British Academy of Fashion Design Reviews 

I am a student at the British Academy of Fashion and I am currently doing the post grad classroom based course. So far I am enjoying the course and learning new things. Whenever I have any issues or need guidance with something I contact Andrea she is very supportive and kind. I had a slight personal issue that affected my studies which she guided me thorough solutions and resolved the issue for me very quickly. With the British academy of fashion you don’t feel alone and you are supported a lot which is something very important as a student

I enrolled in the diploma course. I like the interface of the course on the website. There is a lot coure material provided from the external online library which we have free access to. I attended classes which I would suggested if you are a complete beginner in fashion design. You will only get out what you put in this course. You really need to put in the effort on your part to complete your chosen course and support is available from fellow students and tutors.

Even though the assignments were tough and the online material wasn't sufficient, the tutor was a real lifesaver. She was super helpful and supportive throughout the entire journey. Her guidance and feedback really helped me improve and make progress. Honestly, I learned so much from this Higher national diploma.

Teachers and tutors are supportive and give constructive feedback. The modules give you a challenge and good grounding in fashion principles. The school offers flexible options for study if you are working full time.

Bit challenging, but all the BTEC course is amazing and having the Tutor is a plus! She's really helpful, always replying at the emails within maximum an our, and so kind!

Such a good school, I have learnt so much and have a new found confidence in myself for my passion for fashion. The teachers are amazing, so helpful, kind and patient. Especially Sophie Jones, Sinead Garcia and Patricia Gomes. <3

The institute is fast to assist and quick to respond to either class assessments or personal questions, I love the lecture break down the assignments into simple and clear way for everyone to understand at one glance, and also there markings with explanation is will detailed to correction, i love the academy.

I had a great experience studying with the British Academy of Fashion Design.
The assignments were well structured and definitely gave room for research and learning.
The tutors were responsive and helpful.
As a home based student, there is also an online forum on the Online Learning Centre where you can connect with the tutors and other students.
I would recommend this course to anyone interested in fashion.

The course has lots of information and tools to help with learning and the tutors are super helpful and quick with replies. All assignments are interesting and creative, would definitely recommend!

I did the online version of the certification and if you are self-motivated it is a great way to achieve a qualification, as you can study and deliver assignments at your own pace. During the course you have access to the Bloomsbury library which is a useful tool and saves on having to purchase materials for the course. If you get into any difficultly the support from your assigned tutor and the student services is fast but remember they may not be able to answer your question if related to content directly but rather guide you around to a self-learned solution. The only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars is that the course is lacking more practical elements, there is a lot of theory and research, the latter a skill that is highly transferable if you have not done it before. If you are looking for a course that will also help with pattern drafting and construction of your designs, there is only one unit from the four required to complete the course. Having said that I did enjoy doing the course and it is a lovely completement to my sewing and knitting I now look at patterns in a new light.

The classes are really good but inbetween classes there is only work hours support so if you have. A job you can't do the video tutorials ever. I feel I get no support (even though staff are quick to reply there are never any solutions). I paid upfront for twoyears and regret it. If I paid by direct debit I could have just cancelled anytime. The course assignments do t tell you half the information so when you get to the next assignment what you designed doesn't work as they've made major presumptions about your design with out telling you it has to meet certain criteria. I hate this course so much and wish I never started, complete waste of money

I really enjoy studying at the British Academy of fashion design. The tutors are very helpful and responding any question you have quickly.

I found this course quite fun to do and felt that if I needed help with anything I was always about to contact someone via email. They usually responded within the same day or the next day at the latest which really helped a lot. This course overall is a great course for learning the basics there are to fashion design and anyone interested in the industry and who’d like to pursue it as a career should definitely look into enrolling in this academy.

The course materials are clear and interesting and a great starting point for research. I was a little nervous before I started the course about whether an online course would give me enough support and guidance, but I shouldn't have worried - it's really clear to see what is required and how to complete assignments.

I really appreciate the detailed feedback from my tutor on assignments, which makes it easy to see what has worked well and where I can improve.

I really recommend this course, the content is excellent, enjoyable and creative. Have also had great help and feedback from tutors

This certificate provided me with an access to University, in my dream field: Costume design for Film and Television, for which I’m extremely grateful. The assignments are challenging and the units really encompass all aspects of fashion design, giving an holistic view of the profession. The guidelines are creative and make learning fun. Also, being online, the schedule is flexible, so you can work at your own pace. If you have a thirst for learning by doing, this is the course for you!
