A mercenary company

A mercenary company. Let me warn you not to use this Enterprise Rent A Car, they ripped off the guy before me, they ripped me off, and they will rip you off too. Let's go:

When I was at the branch I heard one of the agents speaking on the phone with one of their customers, demanding £1500 for some damage on a bumper. I thought with myself, "Jeez, let me be careful with this car otherwise I may suffer the same fate."

I decided not to take the extra insurance (£100-something) thinking I'd go unscathed.

I took the best care possible of their car, looked after it really well, and promise you, it's impossible (mathematically impossible, proven by logic) that I had added a scratch to their rear bumper.

But sure thing, when I deliver the car, there's a scratch in the rear bumper. How? I wonder.

*I noticed that the paint quality in parts of the bodywork of the car was so poor that I could remove it with my nail*

The scratch in the rear bumper is as if someone had tried to put a suitcase in it, and scratched it in the process. With that paint quality, sure thing, on a hard edge some paint would go away. But no one put a suitcase on that boot other than me. And I assure you I took utmost care of it.

They simply took my £200 deposit, never mentioned a thing. And now they simply ignore me pretending don't know who I am when I get in touch with their customer service and take days to answer anything I write to them.

As an explanation for the bumper is that someone (or Enterprise itself) painted it with really cheap paint which went away with rain.

I'll NEVER use this company again, as even if I had made that scratch £200 would be way too much for it. As a courtesy, I'd just let the customer go with it so I can welcome them back later. But I'll remember where NOT to go in the future.

Traveling can be stressful!

Traveling can be stressful!! There's a lot of options when it comes to choosing a rental car. I will always choose enterprise because of the customer service! I rented from the Oakland airport where Verbin Young assisted me when checking in. I have rented from this location numerous times and never had any issues. As my first flight of the year came around it seems like everything has upgraded, except me! I forgot to upgrade my info in my profile causing a flag on my account. Verbin was able to help solve the situation quickly! I appreciate his patience and kindness through what could have been stressful situation. I will continue to rent through this company and location!

I rent from the Monroeville Mall…

I rent from the Monroeville Mall location in Pittsburgh Pa. This is a top notch team that works there. Managers Josh and Ellie go above and beyond to provide ELITE customer service. The office is clean with super friendly advisors. And their drivers
are the best around. I will always rent from Enterprise and refer all friends and family to this rental company.

They need them clean up their cars and teach customer service how to interact with people

I won’t be going back to enterprise because the car they gave me was trashed and according to their clean policy, the vehicle is supposed to be sanitize and cleaned before the next customer takes it out. This car was filthy. Customer service doesn’t want to call me back they don’t want to swap cars out so I think I’m just gonna take my business to somebody you appreciate their customers cause surprise share doesn’t.

SCAM COMPANY

SCAM COMPANY . Untrustworthy company .

*I Always has an issue with this company but unfortunately my Car hired was book through my Audi warranty with this company again but i would never accept this option in the future.
*They charged me £800 over nothing and claimed the card was damage with a tiny single scratch it could happened before it handed out to me .

Do not rent from this company. I returned my vehicle on time and in the same condition as when I picked it up, and they later charged me for alleged “damage” without providing any meaningful evidence. The “damage” in question was a tiny scratch that is barely visible and could easily have been there before I picked up the car. They offered no clear before-and-after photos, no proper documentation, and no proof that I caused it. They then charged my card for the alleged “damage,” refusing further discussion.

This is a deliberate tactic. If they can charge me for something this minor without evidence, they can do it to anyone. I strongly recommend taking your business elsewhere. A rental company that can’t provide transparent documentation shouldn’t be trusted with your money.

I am so disappointed

I am so disappointed. I have been a loyal Enterprise customer for years. Did not expect to be treated like this when I have a problem w/my rental experience, February I rented SUV (at Denver airport) two weeks ahead of time. Car not available when I arrived; waited on the curb where the agent directed me to stand with 2 little kids. 1/2 hour later they tell me they are borrowing a car from National. It arrived filthy and smelling of food. We had to get going, so sadly got in the car and left. Immediately began the process of complaining to Enterprise only to be passed from one person to the next. Three weeks have gone by and still trying to get someone to act on my 'case number'. At the airport when I returned the car, they asked how it was.....I told them this was a bad experience and wanted to talk with someone as I expected a credit, upgrade, or some action. But, they only want to hear 'Everything Was Fine' and get you gone!!!!! I gave negative feedback and no one is interested.

