I too had an awful experience here. Knew that I had to have two months not one, cancelled just after I joined..by talking on reception. confirmed okay, went away and enjoyed myself. Nine months later I just realised the direct debits coming out of my bank are still happening… And conveniently they were called exeter council, which misled me into thinking it was my council tax payment. Dodgey as hell
The worst website and worst system I’ve ever had the misfortune of using. It’s bizarre how difficult the system is to use. But more importantly, they ask you to cancel your membership with a MONTHS NOTICE. So if you want to buy a membership just for one month, like many people do, you actually have to cancel it as SOON as you buy it, (or, paradoxically, before, since they take 3-5 days to respond to the email). Everyone I know who is with exeter leisure have come out furious at the treatment of members. The system is DESIGNED to scam customers.
