Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Considering 59 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many people found the website and app to be of poor quality, describing them as buggy, slow, and unintuitive, with frequent freezing and issues with saving progress. Customers consistently reported that the product failed to effectively teach new concepts, with lessons being too long, confusing, and often not aligning with test material. Reviewers also expressed frustration with the lack of video feedback, repetitive assignments, and the absence of clear explanations when failing lessons, leading to a cycle of redoing content without understanding. However, some people found value in the self-paced nature of the activities, appreciating the ability to control their learning speed and choose which units to complete first.

Some of its information is outdated and…

Some of its information is outdated and inaccurate.
because its information is outdated and inaccurate, its making it my least favorite platform for working on school related concepts. Its not worse than IXL but its still trash. Im a student by the way.

Hard to follow along, overwhelming, complicated, and unexplanatory

Hard to follow along. The directions are not specific and it has you doing multiple levels of Spanish instead of just one. Additionally, the explanations are 80% in tables, and not very explanatory. In general, the platform is hard to understand of just how to open things and it has you submit audio files. It asks for irrelevant personal information. Inside the mini "lessons", some of it requires you to write small essays, and when it does, they also will not be the last assignment thing that you do. It doesn't really explain everything well, it kind of just expects you to already know it. It has you doing things multiple days in a row, and once you miss one or two of them, it can be extremely hard to try and catch back up. It can be very overwhelming and stressful. I do NOT recommend using this site for learning Spanish, not only for yourself, but ESPECIALLY not for students.

Horrible

Edmentum is the worst thing you could possibly use. I am using it to take Spanish and it is HORRIBLE. It has so many confusing words, barely reviews over things from previous units, and has assignments that are just annoying, tedious, and honestly useless. I would not recommend anyone use Edmentum if they are actually trying to learn a foreign language.

From a Student's Perspective

Here is the brief list of some issues with this platform:
I've had tech people say it is buggy and does not work properly (on the teacher's end, parent's end and student's end),
There are unrealistic expectations set that can stress out students (I've struggled with juggling only four courses),
There are no holiday breaks,
It does not seem like the courses are fact-checked, and some of the courses are teaching me untrue and biased material,
Random updates that stopped me from being able to do my lessons, then changed the way everything looked.
These are some of the largest issues I've had with the platform itself.

Some good things about the platform:
It is self paced, which is definitely nice.
They've got some a neat built in page that searches for on demand careers using your interests.

Personally, I advise people to stay away from this platform and find an alternative option.

Terrible at Teaching Students

As a student taking Calculus AB on edmentum the program has done nothing to help me in learning the basics of calculus. The lessons go on for way too long and never make enough sense. The explanations are non existent and there is not enough material to actually learn the subjects being taught. Furthermore the lessons are known to have mistakes in them. Lastly the questions in progress checks sometimes are from subjects further on in the program, meaning that it could ask you to do something you haven't even learned! It is very frustrating and has done nothing to help me learn the topics.

when I fail a lesson it makes me do it…

when I fail a lesson it makes me do it like 9 times and I don't know why it does that because it should give us some things to help us next time or just skip over it and when were ready we will do it. Its a very confusing app I don't like it and I hope they improve bc this doesn't help me it helps me feel like I get worse and worse each time so edmentum please improve were all asking.I think edmentum should if were doing bad it should give us something easy and then as we get more right it should get harder but it shouldn't make us do it like 9 more times after read my first sentence or paragraph. And there way of understanding is only sometimes good and horrible its like the except us to already know and the slideshows in my opinion that teach you before the lessons are sometimes not useful.theres so much more I could say but mostly edmentum please improve!

stop using this

It genuinely sucks (like my spelling, that's my problem). I was told to do Edmentumm for credit recovery during my senior year of high school (current). I have been using it since August and have not completed a single course because it teaches concepts that aren't on my tests and the questions are worded very vaguely. I genuinely hate using it and have had a constant headache for almost two months now because of it. schools should see that everyone hates using edmentum and see that it is very difficult to learn using this "education" site

Edmentum is amazing

It teaches me a lot of stuff and now I have more brain cells and it teaches me stuff that I really could use when I'm older. It helps a lot of people reviewing what you know and it teaches people new things that they never knew before. I hope it stays in schools for a long time.

Educational Neglect

This app is for any school who prioritizes grades over actual learning content. I genuinely cry at the thought of homeschoolers or people like me who joined school late and were given an alternative having to do this bullcrap. It does not tell you what you did wrong on the tests, there is zero video feedback in the math tests(which reuses the same questions after awhile), and here's the kicker: Its structured in a way that does not teach you a concept within the normal week or two, like in public school, its a quick event. There is only 5 practice questions before the test and the tutorial is just straight up words. Which is eye-tearingly annoying when you aren't Oppenheimer and need verbal instruction. All in all this is educational neglect and money making mischief in its biggest form. And the saddest fact of it all: is the governemnt really does not care.

This company could really improve by…

This company could really improve by telling you what you did wrong in the questions. When you put adults in perspective of what your forcing the kids to do or else their grades go down, it puts adults in their kids perspective. This company should improve on glitches with things not saving, and things freezing. By the way, the only 5 stars are brain rot kids.
