I ordered three hydrangea trees from Fast Growing Trees. My city has multiple micro climates which makes it challenging to pinpoint a certain type of tree that will thrive in my neighborhood. The other challenge I was up against was me being the typical guy thinking you put the tree in dirt, give it some water and boom, you got a nice looking tree. That didn’t happen. All three trees didn’t survive. I reached out to them and they honored their commitment to replace them. With the help of Chat GPT the replacements thrived except one. I was more educated on how to care for them, so it was my fault but the trees struggled. I reached out to the company about the one replacement that didn’t make it and they offered a replacement with a substantial discount. They didn’t have to do that. I do appreciate that level of commitment to their customers and I will continue to be a customer because of their customer service. I would have given the 5th star if there was more detailed information on how to care for them after planting and maybe some recommendations on specific products that would help the trees thrive better. I only suggest that because this was my first time buying trees at my new home and could have used the help. Other than that, the company does honor their commitment to their customers.

I ordered twice. The first time they marked the order delivered but it never showed up. When I contacted them they said the order had actually been damaged in transit and would not be showing up. They offered me a credit which I agreed to. I ordered with the credit and again, the order never showed up. One small part of my $150 order arrived, but was delivered to a neighbor. I called to just get a full refund and they never processed it. Ended up having to dispute it with my credit card.

I was concerned one of my plants was dying and they told me exactly what to do to get it back to health.

Immediate attention was paid to my question of care, it is the third tree I bought from there, and this one I have needed advice on pruning. They answered immediately and continue to check in. I definitely feel they care.

Poorly packaged, damaged broken trees/plants, incomplete order, customer service promises unfulfilled.

We purchased the 3-4 foot Meyer lemon tree for $120. It was a Father’s Day gift. My dad has lots of healthy fruit trees, so he clearly knows how to care for them. We are so sad that 1 year later, this gift is nothing more than a stick with 3 leaves. We thought it was supposed to fruit during the first year, but it barely looks alive.

I will never order from this company again. Never. I will tell everyone I know not to order from you. What a scam... 60 day alive and thrive policy on plants ordered in August.... And yet one of them wasn't delivered until October! A strawberry plant at that. What a joke. I hope you go out of business with a business model like that. Never again.

My delivery of Fruit tree arrived damaged. They did replace it but the Tree was smaller. Then I ordered blueberry bushes. I purchased 3-4 feet height. 1 was just 3 feet the other 2.5 & did not look healthy. I am waiting for replacement on the bushes. Will let you know how that goes. Holding back on future ordering to see how these trees & bushes work out. Stay tuned....

The trees arrived dead with fungus covering all (6) of them. FGT customer service refused compensation because they deemed my location too hot for the species I bought. Again, they arrived dead. I called immediately. Wasted money.

Maybe their products are decent, but I would not know-- they used Ontrac for delivery services and so, as customary for ontrac, my delivery was sent to the wrong address. I caught the issue immediately but no one will pick up the phone and reach out to the driver, who is most likely still near the wrong delivery address. Now I have to wait all over for the shipment when I have already waited longer than originally promised. I gave ontrac a poor review as well, but really, these companies that keep using low-cost shippers have to bear this responsibility and have GOT to start making better decisions about who they use to ship-- or at least disclose to the customer who they will be using so we can keep scrolling to the next guy in all fairness and transparency. It does not save any money in the end when you lose potential repeat customers and you have to send a whole new batch out after gifting the 1st batch to some random. Very poor business sense.
Update: Per FGT request, I called to verify what exactly I DID receive from FEDEX versus what part of my order I did NOT receive from Ontrac. Had to explain everything all over again only for rep. to tell me that it was actually delivered and there is a picture showing it. I explained, AGAIN, that they delivered it to the wrong address, that I do not even have a garage and I have no idea what that was a picture of. She put in my request for replacement along with my request for it to be expedited, with no guarantees about the outcome of course. I immediately got an email stating they will review my request and get back to me within 72 hours. Nice.
Update: I received the following email from FGT:
"We saw your review and we're sorry for what happened. The wrong address delivery and the frustration of having to re-explain it multiple times was not the experience you should have had.
Your reshipment has been processed. You'll get tracking information by email once it ships.
Your point about carrier selection is valid. We take that feedback seriously as we continue to evaluate our shipping options."
Within 24 hours of that email, I got email confirmation that they resent the shipment that was delivered to the wrong address, and who did they ship with? You guessed it-- Ontrac!
You can decide if you want to do business with a place like this.
As for the 15 plants I DID receive (out of 25 paid for), 13 looked good and healthy, one was broken but I will see if it can bounce back, and one was horizontal in growth.

