I absolutely love love the scent !!!
I did think the packaging was a tad over the top when the bottle is small in comparison …. But it is fun and informative as well …. And I adore the fragrance! I have been a lover of aromatherapy as well as perfumes … and this particular fragrance is unique and I loved it right away!
It is a little pricey but if fragrance is your thing … and you appreciate natural and different from your everyday department store ….. I’d say give this a try ! I think you will be very pleased ! My fragrance is Spring 26

The ethos of the company is excellent, and the perfumes are beautiful, light and nuanced . Although pricey so worth the money as you can send them back if they do not suit you , so can be reasonable.

This is my first year with Ffern and I love the anticipation and imagining of the scent through Ffern's audio, cinematic and textual introduction of each season's scent prior to its release. While I liked the experience of winter 26 (the tea, the illustration, the mood of the film), I totally fell in love with the spring 26 perfume. I've been leaving scent sticks in between my journals and books and drawers to absorb it. Totally recommend Fern

I love that it's an experience in and of itself to open the box when it arrives (it feels like christmas!). While Fern offers a truly unique fragrance experience, some areas need improvement, especially if the brand wants to build trust long-term.
The biggest issue is transparency within the subscription model.
After going back, I did find an email sent on February 26 titled “The maceration of your Spring 26 fragrance is now complete.” This email included important details, such as the upcoming charge date and a reminder to update my shipping address. The issue is that this information is at the very bottom, underneath all of the fragrance storytelling.
While that may count as transparency for Ffern, it’s not clear enough. Billing information should be front and center, not something clients have to search for. Due to Ffern’s hard-to-find billing details, I was unable to update my shipping address in time. The fragrance got delivered to my previous address. 100% preventable with clearer communication
A better approach would be a simple flow of communication:
First email: Story Telling
Second Email: Follow-up email 48 hours after the first email with Clear billing information, and more storytelling
Third Email: Final reminder 48 hours before payment processing, with clear information about the amount and processing dates, when the bottle will be sent out, and a little more storytelling.
Transparency isn’t about overdoing it; it’s about building trust with your prospective buyers. A $100+ charge in this economy can be a hard hit.
The newer “win a bottle” model is UNCLEAR AND MISLEADING (Read your reviews and change it ASAP. ) Before, there was a waitlist where you could opt in for a spot to buy a bottle. Made it more exclusive, and that process made sense. The current setup makes it hard for me to recommend Fern to others. I can’t confidently say they’ll fully understand what they’re signing up for.
On top of that, for a brand positioned as luxury, the follow-up feels a little light. I didn’t receive anything right away; asking me how I felt about the fragrance. Even something simple—like a quick check-in or a more guided experience—would make a difference. Waiting a month to follow up feels like a missed opportunity to build a connection with your buyer.
That said, the product itself is exceptional.
The fragrance experience is unlike anything I’ve had before. From how it’s introduced to how it evolves, everything feels intentional. The unboxing is well thought out—you get a sample to test, a stone to experience how the scent changes over time, notes about the perfumer, and seasonal touches that tie everything together. It feels worth the price. What I like most is the layering. The fragrances are complex enough that you can create something that feels like your own. It doesn’t feel mass-produced; it feels personal. I also appreciate that if you don’t like the fragrance, you can return it. That flexibility matters.

i love that the unboxing of each perfume is a full, hand crafted experience with the art, terracotta stones, the short film, the small gifts included. my first purchase was summer 25. my perfume bottle arrived with a broken atomizer. i emailed the ffern support team and was able to get a replacement extremely quickly. it is clear that ffern cares deeply about the quality of their product and their customer service is amazing.

The one star reviewer is an idiot. I knew fully what was being provided, and the cost when I signed up. I don't think Ffern was elusive or shady at all about that. Approximately $50/mo($46.01) for a curated seasonal scent and narrative package of artistic intent, and that's only of you keep all 4 bottles.
I only give 4 stars because my first package came with mycelium insulation and the other 3 were cardboard. The effort to use sustainable mycelium packaging really sold me on keeping my subscription, so when the following deliveries were packaged with ineffective flimsy cardstock, I was kinda disappointed. I do think the platform Ffern provides is an avenue for artists and creatives to be celebrated while consumers benefit in our global capitalist society.

Okay, listen.. I get some of the gripes others are having. I for one, haven't had a bad experience with Ffern yet. I have no intention of canceling my subscription, but I'm hoping if it ever comes to that they've ironed out any kinks that I've read about. The "drawing" they do, whether it's to zhuzh up the customer experience or not, I don't think is misleading. I have multiple emails and texts that specifically state the terms of the drawing, the shipment, and when payment is expected. My attention was caught by the Winter 26 ad (underwater, BEAUTIFUL), I put my name in the drawing and googled how much a bottle would run me. I feel like people see a desirable, and QUALITY product and don't do any research on it at all before adding to their carts or signing up. Yes, it's pricey for some, BUT you get what you pay for 10000%! The art, the attention to detail, the scents themselves... ALL WORTH IT (at the very least, worth it to me). Winter 26 has been my favorite so far, and I can't wait for Summer. Keep it up Ffern!

I really do appreciate the hard work that goes into creating these seasonal fragrances. The shipment is like a care package with little goodies included and then you can either recycle or compost the packaging - caring for the environment goes a long way in my book when it comes to supporting a company.
The setup is automatic payments and shipments, you can pick which seasonal scents you want, customer service is friendly, quick to respond, and helpful.
The only reason I did not give a 5th star is because the two fragrances I’ve received (I’m a new customer) are heavy and quite manly in their smell. I would like to see a “lighter, airy, feminine” fragrance in the future.

If you're into fragrance, this is great. I like that you can experiment without buying the whole thing. The fragrances are elevated, interesting, and thoughtful. The packaging is very curated and thought out, although I don't "need" a lot of the extras that come in it (2 different cards, qr code tickets, flower seeds).

I got in touch after dropping my bottle of the new season perfume on my tiled floor where it smashed, I honestly didn't think k they'd be able to help as I know they only have a limited stock of each season. But the team were so helpful & I've been able to buy a replacement from the archive stock which is already on its way. The customer service offered is what all companies should strive for
