Ethical Consumer magazine is one of my favourite publications!

We ordered Ethical Consumer magazine for our church to keep up with facing climate change and corporate injustice. I read it thoroughly and pass the information to the other members. It has guided my thinking and, where possible, my purchasing decisions. I am boycotting some suppliers that go out of their way to avoid paying tax, after reading Ethical Consumer. I also check my investment choices against its lists.

These guys are the the ultimate experts in what's behind the stuff you buy. In it for the long haul, having started long before it got trendy to care, they give an extra behind-the-scenes perspective to keep companies on their toes. I'm proud to be an original supporter. Over the years we've made many buying decisions with half an eye on EC reviews and articles, doing our little bit in the world. And sometimes, choosing not to buy at all. All, literally, good stuff.

Ethical Consumer allows me to support brands who carry out their business in a responsible way and to avoid brands who contribute to and benefit from unjust, unethical practices.

I have been a subscriber to Ethical Consumer for nearly 30 years, and have seen the magazine and website go from strength to strength. I really value the ethiscore tables which give an 'at a glance' means of making informed choices between products. The website adds the capacity to customise the ratings to prioritise ethical factors that are most important to you. The editorial content and product guides are also excellent. It's really one of a kind and the best guide to ethical consumpton and alternatives to consumption.

I’ve subscribed to Ethical Consumer almost since it’s inception. I read every issue and often use the online resources for information before making purchases. I find it impartial and trustworthy, not pushing particular issues, but allowing consumers to make their own judgments in an informed way. As politicians fail to adequately facilitate the green revolution, sustainability and ethical and moral practices in business, it is essential that consumers demonstrate their power by shopping responsibly, more so now than ever before. We need reliable information to do that and EC provides it. Keep going.......

Ethical Consumer is a factual, informative and enlightening guide to the hectic modern world of products and services. It provides real, helpful advice on making more ethical choices in a big variety of sectors. I would strongly recommend to anyone wanting to make better decisions in their buying.

I have been a suscriber of Ethical Consumer for over 20 years, and it has always been my 'go to' for advice and guidance on big purchases. The information has got more detailed and less confusing over time, so I am able to make informed decisions.

If you are concerned about the unethical actions of so many well known organisations, then Ethical Consumer will guide you through this maze.

Ethical consumer lives up to it name by giving careful, well researched assessments of a broad range of consumer goods and services. Its articles are the right length for me. I enjoy the clarity of its summarising tables.

it is an interesting source of more ethical companies and products. Allowing people to make an informed choice of sustainable companies and products. Better than trawling through different internet sites, some sites which may be commercially biased.

Straightforward - and thoroughly well-researched - advice on how to steer your way through making ethical consumption choices. Still think they should change the title though - I'm an Ethical Citizen, not an Ethical Consumer!

An amazing guide to ethical living, great and trusted source of information that I find absolutely necessary in order to make the right choices in everyday life and use my power as a consumer to choose wisely and put my money into the right place.

Buying from a company is investing in yourself, the community and the planet - whether that investment is positive or negative depends on the company. I never buy/invest in a company before researching them in the ethical consumer database. I've been an ethical consumer subscriber for years. Their website and magazine is really useful if you want to make sure you support the right companies.

I have had the most helpful positive experience for a few decades now; consistent good advice, open, developing, fair and clear. EC has had a major affect on my life, leading me to EV driving in 2003 and many other choices such as Fairphone, which has enabled me to withdraw step by step from unloving practices in manufacture and hopefully play a small part in changing the world into something much more wholistic and harmonic. I read the magazine as news even when I am not thinking of consuming anything. I feel it connects me with other people and Nature. I trust its editors because they seem to be always endeavouring to embrace confusion and complexity. They never simplify a situation and they change their minds and expand their thinking regularly.
I believe we are responsible for our consumption. We should take care lest we consume ourselves away, not only in the physical world but the psychological and spiritual worlds as well. Associating with heartless human activity is deadening atleast to the soul, if not ultimately corrupting.
Oh yes, I also love the covers and all the graphic design.

Really useful source of information with lots of practical tips to help you make ethical decisions when buying products or services.

I've used Ethical Consumer to change the way I consume. I've used their product reviews and their eye opening articles to do what I can to make a difference. I've chanded my banks, my mortgage, my insurance, my energy suppliers and my day to day shopping with their guidance. In my eyes Ethical Consumer is easily 5 stars!

An extremely useful publication and one to keep. Online access very handy too.

Only issue maybe too much information but better than not enough!