We ordered a tree and 2 blueberry bushes. They arrived in a timely manner. When delivered, they were left on the driveway in almost hundred degree temps; It was hours before we discovered them. The blueberries were fine but the tree had died from the excess heat and sun. Fast Growing Trees handled the issue pleasantly and efficiently, replacing the tree, even though it wasn’t their fault it had died. We will not hesitate to order from them again. Their customer service exemplifies how all companies should operate.

I ordered a very expensive tree. When it came it had a few leaves on it about a fifth of the size that they should be. The tree was pruned hard at the top to fit the shipping boxWhen I took the treeout of the pot it had no root ball and the roots were pruned hard. The tree was dead. I did get a replacement tree. When I opened the box it looked much better than the last one. The leaves were bigger at least. It was in a pot and buried 3 inches too deep. When pulling it out of the pot low and behold, again there was no root ball. It was just put in a pot full of soil making it a bare root plant. What roots it did have were girdling and adventitious meaning the tree had been planted too deep for too long and it was struggling to survive. Since the tree was technically alive I knew I wasn't going to get a replacement so I planted it like a bare root and did what I could with the girdling roots so that they would not strangle the tree should it live. I planted it as it should have been all along and I had to use three stakes because it could not hold itself up otherwise. Girdling roots are caused by a plant being grown in a pot and not sized up so that the roots hit the pot and start going in a circle which eventually chokes the tree. Their website boasts how much care they take before you ever get your tree which they claim makes it superior and destined for success. Both of my experiences tell me they are living in opposite world.

VERY disappointed in the quality of the peach tree I got. It's half dead already and much smaller than the 7 foot tree I ordered. Do yourself a favor and go to a nursery near you. The extra expense and supporting a small business is way better and much better quality. This was my first time ordering and will absolutely be my LAST!! And big surprise. They won't replace it

The tree and bush were broken and some leaves were dried up, brown. Fed ex does not take care of boxes. The box was ripped and taped. The company replaced the pair but honestly, they were in bad shape as well. We hope they survive as we did plant them.

Have bought trees from them for years and been fully satisfied. I did have the guarantee and occassionally if a tree didn't make it after the planting got new tree with no hassle. So excellent product with a guarantee they stand by. Thank you.

I ordered a Chicago Hardy Fig tree and what arrived was completely unacceptable.
The plant had multiple dead branches, weak spindly growth, yellowing and curling leaves, and showed clear signs of poor growing conditions before it ever left their facility. This was not the healthy, viable tree advertised on their website.
I contacted customer service five times. Their response every single time was to send me generic care tips and reassure me the plant was "technically alive" based on a scratch test. That is not an acceptable response to a damaged product.
I have demanded a full refund repeatedly and received absolutely no resolution.
I have since:
- Posted photos on Google Reviews
- Filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau
- Posted on Instagram and Facebook documenting the condition
I have five photographs documenting exactly what arrived at my door.
If you are considering ordering plants from this company — look at the photos before you spend your money. What they show on their website is not what shows up at your door.
I am still waiting for my refund.

Not only did my 80 something trees arrive SUPER QUICKLY but I was in constant contact with their customer service about a delivery address mix-up (my fault). The customer service was incredibly helpful and totally engaged in helping me. One tree has VERY slight damage (probably from being handled by delivery company) but nothing that would warrant a return or concern. ALL trees and roses arrived very healthy and ready to be planted. I would highly recommend FAST GROWING TREES!

Five stars.
They went above and beyond to make sure that I got my trees in the proper location and on time. From start to finish, it was a great experience, 10 out of 10 do recommend!!!
