Is not any more an hospital. Is nearly becoming a graveyard. Bad slow service. I went for appendicitis. 8 hours to do a scan. This is a joke. We pay a lot of tax in this country. Bad place to be. La... See more

Wigan hospital
Wigan hospital
Sending patients home with C. diff and saying nothing to the family just to make room and free up beds and this as now spread to multiple people. I've spoken to a solicitor and we intend to put in a clam for each person effected
This is the worst experience of our…
This is the worst experience of our lives, and one that will stay with us forever.
My wife was 7 weeks pregnant, in severe sharp pain, bleeding heavily, and becoming semi-conscious. I called the ambulance service repeatedly, clearly explaining that this was an emergency. Despite this, I was told to take her to the hospital myself.
I explained many times that my wife could not stand, we live upstairs, and I could not carry her. Instead of help, I was met with dismissive and insensitive responses. One call handler even said, “What will you do if your wife has labour pain?” — an unbelievable and cruel comment given that she was only 7 weeks pregnant and actively collapsing. I was also told I had been “deleted from the record.”
My wife then became fully unconscious, continued to lose blood, and miscarried at home before the ambulance finally arrived. Only after our baby was lost was she taken to hospital.
At the hospital, the lack of care continued. Despite significant blood loss, extreme pain, and being unable to stand, we were left sitting on a basic chair for around six hours with no urgency, dignity, or compassion. Someone who has just miscarried and nearly collapsed was treated as if this was not an emergency.
This experience was traumatic, humiliating, and completely unacceptable. A miscarriage is the loss of a child. This was a medical emergency, and the response from both ambulance services and hospital care was a total failure.
We pay taxes and trusted the NHS in our most desperate moment. That trust was broken when we needed help the most.
I hope no other family ever has to go through what we did.

Does not even deserve one star
Does not even deserve one star. Shit service. Long long waiting time. Worst thing about UK.
Worst Healthcare system in Europe
Worst Healthcare system in Europe. When the Government uses taxpayer money on a wrong thing. I have to wait more than a month to get a ultrasound and more than 2 months for gastroscopy let alone for their result and let's not even talk about when they will start the treatment if there is something serious. No wonder people die here in this country even with simple illness because they are not diagnosed and treated on time.
Disgrace
This company has proven to be an Absolute Disgrace since they back the Mentally ill trans instead of it's own peoples or customers. To me, then NHS deserved to lose there case
HUMAN HAMSTER WHEEL OF DEATH
Employed clowns posing as CONSULTANTS wearing white gowns and that carry stethoscopes around their necks to justify their extortionate salaries.
Nurses and Consultants happy to play PASS THE PATIENTS or USE PSYCHIC ABILITIES TO GUESS A DIAGNOSIS!!
Happily strutting around NHS premises looking as if they know what they are doing and wondering how they can fob the next patient off onto someone else.
Staff all dreaming when they can next go .on strike and extort more money for being incompetent and still smiling.
They are death.dumb and blind to the patients whose lives they ruin.
This country is a complete joke
This country is a complete joke.
How much more suffering and blood do the government want on their hands?
They should stop adding endless people to failing services - I best not elaborate but most will know what i'm on about.
Our useless government should be ashamed of themselves.
Poor service, shocking
Unfortunately, my experience with this NHS service was extremely disappointing. Communication was poor from the start, with long waiting times just to receive basic information. I was given unclear and sometimes conflicting advice, and my concerns did not seem to be taken seriously.
What is particularly worrying is that the clinical guidelines being followed appear outdated and not aligned with current research evidence. Several GPs abroad have expressed genuine shock at the standard of care and treatment approaches routinely offered here in the UK, which further highlights how inconsistent these practices are with up-to-date, evidence-based medicine.
While I appreciate the pressure the NHS is under, patients should not be receiving care that contradicts current research or modern clinical standards. The lack of transparency, follow-up, and willingness to engage with newer evidence made this experience deeply frustrating. Overall, I felt unsupported and dissatisfied, and I would not recommend this service based on my experience.
The NHS in the UK is a death trap
The NHS in the UK is a death trap. I used to think I was not being treated properly because I am a foreigner and Black. But over time, I realised that even though racism makes the situation worse for foreigners and Black and Brown people, it is not good for indigenes and citizens either. We are often given extremely long waiting times to see a doctor, sent away with painkillers, and no one seems to care even when we are in pain for months or years. Meanwhile, we are forced to pay a healthcare surcharge during visa applications, so the service is not free. We either travel out of the UK for healthcare or get worse while waiting.
No prevention
No prevention, they send you away to come back when you're really sick.
I've been sick for over two weeks. Over a week ago, on Sunday, I was coughing so hard I couldn't catch my breath. I called 111 and got an appointment with an ambulance attendant. He examined me and practically laughed at me. "Some people cough for over a week and then come back." I have to take paracetamol, and that's it. Now I'm really sick. I've been coughing for over two weeks, and what's more, I have heart palpitations and terrible back pain. NHS workers don't do prevention; they tell you to wait until the disease really develops. They have no imagination and don't care. Someone here wrote a review that the NHS is wonderful and can't find a single fault with them. That's mockery and sycophancy. Or this person has never been abroad in their life and doesn't know how the health service should work. Shameful.
Best healthcare system out there still
Best healthcare system out there still, glad that we still have it. Nurses, doctors super helpful if they are treated well
Can't find fault with it.
