DO NOT USE Chris Baker of Essential…

DO NOT USE Chris Baker of Essential Electric. He has poor work standards and ethics. He's ego is far more important that the quality of this work. Do not use his work is substandard.

Chris even edited my last review to his benefit. Untrustworthy.

Cant recommend for ECIRs

I am a landlord with properties in Manchester. I hired Essential Electric (Chris) to undertake 2 ECIRs. Chris agreed a timeframe for the work but didnt do it. We re-agreed a timeframe..again he did not do the work. I should have cancelled him then but he seemed a nice enough chap. So I gave him benefit of the doubt. After another missed date he finally did the work and stated he would invoice me that night and deliver the Certificates in "48hrs". Like the good landlord I am I paid the invoice the following day. No certs after 3 days. He then promises them the next day, then the next day, Still no certs. At this point Chris was not replying to emails not answering the phone. I emailed him asking for my money back and saying if I did not hear from him then I would need to complain to his professional body and try recover my payment. Chris then emailed me with unbelievable excuse and said he would send certs by end day. The certs arrived. I contacted him with a query. No reply.
Conclusion- I won't use him again. I can't recommend him. Disappointing as on the phone he is very pleasant. His conduct appeared un professional and chasing him was frustrating. If you look on other forums you will see that others have had similar problems.
