I wanted to get a quote estimate as I already have the window sizes from the drawings. They only provide a quote if you book a site visit or team meeting, which I didn't want to do. I can't comment on... See more

We are glad we took the plunge with…
We are glad we took the plunge with Everest having wobbled over some of the poor reviews. In my experience we found no fault with the sales (slightly pushy), survey, installation (thanks to Captain and Rowan) and office contact with Leigh. We even had a follow up visit. The product itself looks great. The whole organisation worked very well indeed.

Didn't turn up
Rang to arrange a visit/quote and they took all my details, phone/email.
Went along to the property, waited for 20 minutes. Nothing.
Called and said nobody turned up. "Oh, sorry about that, let me arrange another time"
No thanks.
Why is customer service so bad everywhere now?

No chance
Booked an evening appointment with a very pleasant guy working for Everest. The appointment was really long with lots of sitting down and talking about how good Everest are and how much they have to pay for all the accreditations to be the best.
Got a quote for almost 18k for a medium-small house with 4 medium sized windows and 6 small ones.
Upon saying how crazy that is I was told that they'd have a look and see what special rates could be applied.
So basically, we'll see if you'll accept the crazy price and if you don't we will significantly drop to try and get your business.
I've asked for a breakdown of the costs to see where £18k came from and I've now been ghosted with no reply.
Adding comment 30/10 - I was also told during the sales pitch not to use smaller firms as they may not be around in a few years time. Despite the fact that Everest itself went out of business in 2020, and as far as I can see, they weren't able to honour warranties from before this time, as the current Everest is a new company.
Today, had a local company who were really knowledgeable quote for me. They knew what windows would work well in each location, the challenges of installing certain windows and specifically why. They also laughed at Everest, quoting me for triple-glazed at that price.

Appalling service from start to … and I…
Appalling service from start to … and I am still trying to sort it out.
Salesmen came - promised everything I wanted. Scaffolding installed on the day - great. Window fitters came the next day, refused to fit the window because the outside ledge needed painting - I was told by the salesman that included - no, says the fitter, you shouldn’t believe everything the salesman said. I then had to pay for someone to paint the outside ledge. Same fitter came back two weeks later, fitted the window, but claimed he could not do the plastering on the inside because “the plaster on the whole wall will come down”. A complaint call and email was sent. Finally the senior fitter came to look at the window. He thought it would be just a touch up, but no, too much work for him, could not possibly do this today. He removed the side panels to find more places that need plastering. When can he come back? Not sure. Will he plaster and paint? Oh no they do not do painting, nor do they remove radiators to make good the mess they have made. All of this work is internal, and yet the scaffolding is still up.
There has been no offer of a reduction in price.
The service is so bad. Please never use this company.

Not impressed by questionable sales claims
Everest have a sales model that is reminiscent of watching spoof time share presentations on telly. A combination of some probably broadly true claims about quality with psych 101 tactics based on repetition, trying to make you take ownership of their pitch, whatever. It takes far longer than it needs to for what you want. The bit where I really took exception though was a taking point about how you can't trust the warranty from smaller suppliers who may not be around in ten years. I note that Everest went into administration in 2024 and are not honouring prior warranties. I therefore find that a very distasteful way to try to outcompete smaller businesses. The quote was also pretty high, so don't expect anything to be cheap!

Bad service…
Three separate occasions we arranged for quotes, three times we waited in - for no one to turn up, no one called to say they weren't coming. Not recommended!

TERRIBLE
TERRIBLE, avoid.
Salesman for quote failed to turn up 3 times, and then when he did 2 months ago never sent the quote. Also when he was at my place was telling me which type of window would be affordable for me, even though I specified I wanted a certain window type.
I called and wrote to them FIVE times, each time they promised to send quote or find out. Nothing! Then I put in a formal complaint which they acknowledged but never followed up. So no quote, terrible salesman and zero acknowledgement of windows. I'm shocked.

Booked an appointment for a quote
Booked an appointment for a quote. Confirmed it in e mail. Did not show up. Asked where they were and got told I had a missed call and because I didn't answer it, I was driving! they won't come? We had already confirmed time and date in an e mail! DO NOT deal with them if this is how they treat their customers.

I had a very hard sell which I regret…
I had a very hard sell which I regret to gave succumbed to in May 2022. I was swayed by the lifetime guarantee. When installing the fitter broke roof tiles and bricks. They walked on out roof, which is how they broke the tiles. Ever since we've had the windows fitted there has been a leak. A window pane was broken. Many of the window handles were way too tight. Some of these issues got rectified but the kitchen roof still leaks. Now a handle has fully broken and pieces covering the screws have fallen off. I'm trying to access my guarantee which is very difficult. It was the worst decision to go with Everest. I never write reviews but I feel ripped off by this hard selling company.

