Will not honor warranty on 2025 vehicle
On July 9th, Repair Order 6071015 stated that the dealership replaced a brake wear indicator on my front left wheel to fix a brake/suspension clunking noise. Initially, this resolved the issue.
However, on August 4th, after a "factory trained technician" inspected my brakes, the clunking noise returned on my drive home. During a recorded phone call with Toyota corporate on August 5th at 2:06pm Central Time, the service director revealed that contrary to what was documented on the Repair Order, they had actually only attempted to bend the part to "restore spring tension" rather than replacing it as stated. The attached video shows evidence consistent with bending rather than replacement. It's possible the technician also made an error during reassembly after the August 4th inspection.
Despite the recurring issue, the dealership refuses to fix it - they won't even allow me to pay for the repair myself.
Additional problems discovered during the August 4th service:
The Field Service Technician (described by Daniel Briggs as "one of the most brilliant people I've ever met") failed to apply brake grease to any brake hardware, resulting in squeaks, squeals, and ticking sounds over bumps. I was able to resolve most issues with brake grease myself, though I have an appointment at TCCN to complete the repairs.
A persistent ticking noise from the rear when driving over bumps or turning right was caused by a caliper sliding pin/guide pin bolt that was left slightly loose. I was able to fix this by gently tightening it myself.
I attempted to follow up based on Greg Luzinski's recommendation from a previous review, but was unsuccessful in getting resolution.
The service leadership team, including Daniel Briggs and Marc Collura, have been unwilling to address these multiple service failures appropriately. My car left their service department in far worse shape than it entered.
