Connect this 2.3m starter cable with timer controller to your ConnectPro® lights and unlock their true potential. Choose between the 6- or 8-hour timer options, depending on what best suits you and allow this convenient starter cable to do the work. Easy to use, simply press the button on the left of the timer box to switch your lights on or off. To activate the timer function, press the button on the right once to activate the 6-hour timer (the light will display green), then press it again to activate the 8-hour timer (the light will display red). Press this button again to switch the timer off completely. The timer operates on a 24-hour cycle; if you select the 6-hour timer, your lights will stay on for 6 hours, turn off for 18 hours, then automatically turn back on at the same time each day. With the 8-hour timer, your lights will stay in for 8 hours, turn off for 16 hours, then automatically turn back on at the same time each day. Compatible with all the lights in the ConnectPro® range, from festoons and strings to silhouettes and icicles, this timer controller is rated IP65, meaning it’s suitable for prolonged outdoor use. Please note: There are two sections of cable, each 15cm in length, one leading to the starter cable and one leading to the lights. The timer controller will only power up to a maximum wattage of 250W. See below for the maximum number of 5m sets for each of the range. Ensure not to exceed this maximum number - Cluster lights: 14 sets. Fairy lights: 70 sets. Festoon lights: 70 sets. Icicle lights: 35 sets.

Thought it was fine until it melted ! Set everything up today and turned them on, within three hours this unit started to melt. It has damaged our flooring and burnt my hand but at least we caught it before it set the house on fire! (If we had carpet in the hall we’d have a burning house now)

The maximum load capacity, that can be powered by the starter cable with timer function, has recently been adjusted, and you should have received a letter/email to explain this. One did not work correctly in that the switch light sequence did not illuminate perform as advertised. Poor quality control for an expensive product.

Very well designed timer system; so simple (just one button; press once to turn on, press twice to stay on for 6 hours, three times for 8 hours on, or a fourth time to turn off), and it works exactly as it's supposed to, to the second!

It all arrived quickly and undamaged but i have not assembled it yet as it is to go in the garden shed which has not arrived yet. I am sure it will work very well as it is a solid product.
