Very good service

I sent a lens in for repair, was told it would take about 3 weeks but I had the lens back in working order about a week and a half later (and that was over the Easter holidays as well).
One very minor issue was their website is not great, I couldn't confirm that I wanted to accept the quote they gave me on their website, so I had to ring them, but that was quick and painless.
Really good service and reasonable price.

I was really impressed with the service…

I was really impressed with the service recieved from Fixation. I had two broken lenses and one was completely battered and on return it looked like a brand new lens which I wasn't expecting. They were very helpful when I called them and answered all my questions. I would definitely use in future. Thank you.

My Canon DSLR required a sensor clean

My Canon DSLR required a sensor clean. I found Fixation on google search and they had very good ratings (which I would have expected if I had initially known they worked for WEX). The process to deliver was very easy. They examined my camera and agreed that my assessment was correct and stated how much it would cost. Paid and quickly received my camera back.

This time they cleaned the lens and replaced one of the two tracks for the lens hood.
Timely and cost less than expected and I really thank them for that
Only reason not 5 star is that one of the three custom buttons now is stuck down and doesn't work but not otherwise affecting lens function

Straightforward and very efficient, recommended!

The on line repair tool confirmed that my Tamron SP45 lens was something that could be repaired. I was sent a postage label and the courier confirmed when the lens had been handed over. Two days later I received the report and cost estimate (I was given the option of not going ahead and paying for the return postage). I agreed to the repair and this was completed in about 4 days.
Because I wasn’t going to be at home, the admin team offered to send the lens to a relative’s address and that’s what we did.

Fantastic service

Fantastic service. Took my Canon camera for cleaning after manufacturer said it was too old, and a US model, so they couldn't do it. Fixation did the job very quickly, and advised of a minor part which could do with being replaced. They were able to do this immediately, and for less than £60 my camera is now like new. I think the train journey took longer than the repair! Thoroughly recommend this company

Great repairs, unknowledgeable admin desk

Great speedy repair from the team as always, but I was disappointed to discover that the Vauxhall showroom is now merely a desk to book in/out repairs. The person manning the desk, whilst competent at the admin and polite, appears to have minimal knowledge of photographic equipment. I'd have had the same level of knowledge if I'd dropped my equipment at my local post office instead. Perhaps the admin staff can have some training to make it worth the visit?

Friendly staff, but Fixation's processes needs addressing

Very friendly staff who, when you eventually get to talk to them, are incredibly helpful and polite.
However, the cost of labour is very high.

Also, don't be fooled by Fixations estimate times for repair. Even when you call their Helpline, they will tell you that your repair is imminent, then not stick to their word. Be prepared to treble the time for your returned item.

Ok a little sad they now charge for firmware updates (last time it was free) but it’s a business and they need to make a profit or they will close, I does say on the website that they charge so can’t really complain
Proof is I will be back when my Z9 need attention