I never leave reviews but I rent a lot…

I never leave reviews but I rent a lot of hire cars through enterprise through work. every single time I’ve had issues with the service, communication, and sometimes the car itself. For example, car hasn’t been dropped off or picked up and I’ve been stranded with the car, overcharging, not answering the phone, rude etc. very very poor service. I’ve never seen service this bad and it’s across multiple branches. Clearly a company issue

I rented a vehicle from enterprise and it was filthy. They didn’t sanitize it before the next customer had it.

I run a vehicle from enterprise in Venice, Florida location first off. Let me tell you they told me all they had were vans so my car went into the collision shop next-door, and I was in a pinch when I picked up the vehicle. It was filthy which here was filthy. Interior was filthy. The outside was filthy and now I got a problem with ants. I call customer service so far. I haven’t heard anything back. Tried to swap it out with another vehicle, but all of a sudden nobody has any. This is really poor customer service in enterprise has a clean car policy where every car is supposed to be cleaned and disinfected for the next person. This car was neither. I’m truly disappointed in enterprise. I thought they were a reputable company, but I guess they don’t care too much about her people who come in the rent their vehicles I don’t think I will be going back to enterprise for that simple reason. All I expected was a clean vehicle bug free and I would be happy, but this is not the case under their clean policy. This car should’ve never gone out before it was disinfected or cleaned. It’s a shame that people I have to put up with stuff like this I don’t look forward to running a vehicle for a matter price again I must maybe customer service can satisfy me and take care of their issues.

Enterprise is not reliable rental…

Enterprise is not reliable rental partner.
I reported damages as instructed at the pick up place and still some of them were found as new damages.

I made immediate claim, showed pictures and contacted customer service, but nobody reply.
They just refer rental terms ignoring customer feedback.

Very bad service and unreliable partner.
This is first time I have been charged for fake damages.

Unlawful charge and safety hazard

Unlawful charge and safety hazard – AVOID AT ALL COSTS
Deplorable experience with the Alamo/Enterprise agency at Bordeaux Train Station (contract 2H19FY). They rented me a vehicle with a slashed tire, cleverly hidden on the sidewall. They put my family’s safety at risk.
Despite timestamped photos taken BEFORE the contract was signed (at 12:40 PM for a contract signed at 12:45 PM) proving the damage was pre-existing, and despite reporting a low-pressure warning shortly after departure, the agency forced a €305 charge on my credit card without any invoice or signed return inspection.
I had to handle the maintenance of THEIR vehicle myself during my vacation, and they have the nerve to charge me for it! This is a dishonest rental company that ignores blatant evidence and has never deigned to reply to my emails since the very first day of the rental.
A formal legal notice (LRAR) has been sent, a report to the French fraud authorities (SignalConso) has just been filed, and a criminal complaint for "Abuse of Trust" (fraudulent use of credit card authorization) will be filed within 48 hours unless a full refund is issued. I will not let this go.
I have been renting cars at Bordeaux Saint-Jean at least 3 times a year for over 10 years with various companies and have NEVER had a single issue. This is my first and definitely my last time with Alamo.
Flee for your safety, your peace of mind, and your wallet.

After being involved in a non fault…

After being involved in a non fault accident in an unfamiliar town, my vehicle was recovered and a rental was set in place quite simple really or so you think !! after waiting around all day for the vehicle that I was told was being prepared didn’t show up I decided to give them a 3rd call to be told by Dan the assistant manager a member of his staff has messed up and they don’t cover the postal area the vehicle was planned to be delivered to, it’s now 5:45 the absolute joke of a company close at 6:00 so no van no work no money this is the Weston supermare branch I’ve managed to talk with the Bristol branch whom seems to be more understanding to the situation myself and work colleagues are going to occur if we don’t have a van for work fingers crossed that there out of team get this sorted then maybe I will write something positive about them but as it stands enterprise have not lived up to the high standards they claim to have.
Update to my review from yesterday

After my non-fault accident the 3rd party’s insurance team would arrange a replacement vehicle. I was told someone would contact me and get me back on the road as soon as possible.

That hasn’t happened.

I have received no call, no update, and no replacement vehicle. I called again this morning to find out what was going on, only to be told they still cannot find a van for me. This is across at least multiple branches so far.

I’ve made it very clear to them that this is not just an inconvenience. I run a small building team and we rely on that van to work. Without it, we can’t get to jobs, transport tools, or earn a living.