Most staff don't really know what they…
Most staff don't really know what they are doing and just in it for the pay check.
Occasionally you will meet a specialist of some type who will temporarily restore some faith but this is rare
WAITING TIMES IN A AND E OR MEDDOC
I WAS GOING TO GO TO HOSPITAL TO HAVE MY FOOT LOOKED AT AS IT SWELLED UP ON CHRISTMAS EVE AND I DECIDED AGAINST THIS AND AM STILL PUTTING UP WITH A SLITE PAIN IN FOOT BUT IT IS SOMETHING I CAN PUT UP WITH.
AS I AM NOT GOING TO SIT IN A WAITING ROOM WITH WAITING TIMES OF 2 HOURS PLUS.
IT IS ABOUT TIME THESE WAITING TIMES WERE SORTED AS YOU SOULD NOT HAVE TO SIT AROUND THE WAITING ROOM FOR ALL THAT TIME THEY MUST BE ABLE TO SEE YOU QUICKER.
THEY SEE ONE PERSON WHEN THEY FEEL LIKE IT.
A POOR SYSTEM AND NEEDS SORTING
NHS not what it used to be ☹️
As an OAP Notified to get COVID jab, made appointment on arrival I was found not to be eligible that is despite having a compromised immune system due removal of kidney & 2 adrenal glands due to cancer Heart attack 2014 with 2 stents Boxing Day I have tested positive for COVID & feeling terrible 🤬 Was informed you have be nearly dying to get the jab 😔 the NHS is not what it used to be
Nat WEALTH Service, not HEALTH
It's obvious NHS care not, as they don't respond to reviews. Today, Xmas day rang them, having had a bad twinge in my back which rendered me painfully immobile (could not walk, crawl, sit or move). I had already told her I could HARDLY MOVE & that I took some co-codamol (which SHOULD NEVER BE TAKEN WITH PARACETAMOL, as it already contains paracetamol & can cause liver probs). She reeled off a load of verbatim questions which sounded like she just wanted to eliminate that I needed help. THEN, she said 2 things.. 1. Would I be able leave my flat, if needed?! 2. To boost the painkilling, I can take paracetamol. IS SHE DEAF & TRYING TO KILL ME OFF. QUITE DISGUSTING. More bothered about saving money, than saving one's health, or even life.
I would give the maternailty care…
I would give the maternailty care department down stairs 5 stars. However, their is a reason why u dont gst shown around upstairs delivery ward and after recovery ward. Recovery ward like a WAR ZONE. U expected tp recover with every sound from parents, babies and staff with only bit of blue curtain around u sharing a space with 8 others. No peace no REAL recovery. If men were given bith this would not be allowed to go on. Secondly, the rude staff members in recovery ward. Only to not want to be helpful in caring for u. More concerned with completing paper work or doing their student course work. We were told to ask for pain relie and etc. When asking person seeing to us they did not like it. When the hand over came u could tell it was personal and the next person caring for u had the same nastry behaviours. Again asked for pain reli. Student midwife ran her mouth to me one staff member had to tell her to relax herslef but she didnt. A stsff member in blue told her dont worry we are leaving in few days time. If they read our notice or maybe they did and they still didnt care what we been through. Ehen it comes to some B staff treating their own B patiances like nothing and foggetting themselves thinking they can do and speak to u howecer. Then all of sudden days later aware u have your partner working at this hospital so they change only their behaviour then on day u leaving. The culture upstairs is u have to many same pples upstairs who have same behaviours and allow staff and students to speak to black and asian like rubbish when the staff black themselces. major problems in recovery ward due to staff, sturcture of up stairs, poor space and dirty rooms whixh not worth the money. Staff just want to sit on their chairs completing paper work and tick boxes. They really dont care if u baby no taking breast they just leave ya. When they think ur own ur own as u fam pop out staff show true colours. Certain staff or students should not be working in this filed. Clearly do it for money or status but lack emotiinal intell and mindset nit suited for or to care for mothers and babies. How can all hand overs from each person who looked after us care on same nastey way. As they talk and decide to treat u same as first person. If u need to log formal complaint got be done first year.
GREEDY INCOMPETENT DOCTORS
Being Ex-Forces we had our own Military Hospitals Until Previous Governments got rid of them, our care was 100% as "Doctors were Very Well Trained & Qualified".
The NHS is NOW responsible for "Service Personal Care. NHS Standards are so low Servicemen are NOT TREATED PROPERLY. Afghanistan & Iraq Wounded had 30% less chances of survival because of "INCOMPETENT Drs. Botching Operations & Procedures".
I Personally have had "2 BOTCHED Operations at their hands with not even an apology.
Un-Qualified "Foreign Doctors went to prison in the 80's " under Margret Thatcher, HOW MANY ARE BEING ALLOWED TO PRACTICE NOW BECAUSE THE BMA IS NOT VETTING & PROOFING THEY ARE QUALIFIED.
STILL WAITING TO SEE A HOSPITAL DOCTOR.
First class treatment.
After five years of suffering from chronic Erosive Pustular Dermatosis, l was used to lumps appearing on my scalp and then going away. Then a lump appeared, continued to grow and then started to bleed. My GP referred me to Royal Surrey Hospital. A week later l saw a consultant and the following day the lump was removed. Surely absolutely first class treatment.
