shelves clearly demonstrate how the joints separated.

This is not merely a cosmetic imperfection or a case of assembly taking slightly longer than expected. A tall, heavy piece of furniture containing a full-length mirror must be capable of being safely raised upright after assembly. A product that comes apart during this normal and necessary movement presents an obvious risk of personal injury, mirror breakage and damage to the surrounding property.

I should not have to drill additional holes, add my own screws, glue the joints or otherwise redesign a new £249 product to make it structurally secure. In my opinion, both the structural design and the assembly instructions are unacceptable.

I now expect Futon Company to arrange collection of the failed unit at their expense and provide a full refund. I also strongly recommend that they review both the product design and the outdated assembly instructions before another customer experiences the same failure.

Excellent service

Great experience from the beginning when the delivery drivers brought the furniture to the room. Very easy to put together. Very sturdy furniture. Comfortable to sit on and my daughter says it's comfortable to sleep on too.
