The worst airline Company you can choose to fly with
The worst airline Company you can choose to fly with
The economy class seats are the smallest among all airlines. They are so narrow that you think are not for adults but for children but with the expensive adult ticket fare!!
Also huge DELAYS and no reason was given by the staff
The service is so unfriendly and lacks in kind manners
SKIP This Company not worth it the money you pay
Absolutely awful flight on 1st April (…
Absolutely awful flight on 1st April ( no it’s not a joke) 2023 from Bangkok to Heathrow. Flight left Bangkok at mid day (local time) and arrived at Heathrow about 8pm, so it’s a day flight, but the crew told every passenger to close the window blinds and they switched the cabin lights to “night” mode, I can only assume they wanted to keep the passengers quiet. The food was absolutely disgusting and I observed the vast majority of passengers leaving it. It was served at break neck speed by the rude cabin crew, they were in such a rush (why on a 12 hour flight?), and once serving and clearing was finished the cabin crew mostly disappeared for the rest of the flight. If you wanted water or juice you had to go to the galley and ask, it was not offered at any time. The pilot put on the seat belt sign announcing it was for turbulence, this lasted a few minutes but the seat belt “ON” sign stated on for nearly two hours and it was very smooth. Again, I assume, that the crew wanted the passengers to sit down and be quiet, or to sleep, so they could have an easy and quiet flight. Even though the seat belt “ON” sign was on for two hours, the crew did not once check that peoples belts were on as my row of four all had blankets on our laps over the belts. When any of the crew were present they were barking orders at the passengers, they were rude, unhelpful and very poorly trained. I am a regular flyer and will never use Eva Air again.
Cannot call this airline on any of their customer service phone lines. Nobody answers the phone!
This Airline Company doesn't have a customer service that answers the phone. I've been trying to call them for the last two days and never got to talk to anyone. Frustrating!
Unexplained delays
Once the aircraft is airbourne, the service is great, much better than Qatar, and on a par with Emirates. The problem with EVA Airlines is getting the plane in the sky. WHY is the London to Bangkok, and the return journey ALWAYS LATE? Two hours or more is a regular occurrence. 😡
It's impossible to reach a live person at EVA Air.
How can I talk to a live person at EVA Air? The EVA website shows Office Telephone Number:+1-310-362-6600 which doesn't work. It's impossible to call or chat. I have some questions to ask. The only way to reach them is driving to Los Angeles airport and park my car and ask questions?!
No Customer Service.
I have been trying to contact EVA airlines customer service by phone for a week and after going though the options, they immediately drop my calls. I have tried multiple offices (Seattle, Houston, Los Angeles) and the same thing happens.
The website does not list any email that can be used.
Terrible, Disrespectful Customer Service, Never again
Terrible, disrespectful and plain shocking customer service. Don't even consider this airline when flying. Food blah, seats old, but that was fine and not the reason for this review. The reason for this review is Eva air did not leave enough time to transfer between flights at all. Every time. So much that in USA bags took 35 minutes to even come onto cart and we waited another 20 min for an oversized piece. Then, Passport control (took 30 minutes), then customs, then back through security (15 minutes) to put bags on transfer belt. Then S gates onto two different trains to A gates - running as fast as we could. But, missed connecting flight to AZ. When called Eva air literally "Kevin" (as he said his name was), yelled at us for 30 minutes first telling us over and over that "we should have gotten our bags faster", then telling my friend she was the "only one to miss connecting" (untrue as I on a different reservation also missed mine) and once "Kevin" realized that he verbally attacked my friend by telling her "why did we pick that flight with Eva air?" as it time was short? First, we didn't pick the flight, Eva air did when we called and booked it through them. Awful from start to finish. Eva air then said the only solution was to charge her $600.00 more to rebook flight from Seattle to AZ as it was her fault for not being fast enough. I on the other hand had no problem booking my flight to PHX via Amexp which I had purchased. But, my poor friend had eat the money invested for Eva air and book Southwest home the next morning as nothing else that night. Eva air Customer service was terrible. Oh, "Kevin" too was the supervisor he said". Good luck if you need help. You'll get blamed for the issue and treated terribly. I would never, and I mean never consider this airline again and I hope as a customer you won't as well.

I have to wait over 1 hr to speak to a representative every time I call. They make it nearly impossible to redeem points and they will not release any seats. Will never book through them ever again.

