I would need to be biased if I would compare the two apps in matter, so I would rather suggest to either test them yourself in the same time/features or find many reviews on Google that compare ours and few other of the similar service.

Do not recommend.
I loved this app when I first purchased it back in 2013-2014. One of my favorite things to do was laying on our trampoline and using this app and a stargazing app with my kids. It's unfortunate in my opinion that developer greed came into play with this new monthly subscription. At least let us who paid for a version of the app keep that version.

To let you keep the old pro version in the same functions, we would need to close our company as we would not be able to continually pay our developers and third party features as you only paid once. Something like Netflix, Spotify and similar platforms do as well. Technology is moving very fast and there is no place in future for those who do not follow up. However, we do offer free Basic plan for those that want just simple plane spotting, without extra features.

Scam. Paid for a version of the app without ads. Now the developers decide to close down that version and force users onto a 'new' version requiring subscription payments. Terrible way to treat the customers who helped support the company. Dishonest bait and switch tactics. Will never trust these developers again, and you should not either. There are better options available from reputable, trustworthy developers.

Thieves! I paid for the app when they started up, plus extra features. Then remove the app and open a new app with a monthly fee where you can't use your paid features and or have a refund. Disgusting and the complaints are growing. Whoever's idea it was to move the price model like this and not carry over features or refund the people that supported them from the start has single handily put a noose around flightradar24 neck. Pure greed and robbery 👍🤦♂️

First bought the lifetime Flightradar…
First bought the lifetime Flightradar 24 to help with flying my drone. Though I fly far enough from the airport to do so legally. There is a flight school nearby and it helps with last minute flying details. I think what Flightradar are doing in this case is in very bad form. They should have honored the original purchase agreements with those of use that paid for the pro version. Scumbags in my books.

Poor form they have updated the app so now have to pay again for a premium service previously paid for.
Either they should refund those who had previous paid for the service or provide those who has previous paid for the premium service that level again on the new app

Very annoyed with flightradar24. I paid for the pro version "for life" a few years ago, now they are discontinuing the app and plugging its replacement, expecting users to pay again! Not good business! You just lost a fan.
