Well what disappointing afternoon

Well what disappointing afternoon. We paid £45 each for a premier plus ticket. When we arrived, despite the venue being quiet, there was no table set up for our group. We were literally picking up chairs and putting them round a table ourselves. There was a happy hour on arrival yet when we visited the bar we were told it was finished already. As soon as the racing was finished we were ushered out as quickly as they could get us to the exit. You have to ask yourself - for £45 would you expect more than this? You would be better off, just paying an entrance fee and getting some food from one of the plentiful vans around the collection area. Good job the company I had that day made up for the shortfalls of the ‘racecourse’ experience

Ffoslas racecourse

Ffoslas racecourse is a good horse racing track with a drunk people problem it is all good except for drunk people falling over each other and falling over you and throwing alcohol everywhere but it is wheelchair accessible which is good and the atmosphere is brilliant. It's a good day out except for the drunks

Beware the Ffoslas drinks rip-off!

15th "Birthday Party" meeting at Ffoslas. A lovely sunny day and mostly exciting racing (some very small fields), BUT; the bar was VERY understaffed, never more than 4 serving, leading to waits of 15 to 20 minutes to be served. They charged 50p deposit on a plastic glass. When we took the 9 glasses back that our party had used, the deposit return was refused, the explanation being that if we had gone back for another drink there would have been a 50p discount instead. There were no notices explaining this arrangement and the staff did not mention it, so we paid a premium for drinks where we were given a clean glass for a different drink, or someone was bought a pint before they had finished the previous one. Next time we'll take our own glasses and drinks!
Rip off!
