For a software that is supposed to protect you in the internet jungle... eset has become part of the jungle!

Regularly wont work after upating macOS for a few months until they find it a good time to update. Endpoint security open a remote execution endpoint on all you systems that install it. You cannot protect that function by setting 2fa or multiple users need to confirm such dangerous operations.
Support is either completely incompetent or has high incentive to play down the danger of their products and offers zero help unless a textsearch for button names can do the trick.

A quick GPT search gives you a nice overview of their f-ups. All in all you are probably more secure relying on macOS security rather than installing any ESET products.

I replaced my tablet, paid for a secondary license and now ESET is asking me to pay again before allowing me to download software.

I recently purchased Eset's Internet Security and Antivirus package, and I must say it has been an utterly disappointing and frustrating experience.

One of the major issues I encountered was the seemingly elusive nature of the antivirus itself. After downloading and installing it on my computer, every time I needed to access the antivirus, it inexplicably opened a new browser window. This made locating the actual antivirus program akin to searching for a needle in a haystack. I even went so far as to reinstall the software twice, hoping to resolve the issue, but to no avail. It's disconcerting that a basic function like finding the installed antivirus becomes a scavenger hunt.

To make matters worse, the absence of reliable customer support adds insult to injury. The help center is nothing short of a maze, directing users through a convoluted series of instructions that only serve to deepen the confusion. It seems as if there is a deliberate lack of human assistance, leaving users stranded in a sea of perplexity. A decent antivirus should not only protect your computer but also provide accessible and effective customer support – a criterion that Eset seems to have overlooked entirely.

Regrettably, my decision to purchase Eset's antivirus for a year has left me with a sense of deep regret. The frustration of dealing with the software's peculiar behavior and the lack of responsive customer support has overshadowed any potential benefits the antivirus may offer. If ease of use and reliable customer service are important to you, I would strongly advise against choosing Eset for your antivirus needs.

I am using ESET Smart Security Premium for a few days now, and I must say it is an excellent antivirus software. Unlike some 'popular' antivirus that I was using before, it did not make my computer slow. It scans every downloaded file from internet for potential threats and gives me an option to remove them or keep them, if it finds something wrong in that file. Overall, very good antivirus.

I had a problem installing the software. A remote appointment was scheduled by the support department and it was done perfectly.

Simple installation with a reasonably priced subscription

As a web developer, I have been using ESET since 2012 and have consistently been impressed with its performance.

Its detection engine is highly effective at identifying and protecting against malware and other threats, and the sandbox feature helps prevent zero-day attacks. Additionally, the software does exactly what it is intended to do without causing any issues or disruptions.

It does not generate annoying pop-ups or produce false positives, and it does not use a lot of system resources or slow down my computer.

In contrast to other security software, ESET has not caused problems with my Windows system or caused any destruction. Furthermore, the software is well-configured by default, but users can also customize it to their specific needs.

Overall, I'd say I had a positive experience with ESET and highly recommend it for anyone looking for reliable protection for their computer or device.

absolute worst reseller portal out there. It does not do what it says it can, their support was never able to get my endpoints up update or remove the software. Then they suspended my access to the portal and kept on billing me, even though I could not remove or cancel licenses. They refused to support me until I paid for a product that I proved does not work. Stay away from them

Doesn't slow down your system (looking at you Norton and McAfee)