DO NOT BUY TICKETS WITH EVA AIR. I tried to rebook my ticket that I purchased from their website but it won't allow me to rebook. I contacted the ticketing office which is located in Toronto and in the Philippines but they never pick up the calls, the auto operator keeps saying the line is busy until it is out of reach. this is extremely poor customer service.
I will call consumer's protection, i'll put your business license in jeopardy. i can be reached at +1-506-588-7020 if you want to settle this with me as soon as possible.
Lost luggage without any compensation from the airline
Flight from LHR-BKK arrived later than scheduled we had to run from one side of the airport to the other (because there are not shuttles). Layover was meant to be 2 hours but we ended up only having 40 minutes to catch our connecting flight to Krabi. The connecting flight from BKK-Krabi was doing a final call when we got to the gate. We arrived in Krabi Airport and all of our checked luggage (including expensive scuba diving gears) was missing. We did not even have clean clothes because it’s in our checked luggage. We didn’t know when our luggage would turn up (or if would turn up at all) because the Krabi Airport crew couldn’t track it. Our checked luggage was delivered the next day at 15:30 with the combination lock to our scuba diving gear missing. EVA Air did not even compensate us for the delayed luggage. Nothing at all.
Food was also below average so make sure to bring your own snacks on board.
The headphones EVA Air flight crew provided me did not work on one side.
It’s an overnight flight but EVA Air didn’t provide us passengers with eye mask and ear plugs.
Bottom line, we’re never flying with EVA Air again.
I was yelled by an Asian male flight…
I was yelled by an Asian male flight attendant who worked for flight BR17. He was boarding customers and unable to speak a simple sentence in English clearly. I had a hard time understanding him. He wanted to say “standing at the right side”. He then yelled with his loudest voice while I was walking towards the left boarding scanner. I was extremely shocked by his impulsive and incredibly rude action. I could tell he struggled with his poor pronunciation. A qualified flight attendant will still be able to say a complete sentence clearly and slowly even with an accent. He could simply say “The left side of the scanner is out of order. Please use the right scanner only” politely. There were more than half of the flight attendants slurred because English is not their primary language. It is not a lot more efforts to give a simple explanation or show me a printed menu, ex: this has egg, sausage and vegetables in it, instead they repeated the same thing again and again in terrible attitude. I never had such bad experience. It was my first time taking Eva airline and will be my last as well.
What on earth is a company t this big…
What on earth is a company t this big doing with a customer support line that is nonexistent and just hands up on you.
I tried every US office number, then I tried the Australian number—all yielding the same results, you get a message telling you they want to give you the best service, and then they hang up on you. This is infuriating!
How hard is it to answer the phone?
I’ve been trying to ring them and they won’t answer… this is the only method of contact they provide. This is ridiculous.
Customer service non existent
Customer service non existent, on board attendants will walk all over you if you happen to be in the aisles, food is mediocre. Some airbus planes are very old and uncomfortable. Will avoid next time.

I will be filing a complaint to the Department of Transportation for lack of customer service via telephone or via email. I have been trying to contact since last year of Nov 2022 to get my seats selected for my honeymoon to sit beside my husband. It’s quite frustrating to have call every month but the pre recorded message states that all lines are busy. My husband and I have called over 14 times since last November 2022 to resolve this issue.
eva does not answer the phone and…
eva does not answer the phone and ignores complaints by sending you back to the system that ignores you. no one answers the phone in sf office no matter when you call. been trying for several weeks to get through only to be hung up on because of "high volume of calls" no matter what time of day i try to reach them
Don't use for long haul international flights if you want a guaranteed trip.
I booked a flight from Munich to Brisbane, 22 hours with a stopover in Tapei. 2 months later Eva air cancelled the connecting flight in Tapei, and informed that they no longer have a good connection from Munich to Brisbane anymore. The recommended I either wait in Tapei for 24 hours until the next day's flight, or to first fly to Paris and then to Tapei.
Basically they proposed far worse alternatives than the original price I paid. They wouldn't offer any compensation for this disturbance and were very rude about it.
Long story short, for long haul flights, trust providers that fly the routes regularly and are not likely to cancel routes a few months before they fly. Go with Emirates, Singapore air, Qatar, etc.
YYZ - TPE
Flew toronto to taipei return, premium economy. Direct flight so prices higher than other airlines but good flight times and worth the few hundred extra. Seats in PE were comfortable, lots of leg room. Movie selection was very sub par compared to other airlines and it seemed their entertainment options were very basic. The food was mediocre, i though for premium seats it would have been better. Customer service on the flight was good, check in was easy on both ends. My only complaint is trying to reach the airline when back home to try and find lost property left on plane… they dont answer calls or social media (seems to be a common complaint). I did find our first experience on Eva to be a good one and would take them again. Overall decent airline but classed as a 5 star, id say over rated…. After having flown Qatar Airways it doesn’t compare to them who are in same class.
I was hesitant but...
I was hesitant after reading the reviews but my experience was of a great flight with good food. I had a minor medical problem during the journey and the crew and fellow passengers were so helpful and reassuring. I would definitely book with EVA Air in the future.
