I took the bus from Aberdeen City Centre to Edinburgh Airport and vice versa. No complaints about the bus, the price, the communication and the driver. All good. However I had to get off at Aberdeen... See more

An Insulting Experience for a Pensioner on an Ember bus in the dark!
Admittedly, I missed the earlier bus from Elgin - by minutes. My fault! Resigned to the later bus which was delayed by more than 20 minutes. Due 20:45 Elgin Rail Station travelling to Aberdeen. Caught the bus. But the delay necessitated a visit to the loo. Buffeted in the toilet, I wondered if the bus had been in collision. It had not but persons of my own age e.g. 73 years, might have been discomfited. Absorbed in writing a review, I missed the designated stop. Stagecoach M96 alerts passengers of stops. Eventually, away from my iPhone, I recognised the surroundings. I questioned Oscar, the driver, and he said he’d waited at my designated stop but he’s not obliged to say anything. I wasn’t particularly happy but was about to leave the bus and walk the extra distance when an offensive word was heard. Trustpilot won’t approve printing the wordI declined to leave the bus and invited the passenger who slandered me to apologise. No apology was forthcoming. Indeed, one passenger asserted that others on the bus would agree with the comment. I asserted that was a matter for police and justice to decide - not a slanderous passenger. At that point, I invited Oscar, the driver, to summon Police Scotland. As a pensioner and law-abiding citizen, I’m not prepared to tolerate this infantile abuse. I may have made a mistake but I am by no means a person who might be likened unto the orifice by which one defecates. If Ember condones this type of abuse they do not deserve to serve the people of Scotland. The slanderer relented. He apologised twice and shook my hand twice. I left the bus. A horrendous Ember experience.
Ember coach travel, definitely worth a try.
Seamless journey from Aberdeen to Inverness on sunday 15th February approx 11.00 am
Driver was welcoming, well mannered, professional and very helpful.
Definitely recommend
Do not trust this service
Do not use this service. I was supposed to travel from Edinburgh to Aberdeen at 3:20am. I arrived 30 minutes early because that was the only connection I had to reach the city centre and walk to the stop. I waited, but no bus stopped at the bus stop, so I unnecessarily booked a ticket for a service that never arrived, believing I would reach Aberdeen before 8:00.
As a result, I had to buy a much more expensive train ticket and I was also late. If you want to use a responsible and reliable company, do not use Ember. Buy a ticket for a train, FlixBus, or another similar company instead.
I am so impressed with this new bus…
I am so impressed with this new bus service. They have really thought about the timetable and how to provide more options for travellers from the Highlands to reach the airports for example. The buses are comfortable and bonus that they are electric and I love the tracking service.
Excellent? But the heating needs reviewing.
Excellent from Fort William to Edinburgh. Scottish winter. But going going down, more than a bit chilly. TBH, rather cold. Back up, -- fkn freezing. No heat under the seats. Seriously cold from bus frame, and windows. Driver put the heat up from above. Nice try. I think your service is good, very good, but please do something about the heating in a Scottish winter. Body-warmer and bunnet the next time.
Excellent bus experience
We used the Ember bus for the first time to travel to and from Edinburgh airport. This month. What a fantastic service.
It left on time from Inverness city centre and got us straight to the airport in under three and a half hours. Lovely friendly driver.
It was brilliant to come out of the airport terminal in the early hours on our return to have a bus right outside the door. Snowy conditions on way up but again a lovely driver dealing with what must have been a difficult drive.
Comfy bus with reclining seats made for a good journey.
If you haven’t used them yet, I’d strongly recommend you do, first class.
Bus to the airport delayed by 1 hour
Horrible experience. Bus to the airport delayed by 1 hour! Information updated on website 5 min before the start of journey. Thank you very much, waited at the bus stop all this time. I will let you decide if this service worth choosing. Personally - never again, so that refund in credit doesn’t do anything for me.
Comfortable and good experience
Comfortable and good experience - very popular and good for the environment. Only issue I found was lack of phone charging points.

Booked Ember from Ballater to Drumoak 3 hours before, fantastic service, bus on time, clean warm and very comfortable, many thanks to Tom our driver
How all bus journeys should be.
We use Megabus occasionally but tried Ember for a change. We’ll now stick with Ember. Quiet, no rattling, smooth, clean and comfortable, Ember takes bus travel to a new, higher level. My car might be left at home more often now.
Cold… Fort William to Glasgow return
Cold… Fort William to Glasgow return, on both journeys I was cold, I could feel cold air blowing. Which made the journeys uncomfortable. Other than that, the bus was comfortable with good facilities

I had a very positive experience with…
I had a very positive experience with Ember Bus. The bus was delayed by around 90 minutes due to the A9 being closed, which obviously wasn’t ideal. However, what really impressed me was the customer service. Even in the middle of the night, they responded immediately, clearly explained the situation, contacted the driver, and called me back to confirm the updated arrival time. They then sent me a live tracking link so I could follow the bus in real time.
On top of that, they refunded my ticket straight away without me even asking. In times when contacting customer service is usually a nightmare, it was genuinely refreshing to see how smoothly and professionally everything was handled.
The bus itself was clean and comfortable, and it’s great to finally have a direct connection from Inverness to early morning flights at Edinburgh Airport. I really hope Ember stays around for a long time — this service is a game changer
Tom took us to Dundee last Saturday
Tom took us to Dundee last Saturday, and despite the weather conditions, got us there safely. The road was closed near Cupar Angus, due to flooding. He calmly searched for another route, despite having no plan B. The road chosen was a bit hairy, due to the narrow roads, but he got us to our destination with just a slight delay. We are lucky to have good and sensible drivers on the Ember buses. I highly recommend Ember, really comfortable buses. They have opened a new route for people who live in rural areas. Thank you, Ember. Tom and Brian are excellent drivers.

the online suport team were verry helpfull ,i had just missed the booking window and i messeged online where laura helped me change my ticket within minutes
Never had a problem
Never had a problem. Very transparent and informative about what is going on e.g. Delays and cancellations. Can get a full refund from them very last minute which is great if plans change for any reason.
Drives always friendly and helpful.
Amazing coach service that is actually…
Amazing coach service that is actually reliable and runs like a dream. Friendly drivers, comfortable and clean on board. Very reasonable prices compared to Stagecoach or trains when travelling longer distances, with refunded ticket costs if your coach is over half an hour late to it's destination. You can also track on the live map and get text notifications, which means no need to hang around at a bus stop in miserable weather waiting to see when it will turn up. But beware, regular use of their service will make you forget just how archaic and decrepit the rest of the public transport is, until you have the misfortune of using one - I'm looking at you, First and Stagecoach.
Long live Ember; please don't ever go away!
Excellent trip with Ember
Inverness to Glasgow in a cosy comfortable recliner seat with good WiFi what’s not to like. Friendly driver and easy booking via the website will definitely use again.

Excellent service from Elgin to…
Excellent service from Elgin to Inverness then to Glasgow. lovely spacious comfortable buses . The only issue I had was the time allocated for changing buses in Inverness a suggestion I would make is allowing a bit more time for connecting buses especially when travelling with disabled passengers. Drivers were very helpful and friendly.
Excellent service 24/7
Class act, left my wallet on the bus in the early hours of the morning so I emailed ember and they organised it to be delivered back to the stop I got off in the morning. Email responses even at 2am were very fast and helpful.