I would not recommend Everest to anyone
I would not recommend Everest to anybody.I had 15 small ,cottage type windows fitted in March 2025. The windows are of good quality and I am pleased with the finished installation. I was sold Everest (The best) windows and told they would be fitted by a long serving Everest installation team. Actually the windows and trim were Anglian Windows brand, fitted by one installer in a Safestyle UK van. Realizing I had been misinformed I did some investigation into what windows should cost and established that£10,000 would have been a fair price to pay for the windows fitted whereas I had agreed a contract to pay £15,000. I withheld £5,000 and was contacted by the installation manager whose response was that I had agreed the contract and they would take legal action if I did not settle the account in full. I asked Everest to provide a detailed breakdown of the costs, which was never forthcoming, and had to pay the money as the contract was legally binding. I made a complaint to Everest complaints department which was acknowledged, telling me someone would contact me to address and resolve my complaint. Everest failed to make any further contact, which is in breach of the terms of the contract.
The £15,000 price supposedly included a 15% discount and redemption of a £1000 voucher but this was not apparent in the contract. After guidance from Citizens Advice I raised a debit card dispute to establish whether Everest had applied the discount and voucher.
Anglian Windows produced some figures, which were not authenticated, to give the contract price credence , which the dispute reps accepted. It was claimed that the £1000 voucher was redeemed to the effect of £1067, which leads me to suspect that the figures were fabricated to fit the criteria.
Now, through the debit card dispute reps, Anglian Windows are claiming that I am in breach of contract by raising a debit card dispute and I owe them money because they have had to produce accounts to defend their position.
I would expect any genuine, reputable company to have this information readily available.

Everest won't refund deposit
Everest have updated their timeline to refund my deposit to me. It has gone from 1 working day (sales manager, in writing), to 2-3 working days, to 21 days, to 28 days. My next step is to file with the Small Claims Court to get my money back plus costs. Nowhere in the Ts&Cs does it state that they are entitled to hold monies for a month. I suspect they have cashflow issues. Keep away from this company.

Aggressive sales tactics and unprofessional conduct
Called Everest to get a quote for an external door. Despite having photos and measurements, they couldn’t give me a budget estimate and said a salesman would visit at 10am in two days time. On the day, I hear nothing until 12.30 pm when the salesman calls and says he’s running 10 mins behind and that I had ‘misunderstood’ the time of the appointment.
Then once at my house, the super aggressive sales tactics start - here’s a 50% discount ONLY if non one else on your street had used us in 3 months AND only if you accept on this first visit of mine! Salesmen then got offended when I mentioned I had other people providing quotes as well, and that I had to wait till I heard back from all. “Why did you call us then, what are you trying to achieve with other quotes…” etc etc - conversation became really awkward and I started becoming uncomfortable. It took some persuasion to get him out of the house. Phew! Never again!
Writing this review to detail my experience and hopefully save someone else from such a negative interaction.

Very disappointing experience all round
I live in a modern 90s house - the door opening has been built properly square and all brickwork is in good condition. To provide context, I am retired from having worked in the construction industry and have personally fitted more than a hundred quality doors / windows in my lifetime.
After much deliberation, I decided to purchase a new front door from Everest based on my own professional experience and their historic brand reputation for turning out premium products (albeit at premium prices):
- At the point of sale, I asked the question: “does Everest employ its own fitters” I was assured that was definitely the case. The fitters are in fact employed by a budget level company called Safestyle (Everest entered administration in April 2024).
- There’s a 17mm installation gap between the frame and the surrounding brickwork, and there’s nothing you can do once the old door has been ripped out. Looks like the survey team messed up badly there!
- Some of the frame fixings are aligned with the mortar and not the bricks, which means that the frame is not secured according to the recognised industry best practice for a quality installation.
- No shims or packing used which means that the frame is not properly fixed IMO
-Frame movement occurred within two weeks of installation such that the door cannot be locked. Everest customer service interim advice was to push the handle up really hard (I kid you not).
- When I phoned to report the locking issue, I got the runabout between different departments. The phone number on my invoice went through to Anglian windows and they said they couldn’t help me. But they did give me another number for Everest. 'Everest' then made hard work of arranging the appointment for someone to call. Eventually they agreed to come out in a week’s time, and said they would confirm a time beforehand - which they did not.
- I’ve had no apology from Everest despite communicating with different people from the Marketing, Sales and Customer Service teams.
- There are a number of other aesthetic issues that would normally be worthy of complaint. However these are overshadowed by the more serious points mentioned above. Needless to say, I shall not be inviting Everest to quote for the rest of the property.
- On the plus side, the door looks really good, and I have no reason to doubt the factory build standard.
- On the plus, plus side: the fitter (Dan) that came out to remedy the locking issue, was excellent. He demonstrated the standard of service and attention to detail that I was expecting, having paid out £ thousands.

Wasted Time and No Quote – Very Disappointed
I requested a quote online and got a call almost immediately, seemed promising at first. We went through all the details and booked an appointment for today. Then things started to fall apart.
They called yesterday asking for the same information again, and then again this morning. It quickly became obvious they didn’t actually want to come over. I was told to measure the windows myself and that I could get a quote online instead, followed by a face-to-face call. I was already annoyed but agreed.
I was told someone named Robert would call me back, no one did. So I called again, spoke to the same person from this morning, and then someone else called me back. Without even knowing the measurements, they quoted me over £4,500. Completely unprofessional and rude.
To top it off, they sent me an email at 16:21 after our last phone call, even though I had already told them I didn’t want anything further from them. Far too late and just added to the confusion.
It’s clear they haven’t got a clue what they’re doing. Based on this experience alone, I wouldn’t trust them.

Insurance-backed guarantee is just a sales gimmick.
When this company ceases trading, ie goes bust, their guarantee becomes worthless. This has happened twice in the past few years. “Thank goodness that they also provided an insurance-backed guarantee to give us peace of mind” you may think. Sadly not. You will be passed to Installsure, an outfit whose guarantees are just a joke. Be warned.
