It was pretty cool and straightforward way to make a private investment. I have had to fill out these kinds of forms before for previous companies I've worked at and its usually cumbersome. The form requirements are the same digitally but the process was pretty slick and easy. I will probably be making more small investments using the platform :)

Easy Peasy.... the portal is easy to navigate and it makes me feel good to invest in anything Canadian even if there is no ROI. Helping Canadian entrepreneurs is reward enough, but if there is a return, I will accept. Cheers, make us proud.

Amazing idea, platform and staff. The idea to democratize finance is beautiful, I'm extremely grateful for companies like FrontFundr that allow me to invest in opportunities that were previously only offered to high net-worth individuals. The platform is easy to navigate, user-friendly and very clear. I like how the company continually makes changes to the UI as well. Lastly, the staff is so friendly. They've always gone above and beyond every time I had a question. 10/10 would recommend!

Fact: I missed two investment opportunities thru FrontFundr as Gmail flagged their e-mails as Spam.
Fact: When I informed the company of this discovery, they blamed my filters, not the AI screening e-mails based upon all the reports.
Fact: When I do re-engage, I get into one of the investments, but after all the signatures and the payment, I get no receipt, I get no tracking number, I get nothing but a Visa transaction text from my bank.
It is frustrating to make a purchase (in US dollars also, so the exchange rate makes reverse calculations harder), and not understand what was spent and how. There was a bonus, but some of the numbers showed the non-discounted rate, others the discounted, etc. All I wanted to know was what I purchased, when I purchased it. Instead I got massive uncertainty.
To this day, when I use their "dashboard" I get a dead link to the prospectus. Their excuse it that the company still needs to countersign documents...
My previous review was removed for posting the content above. The reality is that if my units are not accounted for, I have an ethical duty to report the failed transaction to the authorities. Apparently, this is deemed defamatory, when it is actually an obligation so that the authorities are aware these sorts of problems exist.
Bottom line, transactions should not be undertaken if the paperwork is not complete. If this was a contract, and we were all sitting at a table, there would be no passing of a cheque if the paperwork was not done. This is not an unreasonable expectation - and as of now, my consideration in this contract is completely unmet - I was asked to trust the webpages, but they did not work.

great way to be exposed to private opportunities to invest in companies before they go public, especially if you aren't an accredited investor but still interested in investing.

I have invested in 3 opportunities myself.
There's a very diverse mix of types of investments, and some of the opportunities qualify for TFSA and RRSPs.
Supported a start-up company once. Not sure if it’s the better of comparable companies. I’d want to hear from the companies that have used FrontFundr. My score is neutral for this reason.
Excellent opportunity to invest in upstart companies, with a broad range of choices and values.
FrontFundr is a platform that lets you invest in and support startups, giving you the chance to be part of their growth journey.
