What a friendly, kind, and useful idea! I love Focusmate, and though a relatively new user, I am amazed at the boost in productivity it has already brought to my life. The concept is simple: work with focussed and friendly others. Because of the commitment involved, it helps me stay on track and meet my (self-employment) work commitments. Plus it's been sweet to meet folks from all over the world.

I genuinely look forward to every Focusmate session—it’s been such a game changer for me. As an ADHD, highly creative person, I often struggle with staying on track, but this app has completely shifted that. It boosts my confidence in my ability to follow through and actually finish things.
I’m getting so much more done—emails, writing, all those tasks that used to linger—and the best part is that it frees up my mental energy for what I love most: my artwork. That alone feels incredible.
Honestly, it’s been very, very helpful, and the value for the price? Absolutely worth it. I can’t recommend it enough.

I get so much done when I use FocusMate — and so little done when I don’t! The interface is so user friendly. I love that I’ve had the chance to work with people from all over the world. (That interaction — even if it’s limited to brief, cheery greetings and goodbyes — provides the extra bonus of giving me hope in a world where politics can be so depressing.). I recommend FocusMate to everyone I meet who has trouble with procrastination, avoidance, or isolation.

Since i started with focus mate about 1,5 months ago, i finished 75 sessions. I am far more productive and focused. I can do what i plan and that is simply because of this awesome platform. I can only recommend.

it's a steal , I have made a yearly subscription and couldn't use it due to lack of time , and I asked them to just pay for the three months in a monthly rate and cancel the account , and the guy completely ignored me saying it's your problem and was really treating me bad.
it seems that their first objective is to make money and the people come second. really dissapointing :(

FYI, I also ran a business and anyone that paid me for for the entire year and
out of some reason couldn't continue, I would give back the money till the last cent, because that's how we should treat our sisters and brothers, we are all connected here on this planet.

the minimum you could do, is to reach back and try to sort things out, that would be nice.

Focusmate offers a well designed service to help people actually focus. My productivity doubled since I started using focusmate.

This app has completely changed my life. I'm incredibly grateful for it, for people like me it's a god send.

I've logged over 3300 sessions on Focusmate over the last 4yrs - it's my #1 tool to getting more stuff done (and better quality stuff!)

I've dabbled with other accountability platforms and I keep coming back to Focusmate. For me - it's the best tool out there. There's huge power in making an appointment with another human to get meaningful work done. You do get some no-shows but there are so many users on the platform now that a replacement is usually found within 1min - so the show rolls on.

And you meet some great people doing interesting things from all over the globe. Thank you Focusmate and all my digital workmates!

Amazingly helpful tool. I strongly recommend it to ADHD people and those working on tough, overwhelming projects we would otherwise postpone to the very last night.

I wish I had found out about Focusmate many years ago. It would have saved me a lot of grief. I'm a neuropsychologist and have ADHD and this is a proven technique that helps ADHDs called body doubling. It has raised my produtivity by a thousand and I've been reccomending it to all my ADHD patients ever since.

This has been way more helpful than I would have ever thought sitting next to a virtual stranger to complete work would be. Definitely recommend to anyone that struggles with distractions and staying on task during study.

I found the experience of having a session on FocusMate very straight forward. I liked the clean, well designed interface. I have now had 2 sessions on FocusMate - both highly productive and got me through a prevaricating-block. By getting me moving on my tasks I have found each time that the momentum carries on after the FocusMate booked session! Excellent idea and I am sure I will be booking another session soon !

I discovered Focusmate at the beginning of grad school and it has been invaluable! Super easy to use and very effective for body doubling to help me focus on tasks. I love that you can choose from 3 session lengths. As soon as I found out that they did not require your credit card info to use it unless you upgrade, I was sold. That is how much they trust their concept to sell itself. So thankful for this tool!

I needed to assemble my business's tax information for my accountant. It was a daunting task, which I could have easily put off until April if not for a February deadline my accountant gave me. I put this off day after day and my anxiety exponentially mounted. I then discovered Focusmate. After 6 50-minute sessions, I was done. Amazing. I now use Focusmate on a daily basis.