I already lost a full day’s work yesterday and today because of the accident. Now I’m losing more time waiting for a replacement that was promised but still hasn’t materialised.

When we don’t work, we don’t get paid. This isn’t just affecting me — there are three of us in the team whose livelihoods depend on being able to get to work. Every day without a van means lost income for my business and the people who work with me.

To make matters worse, the branch closes at 2pm and I’ve been told to wait again for the out-of-hours team to contact me. Based on the lack of communication so far, I’m not holding my breath.

For a large nationwide company like Enterprise, to fail to provide a replacement work van is incredibly frustrating. Their own website promises customers will be placed into a replacement vehicle within a set timeframe, but that promise clearly hasn’t been kept in my case.

At the moment, the situation is simple: my van has been taken, no replacement has been provided, and my business is losing money because of it.

**I am now documenting the ongoing loss of income caused by this delay, as every day without a replacement van is directly affecting my business and the people who work for me. Dear Sir/Madam,

This email is a follow-up to the formal complaint I sent on Friday evening, in which I clearly explained the urgency of my situation. Unfortunately, it is evident that this has not been taken seriously enough, as I am still without a suitable work vehicle despite multiple assurances this company is incompetent and hasn’t got there customers best interest at heart

They are really dodgy

They are really dodgy. First they gave you low battery vehicle, you park the vehicle in your garage (not driving) because i was on holiday, when i came back battery was flat. We agreed to call the AA to change the battery and after 2 months they decided to put this on me and charged me. They just took money from my account. I had my insurance with them and their fault they gave me low battery vehicle. My issue was i didn’t drive the car just parked. Thats ridiculous! Go to other companies never rent any car from them

DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY

DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY. I received a letter in the mail 2 months after I rented a car claiming I was responsible for damages that I didn't cause. Enterprise employee walked the car at drop off and checked me in and everything was fine. The mail I received 2 months later had photos taken days after I dropped off the car and at a location other than RDU. Additionally, the plates in photos didn't match the plates on the car when I rented it and the photos showed that the car had been driven for several miles more than just the trip to the body shop. Why would the plates be changed after I dropped it off and before they took it to a body shop? I requested time stamped photos, video or even a report that shows damages anywhere close to the time that I dropped off the vehicle and was told I would need a court order to get these things (which they obviously don't have since their own records show it was undamaged at drop off). They have refused to drop these ridiculous charges. I will be filing complaints with the BBB and with the attorney general.

Book with a different company

Be extremely careful booking with Enterprise.

I prepaid £895.75 for an 11-day rental from Nice Airport and arrived later the same afternoon on the pickup day. Because I arrived outside a 2-hour pickup window that is buried in the terms and conditions and not clearly shown during booking or in confirmation emails, they treated it as a “no-show”, gave the car to someone else, and charged me a €150 fee.

I never received a car and had to rent another one from a different company at the airport (who were far more helpful).

It then took almost a month and four phone calls to receive the refund for the rest of my payment, with repeated promises that the refund was “on the way” and no email confirmation despite asking for a paper trail.

In the end I got my money back minus £150 for a car I never received. Very poor transparency and customer service. for a car I never received.

We rented a car from enterprice in…

We rented a car from enterprice in benidorm last october.
First we couldnt find the place, it was someone in a parking garage. But thats oke.
We booked a car with full insurance. Then the man tried to give as another insurance. We said no, we have one and thats good enough.
He charged for the car and the insurance. After contact and after i showed all the papers. They said oke we will gave you your refund. But thats 4 months ago. And still nothing. Nobody is reacting on emails.
I also contacted the enterprise Facebook page and chat. They also said someone will contact you. But nobody is.

Their service is very bad. I dont think i will see my money back. And i would not rent here again.

I will never use enterprise again

We wanted to rent a15 passenger van from Friday till Sunday. We were going to have to bring it back by noon on Sunday so we changed the return date to Monday rather than having to pay $66/hr. We set it up through expedia at$150/day. I was told $810 and I would get $300 back when it was returned. When I got there to return it they told me the total was $765 instead of the $510 agreed on (810-300). We argued. Finally he said he was just going to give me the $300. Unfortunately I didn't have my reading glasses with me and just took his word for it (I know, I know.... My stupidity). When I got in the car and looked at the receipt he did nothing but charge my card $765!!!! I signed up with Turo. I hope to never use enterprise again!!!
