I purchased a niche perfume and was…
I purchased a niche perfume and was sent a limited edition ,instead of the regular, that I tested BEFORE realizing with the test and research that this specific edition has a DIFFERENT SCENT PROFILE and notes. I filled for an exchange but because it’s opened and because of their supposed ‘all versions and variations of presentation/packaging can be sold under the same sku’ I cannot get a refund and/or exchange. Mind that this was not the product and SCENT I purchased, it has nothing to do with only packaging and that this limited edition is commonly sold separately and known for difference in notes (added animal musk, more sharp skanky opening, etc) amongst lovers of the fragrance. I was happy to buy this frangrance that I love and know (the regular modern version) but now, I feel stupid and robbed. All of that because of their shady business practices (not to talk about the horrible low budget carrier companies they use and that cause immense stress on their customers). As a first time customer I am extremely disappointed and dissatisfied and I cannot believe all the good things that were said about this company to me. I will talk in every fragrance communities to steer clear from them at all costs. They are unprofessional. Try and not buy from them if you can, even with their good prices. They might just send you the wrong product and take no accountability for it. I could still risk paying to send as a return (because they do not provide with prepaid delivery) but as per what was told to me, it would get refused, being left without the error item AND my money (as many others seem to have experienced). This behavior from a company of that size is unacceptable.

problem with fragrance net
Here is what happened. I made an order on fragrance net. I live in canada. Here are my complaints. One issue is the shipping took a pretty long time however thats not a huge problem for me. what happened was after waiting a week on the day the package was supposed to come they didnt deliver it and said the package couldnt be delivered because I didnt list my suite/unit number even though I live in a house. So me thinking it cant be delivered canceled the order and got a refund. 2 days later the package arrives anyway and now they are asking me to pay for it even though i canceled the order. it gets worse. In total I paid $277 CAD for the order, the refund (which came 3 days later) was $259 CAD. So they wanted me to pay them but they didnt give me a full refund so thats already $20 out of my pocket because of their mistake. Then they say they only take payment in USD and that I need to use in international money transfer or convert my CAD to USD. Not only would doing either of those cost me even more money from my pocket but I am not old enough to do either of those the bank doesnt allow. Which leaves the only option for me to return the package and pay a ton to ship it back to the US which is again out of my pocket. In conclusion any method I take to somehow pay them the money comes out of my pocket for their mistake. I canceled the order it isnt my fault the order went through anyways and I shouldnt have to pay for it. only reason its not 1 star is because the perfumes were real and authentic so it wasnt a scam but still.
