Very bad support and problem to contact the company per telephone or chat. Nobody in the concern speaks English...
I am paying for the electricity 0.6€ / kWh, which is crazy. They are laying in their advertisement.

I wanted from them also Fiber internet, a nightmare. I am waiting 3 Months and nothing happened till now. I lived in many countries but i never had such as issue with easy stuff as connect to the internet or get a support from international company as is ENEL.

Don't do business with them!

Trying to get help in English is like…

UPDATE:
(Question) Can electricity flow over a burnt off wire??? Apparently, YES! Utilities bills keep coming for unfurnished services WOW!
Doesn't repair damaged equipment but, sends bill after bill after bill for electrical power service that physically can't be furnished....And worst of all, no one at this company seems responsible for resolving the situation in any way.
UNWILLING TO RESOLVE THE MATTER IN ANY WAY!!!
THE ONLY THING THEY DO ABSOLUTELY PERFECT IS SENDING BILLS FOR SERVICES ((NOT PROVIDED)) !!!
TRULY SAD!

-------- ORIGINAL FEEDBACK --------
Trying to get help in English is like winning the lottery.....they have people but for some reason they can't get them on the phone! You push the help for English speakers number button to get connected, only to get automatically transferred back to the normal Italian only customer service where we don't understand them and they don't understand us. You get the runaround and never escape and get stuck in limbo - FRUSTRATING!!!
Customer number 330508950
Via Dei Ravanelli SNC, 97014, Ispica, Ispica, RG, Sicily, Italy
P.S. We are currently customers with enel energia Italy and have made every effort to have our electricity power meter read without anyone at enel energia contacting us, neither by phone, email or otherwise. Furthermore, we have been, during our vacation stays visited the enel point in the city of Rosolini, Sicily, Italy and requested countless times for a repairman / serviceman to come to our property to finally (PLEASE) come out and read the meter, NOTHING! Read your internal communications records with us they are lengthy! We strangely do receive estimated bills for electricity which the burned wiring at our property do not allow us to have used, unless you want to tell us that you provide power wirelessly!? Frankly we have been patient with your company, I do not believe an Italian native customer would've stayed calm after all this time as we did.

Regards,
Kassandra Harneit

Servizzio Electtrica nazionale do not use

Servizzio Electtrica nazionale are part of ENEL. Do not use them as they are useless. There was no electricity for 8months and could not contact them. The ENEL shop had never heard of them. So a very helpful man in Sanremo helped me change to ENEL and electricity within 8 hours. This was brilliant and am very pleased.

Awful company

Awful company; without advising me (they say they sent me an email but I have received nothing) they changed my contract - even though I was on a fixed contract they increased my price to 4/5 times the original price per kwh, so out of the blue I received a bill for 500 euros for a 2 month period - they say they can’t do anything, only change the contract to variable per September, I asked why they could not do it from today and the response was “it’s always been like this” i said because it’s always been like this does not make it right and she got very unfriendly - maybe try to hire some people who question the “it’s always been done like this” approach - as this way you will slowly be loosing your clients until it’s too late to turn things around - the ratings you get on here should speak for themselves. Don’t just change people contracts, if you have sent them an email and don’t hear back, give them a call, discuss the options - that is what customer service is - everyone knows electricity prices are increasing and I am fine with that but 5x as much without any notice is a crime and you should be reported to the regulator.

Avoid this Company like the plague

Avoid this Company like the plague, I was told when I signed up that they had very good rates for gas and electric. But when I received the bills they were worse than the previous Company, For the electric I was receiving around 100 euros and we were not using any electric, I explained to them that the meter was not working and I was told they would sort it out, but they didn’t, it’s still the same. When I questioned the size of the bills I was told that the contract would be put on hold till we returned to Italy as soon as the Covid rules were relaxed. As for the gas the price was high the same as the electric, but the payments were set up through the bank on a direct debit, but they made no attempt to take the payment, this I thought the reason was as the gentleman said that everything was on hold till I got back to Italy. When I eventually returned I found that the gas had been cut off and they denied that the contract was on hold. I had to pay well over 500 euros and I still couldn’t get any answers why what they said was not carried out, I was also told that they would need to start a new contract and it could have taken up to a month to get reconnected. Therefore all the bills have been paid but we still have no gas, there is no one I can talk to or to explain why I have paid all that money without using any gas or electric. I know there are standing charges but not 500 euros for a few months.

