I made an order for a leather jacket with Etsy, by a "company" called LeatherWorkNY, and I paid 160usd or 140euros. The sellers name is Zahida. I payed my order on 07/02/2026 and I never received anything from them! Etsy is a fraud, don't fall for their lies!

Etsy is major rip off for sellers. Etsy just sent a refund to the customer in Spain because the coin we sent them was still in transit. IN TRANSIT. Now, the customer has the refund and I am out of money and the coin. Get out and move to other polatforms

I have repeatedly contacted Etsy customer service regarding issues with my account and orders. Every time, they respond politely and say they’ve passed the matter to the “competent department.” However, days turn into weeks, and the issues are never resolved satisfactorily. It feels like a constant cycle of empty promises and slow responses, with no real solutions. Customer service is polite, but ultimately ineffective in actually fixing problems.

Etsy is horrible. I can't even get into it to purchase several items. I have tried several times but the prompts allows for no useful information. Get your crap together guys.

TERRIBLE customer service; prevented me from cancelling order by having non-operative webiste and after multiple contacts, still wouldn't fix it or allow me access to my account login. Will NEVER use ETSY again

Don't think about opening an etsy account. Haven't received payment in over a year. Can't contact them as they have loop systems in place to stop you. Anyone who has tried to contact etsy will know what I mean.

I certainly don't recommend purchasing anything from this company because you can't take a complaint to a real person directly by phone, email or text. I was scammed in relation to a supplement I bought & there was just no way to quickly query this without going through a ridiculous procedure.
Furthermore, ETSY should vet these supplement sellers before accrediting them - in this case it was a bogus company not located in the country ETSY said it was; the product was not sent from the country ETSY said it would be; & the parcel labels showed it was sent from China while the parcel tracking showed it was en route from Thailand (which it wasn't!).
Probably a lot of scammers on ETSY selling fake supplements & who knows what else is fake?

Always loved the site until suddenly my account is closed.

Customer service is useless. Each step asks for your email address. Each time it is rejected without explanation or notification.

Shame on Etsy!

This company can improve by hanging up an "OUT OF BUSINESS" SIGN! I would give this third-party company a (0) star if it were available. Do not believe because it looks good, it is real. When you purchase advertised .925 sterling silver or any other metal; please test it with a jeweler before you wear it because it is most likely not as advertised. In other words: It is FAKE!

Etsy is overrun by AI slop, and they aren't doing anything about it. They really don't care. There are AI shops with HUNDREDS of sales, selling fake items and patterns with countless of review that point out they're a scam. Yet the shops are still up and running to scam more people. It's absolutely disgusting that they allow and possible even want this, because the scams make them money, too.

Not renewing my seller subscription. The platform does not assist sellers in any way. I have had more success using Facebook marketplace and other apps for sales. I am very un-impressed with this entire experience on ETSY.

I could not find a return label for the merchandise that I received so I am afraid I am going to have to keep something that do not works for me! There is no customer service.

Hello please do not buy from this site they are scammers ,,,im still waiting for my r/c Escavator and never received it and now they,are ignoring all my inquiries ,,,

they block my account cause i try to buy stuff on a fake store but me i didnt knew this store was fake and i cant talk with chat support !!!! be careful some store there are a big scammer !!!!!

Wow! I feel for all the customers/shop owners that had such bad experiences. I have used Etsy many years now: and it took me a few times of being scammed or bs However: Etsy support did help me, did make things right those past horrible times with horrible sellers however I have also found several VERY RELIABLE, GOOD SHOP OWNERS/SELLERS THAT I AM SO HAPPY WITH THESE PEOPLE (Japan, Korea, Germany, London, Turkey, Texas, etc) and am so very happy with each one of them they are a “10” CS,DELIVERY,Presentation, etc Again; I did have several HORRIFIC BS SELLERS; but, I stayed til I found the sellers I needed/wanted/believed in only because Etsy Support did help me The advice I can give for my experience: I don’t use any of my credit cards I only use “Klarna” credit and Klarna credit card as it seems when using Klarna, Etsy ALWAYS CAME THROUGH so maybe that would make using Etsy better? I am unsure but that’s a reason I believe things work out for me Just advice not a definite answer, am just saying that maybe that’s why I never had these issues that I read so many had using Etsy I hope that helps

Had a horrible experience with etsy. Ordered a gold chain. Received delivery date and then few hours later told that order was cancelled. No reason given- asked to contact the seller. Sorry but do not have time for that !!
Thankfully have been refunded .
Avoid this company as their average review score is 1.5!!. Should have checked before I ordered

They blocked me out of my account. I have a gift card on that account that i cannot use because they have blocked me out. Sent several emails with no response. Customer service terrible

It started off okay, but after a while I was asked to identify myself as a business (again). My camera wouldn't open on any device. I really tried everything in the settings. I was able to tell my story (to the call center in India, I suspect) but nothing was done to really help me. As a result, my balance was blocked. After endless messages back and forth, the outcome remained no help and a closed shop. I was a top seller and had exclusively satisfied customers.
I never received my balance back. Etsy? Never again!
