I love Ecuagenera! Their prices are the BEST and they sell very exotic orchids that are very difficult to find. You do have to wait sometimes, as long as a month even to get an orchid all the way from Ecuador, to Florida, then across the US. So be prepared for that. But to me it's worth the wait to get a beautiful, healthy plant that is impossible to get in the US. However, they are tropical growers. They may not realize how impacted those of us who live in the far north are. I never order orchids from any grower in the middle of the winter. I always wait until we have a solid month of warmer weather before I start ordering any tropical plants. Early April through late September, is my safe time in my cold, far Northwest location.

Placed order 3/28/25. First they provided a UPS tracking number right after I placed the order, but then the next day the tracking showed 'shipment canceled'. I emailed them and they replied 3 days later that that was a mistake and order would ship on Monday the following week. Monday I get a USPS notification that a label had been created. It's Thursday 4/10, and shipping still hasn't updated. Glad I only ordered 1 orchid.

Update: Revised rating from 1 to 4 stars. Finally received on 4/18. They included a free plant which was nice. Cattleya looked ok when received. It was well packaged.

(July 2024)Prior to my order I emailed Ecuagenera to ask questions and I received a response from Daya 24hrs later. My orchid, Mi Morena shiiped and arrived quickly, she was packed with care and had healthy roots. Since then I have emailed Daya with questions about the upcoming pop up show in NYC and she answersquickly. She responded to the email I sent yesterday and will help me to place my order to pick up at the September 2024 show.

Ordered 3 plants - 2 anthuriums and 1 philodendron and they arrived in perfect shape, with great and healthy roots 2 weeks after I ordered them- located in Czechia/Europe. Plants were ordered from Ecuador website.

This is far and beyond the best company I’ve ever purchased from, the customer service is top tier, this was my second order and I really couldn’t be happier. Every single plant I ordered was very generous in size and immaculate in its condition, to have gotten them from the US/Ecuador to the UK and still have them look this healthy is practically wizardry. I also want to shout out spiceotic plants who distributed them to me once they arrived in the UK, clearly a caring and careful distributor, it’s always such a pleasure purchase from you, thankyou!

Ecuagenera is AWESOME! They send rare & tropical plants from Ecuador. It's so fun and interesting to get these beautiful, full large plants in the mail. I've ordered from them several times over the last 5 months.

Most plants were healthy & sizable. Only about 2 times, a plant or 2 came in bad condition. Ecuagenera corrected this in a timely manner. They make it possible for people who otherwise didn't have access to these special plants, are now able to easily get them.

2nd order from this company where I received half dead plants. Tried to revive to no avail. Tried to file PayPal case and they want me to return item to Ecuador even though they shipped it from florida. What a scam

Terrible customer service experience. Products either don't ship on time, or arrive damaged and no option to get reimbursed unless you spend even more on returns. Having to dispute over PayPal - not the best way deal with. You either get lucky and get rare plants for cheap, or you loose your investment. I personally had to deal with both US and EU (GHMB) subsidiary, very rude personnel to my surprise. Sad to miss those opportunities to get rare nice plants but I simply cannot deal with sellers like that, and would not recommend to anyone. Better pay more but get great service and no stress than gamble with this company.

I placed the order te 23rd of december, while there were very warm temperatures for the period (15°C in Germany and north Italy). But they decided to send the order in january when it was freezing.
Also, the sent in wednesday and I received the parcel the next monday.
Result: Some plants are dead, some other are suffering, I hope to succeed in saving them.

They don't reply emails, very bad customer service.
What a pity. I give 2 stars just because they have very interesting plants at a very low price.

These guys really grow the most amazing plants!
I recently received my order of Anthurium Veitchii, Anthurium Warocqueanum and an Anthurium Regale.
From ordering right through to aftercare the guys here are fantastic and always happy to help. Their customer service is great and are always quick to reply and very polite.
My order was imported from Ecuador to the U.K very quickly and delivered to me the day after arriving in the country. The plants were packed very well. I had literally no leaf damage from shipping and almost 1 week into acclimatisation they are looking great. I expected to lose at least a leaf from each plant on arrival or during acclimitasion but so far not even any yellowing.
I'll definitely be a regular customer. I understand not every import will do as well but that's the chance you take. The prices are much better than here in the U.K and you get much bigger plants for your money and the quality is amazing.
Can't wait to place my next order.

The plants show up yellowing and soggy but there is an acclimation process so I am hoping they recover. I know we're importing them but I feel like they can probably do better. Couple this with their horrible customer service and I'm not sure I'll purchase from them again.

I had a question about the bundle I ordered so I asked for help. All three replies that I received were so rude and they told me that it was my fault and that I need to check orders better. I'm honestly surprised that at how rude their reply was

This company does an amazing job as shipping plants. I chose for the fast shipping option what may have helped preserve the plants. My beautiful warocqueanum has leaves up to 45 cm which remained completely damage free and within a week a new leave has begun to form! All the plants arrived great and none of them disappointed me. Ofcourse you can expect some damage because the plants are shipped across the world but every plant will survive.

After watching a few YouTube reviews for Ecuagenera, I decided to take a chance and ordered 3 philodendrons 1 anthurium. Order was placed 27th of February 2022 but did not arrive until 21 of April 2022. I cannot say it was worth the wait because I was very disappointed with the quality of the plants they sent. The plants leaves were yellowing, 2 had broken leaves, and damage on the rest of the leaves. I sent an email together with photo evidence and not surprising I have not had a response. Very substandard. I would not recommend this site to anyone and definitely won't be buying from them ever again. A waste of $170. 😤😡🤬
