We were lucky enough to have the brilliant Alison Whiteside progressing our sale - when things looked like they were stalling and my solicitor wasn't having much success, Alison was able to contact our buyer, and get them to chase their solicitor and keep the pressure on from all sides to complete asap. Thank you !!
We’ve been fully supported throughout the process of selling our apartment, both from the sales team in the Lancaster office (latterly Nicole L. and earlier on, Angel) and then by Alison W. without whom sales progression would have been frustrating. They do what it says on the tin, but they do it with such lovely customer care. Cannot fault and happy to recommend. Given our distance from Lancaster during the sales process, it was nice to know that they ‘had our backs’ and that we could leave things in their capable hands. Fully informed at all stages of the process.
Alison whiteside has been incredibly helpful and professional from start to finish, with great communication and advice when needed
My family and I have rented a property from Farrell Heyworth for over 3 years and the level of service throughout has been awful. The condition of the property being rented is poor and has had numerous faults throughout the rental period with Farrell Heyworth delaying every single repair and requiring chasing continually. We have now served notice as per our rental agreement to be told that the policy has changed, then providing a leaflet advising that we must provide 2 and 1/2 months notice having failed to clearly communicate this prior. Should you rent from Farrell Heyworth you will continually hear that they cannot do anything without the landlords permission, even essential repair works like faulty external door and electrical faults. I would strongly endorse renting from any other agent and save yourself a great deal of frustration after which then being held to a financial penalty due to their lack of clearly communicating to THEIR CUSTOMERS. Absolutely woeful.
We went through so many obstacles but without the over and above commitment to looking after us, her client, we don't know how we would have got through the process of purchasing our forever home.
Alison Whiteside was very professional and kept us informed at all times. Highly recommended. Many thanks Kim and George

Alison Whiteside in the sales progression went above and beyond with her help and time. No job was to big! Such a lovely person!

Told by Farrell Heyworth that the couple who had put in an offer to buy our daughters’ house had sold theirs, and had nothing to sell. This was confirmed in the memorandum of sale.
However we found out some 6 weeks later purely by accident that the prospective purchasers were themselves in a chain awaiting their own buyer to proceed. This was a deliberate misrepresentation of the facts.
Subsequent communication with Farrell Heyworth demonstrated clearly that the staff employed by Farrell Heyworth are clearly confused as to the difference in status between “sold subject to contract” and sold!
Here we are still awaiting completion 4 months later ! Shocking

Alison Whiteside was fantastic throughout the sales progression portion of the sale, very personable and friendly! Staff in the branch were all great too. Whilst you could probably find cheaper conveyancers, the ones recommended through them have been great, plus it keeps the process somewhat streamlined.

This about the difference that one staff member made. All the difference. That was Alison Whiteside who supported our sale throught the Garstang Office.
Alison Whiteside was exactly the right person at the right time – with a property sale which had become an incredible stress on me – selling my 95 year old mother’s leasehold retirement living (over 55's) apartment who having advanced Alzheimer’s and Vascular Dementia was no longer able to live in it and for whom I was her 24/7 carer. Mum was close to end of life and I feared she could pass at any time so with the property sale becoming ‘stuck in the mud’, over months, with associated running costs accruing, maintenance of an empty property, and etc. I was deeply stressed that the sale could be furher exacerbaed by become a probate one when all it needed, it seemed to me, was someone to light the blue touch paper – which nobody seemed willing to do, rather I was being drivenin ever decreasing circles, with 3 or changes of staff handing the sale at the solicitors end and dreadful / non-existent handover briefs, a leasehold company that seemed keen to drag their heels and complicate things at every step, a lack of communication, and a total lack of any sense of urgency anywhere. I was - not to put too fine a point on it – in a state of despair.
Enter Alison, parachuted in to ‘progress the sale’ – she was, quite frankly, manner from heaven. She took the time to listen to and understand my story, quickly grasped the issues, and with an energy and will that defied belief set to it. Alison seemed, to me, to dedicate herself completely to our sale, leaving no stone unturned, aways available, always with empathy, and yet I knew we must be just one of the balls she was juggling (but never once did I feel anything but that Alison was ‘ours’ alone). From start to finish Alison acted with professionalism, diligence, and provided such a reassuring presence; making us feel ‘cared for’. Alison has a natural way with people in a way that can't be learned / taught – it is quite simply a gift. Alison was a true ambassador for Farrell Heyworth, they are lucky to have her, and (my mother has now passed) I will always be grateful to her for getting that sale over the line, and for being there at every step of the way. I honestly could not have done it without her.
I am just sorry that it has taken me so long to acknowledge Alison's efforts on our behalf, but I hope it is a case of better late than never.

Farrell Heyworth speedily found a buyer for our property, following a disappointing experience with another estate agent. All the staff in the Barrow office were friendly, approachable and helpful.
Following accepting an offer the experience was made very stressful due to the buyers solicitor, who didn't appear to want to engage with anyone, everything was on her terms. At this time Alison Whiteside from the sales progression team was splendid. Nothing was too much trouble, always a cheery voice, and she did her utmost to keep things moving, and we felt fully supported by her. So a big thank you to Alison for everything she has done.

Their original valuation was too high, I was assured this was the correct price (January 2025) this caused the property to sit without interest, I reduced the price twice, I accepted an offer 10th November 2025. the property is unencumbered the buyer has a mortgage agreed NOW 6 months later ....??? nothing. both buyer and myself very frustrated. Current delay, the conveyancer, (Farrell Hayworth recommended for both my purchaser and myself) has gone on her holidays!!!!. My EICR has now expired. Shockingly awful

Insisted i must sell my home before viewing a property. I live where homes sell in 2-3 weeks. I have to know there is somewhere to buy before selling. Idiocy and incompetence at its highest.
Would nit like to be selling with them. How many potential buyers you are missing?!
I will add. I expected the excuse given. However. When looking for a decent bungalow, which are like hens teeth, you need to find one before Marketing. You cannot risk selling and hope one will drop out of thin air when you do.
Houses yes, ten a penny. I saw one that on paper looks good. Tempting. But I can’t view it to see. Crackers.
And Garstang branch do not follow this rule. I have viewed two potentials there. They operate on a more professional basis. Not sure if this is a franchise. I have also viewed with Holdens and others. So I suggest thinking carefully before using Fulwood Farrell Heyworths
