Very Worrying Experience
I ordered the items online under a different company name. Normally, when placing an order, you would expect to receive a confirmation email confirming payment and a separate confirmation of the order itself. On this occasion, I received neither.
When I checked my bank account, I could see that the payment had nevertheless been taken. This was particularly concerning as I had no order confirmation or other acknowledgement that the transaction had been successfully processed.
I eventually received an email from the company confirming that the order had been dispatched. However, Royal Mail subsequently confirmed that the parcel had actually been sent by a different company name.
Thankfully, the items did eventually arrive and were as ordered. However, the whole process was unnecessarily stressful and left me questioning whether I had been the victim of a scam or had been charged by an unauthorised company.
Although the order was ultimately fulfilled, I would strongly suggest reviewing your ordering and communication process. Customers should receive clear confirmation of their payment and order, and any use of a different trading or dispatch company name should be clearly explained. This would avoid unnecessary concern and provide customers with confidence that their payment and order are legitimate.
