Very good end project but very poor communication both before and during the project.
The actual installation was good and the finished was result is very good. However the communication from both the salesperson at the start and the person who was responsible for the communication during the installation was poor. We were sold the project as a one week project and it took 4 weeks in the end. It would possibly taken longer if we hadn't kept ringing up and asking what was happening next.

We are, however, sorry to learn that you were disappointed with the communication before and during the project. This is certainly not the standard we strive to deliver, and your comments have been taken on board as we continually work to improve our customer experience.
To clarify the project timeline, our salesperson advised that the roof swap itself would take approximately one week. While this element was completed as outlined, additional stages were required to ensure the work met all necessary standards. These included plastering and a mandatory inspection by Building Control. Such inspections can only be arranged once the roof structure is in place, and final approval is required to certify compliance with current regulations. As you can appreciate, Building Control officers manage a large number of projects, so inspections are not always available immediately. For this reason, completing the work in full compliance and obtaining sign-off would always take longer than one week.
Regarding communication, we acknowledge your concerns and sincerely apologise for any frustration caused. That said, there were also periods where progress was delayed, including a gap of over four weeks while we awaited responses to emails concerning handle options and other queries, as you were unavailable at the time of survey. Nonetheless, we recognise that clear and proactive communication is our responsibility, and we will use your feedback to further improve our processes.

Brilliant company
I would not hesitate to recommend this company. Right through from first contact to completion they were efficient, responsive and fairly priced. We had most windows and front entrance replaced and the workmen were really hard working and tidy. They even did some remedial brickwork which wasn't originally quoted for. An overall excellent experience.

If I could give zero I would. We made an appointment for a new window unit and guttering on our conservatory (not fitted by you). The engineer measured up and went back. The next day we were called and told it would not be done, none of it.
We have had all the house windows renewed by Fairview. Very disappointed.

I’m really sorry to read this, and I completely understand why you feel disappointed.
Following our visit, the reason we advised against carrying out the work is because of the condition of the existing conservatory windows. The gaskets have perished over time, and the glazing beads have become brittle. Unfortunately, this means there is a high risk of damage when trying to remove or replace units, and due to the age of the system, sourcing matching beads is extremely difficult.
In terms of the guttering, while it could be replaced, we felt it was important to be honest with you — the cost could be in the region of £2,000 for what would only be a short-term fix on an ageing structure.
We could have gone ahead and replaced the glass unit; however, we wouldn’t be able to guarantee that the existing beads wouldn’t break during the process. There is also a strong possibility that other units and gaskets may begin to fail in the near future. Because of this, we genuinely believe your money would be far better invested towards new frames rather than spending on repairs that may not last.
At Fairview, we pride ourselves on giving honest advice, even when that means recommending not to proceed with work. We would never want a customer to spend money on something we don’t feel is the right long-term solution.
We truly value the fact you’ve trusted us with your home previously, and we’re always here to help if you’d like to explore more suitable options moving forward.

Exceptional from start to finish...…
I can't thank Fairview Windows enough for the exceptional service they provided from start to finish.
I wanted to replace my old back sliding doors with beautiful French doors and upgrade my front door to a stylish new composite one. Steve visited to provide a quote and discuss exactly what I had in mind. I explained my vision, and he listened carefully, put everything together clearly, and offered helpful options. He gave me a straightforward price with absolutely no hard sell — I felt completely at ease and under no pressure to decide on the spot. He was happy to let me think it over, but I was so impressed with the quote and his approach that I committed right then and there.
The surveyor came out shortly afterwards to take precise measurements, and within a couple of weeks I received a call to arrange the fitting date. The two installers arrived exactly on time, worked efficiently, and didn't stop until both doors were perfectly installed. They cleaned the doors thoroughly and tidied up the surrounding area, leaving everything spotless. The entire process caused zero disruption to my home.
I am absolutely thrilled with the finished result! The French doors look so much better than the old sliding ones — I know I made the right choice. The new front door is stunning and has completely transformed both the outside and inside of my house. It feels far more welcoming, much more secure, and has brought so much extra light into my previously dark hallway — an unexpected bonus!
I'm so glad I popped into the Fairview showroom on a whim a few weeks ago. Both doors look incredible. If I ever need my windows replaced in the future, Fairview will be my first (and only) choice. I would 100% recommend them to friends and family without hesitation.