I haven't received the gas or the…

I haven't received the gas or the internet that they promised. It has been eight days. I can not call them, no emails. I do not know if this is a legit company or I have been scammed. Still waiting for them to provide me the hot water so I can shower or the heat so I do not have to sleep in cold rooms or the internet, so I can work. Pissed off at the moment. I should talk to the agency who suggested this company. I have a feeling that I would be living like this for a long time. Mental torture! I tried to contact them via live chat, gave my information and they said they would call me. Still waiting for that call, it has been 4 days.

New highs in incompetence and stupidity

My nomination for the biggest load of rubbish on the face of the planet. Italy should be very proud.

So here we are, @ 2018, orbiting space stations, remote operation robot surgery, instant global communication, and ENEL - who can't provide a functioning email address. This of course is only the tip of the iceberg. Everybody/everything directs you to their new flashy but disfunctional web site. Meaning lots of pictures and it talks the talk but is incapable of walking the walk - very Italian.

The new site has 'English' pages. Fault one, there's a lot of Google Translation which means in context a lot of words are meaningless. Fault two, most of the links you follow, especially to pages you really need, are not translated. And, to send an email you must Register. All OK till it demands a phone number. But, this must be an Italian mobile??? Since when does it mean anyone with a computer automatically has a mobile phone??? And an Italian one???

The purpose is secondary login, like you probably find with a bank or financial corporation. So, does ENEL hold my money? NO. Does ENEL send/pay my money when I tell them to? NO. Is ENEL a bank or financial institution? NO. Do they need secondary login? NO. What's someone going to do, hack my account and pay my electric bill for me? I am doing this registration on a computer, right, so send me whatever code TO MY COMPUTER. Of course, banks, card companies and other financial institutions use selecting characters from a special word chosen by me as secondary login. But then they are practical and intelligent.

Yes you can phone ENEL, but #1. no one speaks English, and #2 when you get your needs understood, in Italian, they can do NOTHING for you but direct you back to the flashy website which is no use because you can't register because you don't have an Italian mobile phone.

In this day and age I had to resort to communicating with a National communications corporation by..........writing a letter!!!!!!! In Italian of course.

I again explained all these faults, and, other than AGAIN pointing out if they use my UK address they MUST include the postcode, I asked for an email address I can use to contact them, and, the name and IBAN number of their bank so I can pay by money transfer.

I didn't get an acknowledgement, but eventually I got a reply. Did they provide me an email address? NO. Did they give me their bank name and IBAN? NO. Did they tell me to 'go to our website'? YES.

Total utter morons, I rest my case.

Their comprehension and use of technology is like the operating theatre sketch in Monty Python. "Do you have the machine that goes ting?" They have it, but they don't know how to use it or if they actually need it.

Strangely, the much small water company has no problem with practical requests.

If ENEL is incapable then they'll just have to wait till I'm in Italy and go to an ENEL office. Expect I'll then have to take some invoice to pay at a bank or Post Office as big institutions (including Civic and Government) aren't allowed to take cash payments any more in a bid to reduce fraud and corruption. You did know Italy ranks 60 in the league of least corrupt countries? That's worse than Uruguay, Chile, Bhutan, Botswana, Georgia, Namibia and Romania for example, and equal with Cuba, Look-up Transperancy International, Corruption Perceptions Index.

Adopt, adapt and improve, I'm looking into off-grid generators.
