I bought the HYALURON ACTIV B3 evening cream in Denmark for DKK 318.50 (€42), and it caused a severe allergic reaction on my face. My skin started itching and burning immediately, and I had to wash it off.

I went back to the pharmacy, and they told me to file a complaint online. I did, received a confirmation, and provided my email — but no one ever contacted me. For a brand as well‑known as Avene, this level of customer service is extremely disappointing. If a product causes harm, the company should take it seriously.

I will not be buying Avene products again.

This product is not even close to reef safe and animal friendly. ITS EXTREMLY CHEMICAL AND TOXIC!! Avoid scammers

No reply from the Company after several e-mails and calls about how to use a product!

Disappointed. Bought product specifically for skin redness but doesn't cover any red patches on my face. Especially as it wasn't particularly cheap. I already use an off the shelf product for fifth of the price which does a better job of covering blemish.

Very good quality
Work well for acne prone mature skin. I use avene hydrante and it soothes and moisturises plus doesn't cause any pimples. Skin looks nice.

Ever since my dermatologist recommended these products I have been fully content.

I have very dry, very sensitive eczema prone skin. I have a range of Avene products, I have tried to write reviews on Superdrug’s website but they won’t publish them so I will write about my experiences here. The one product that is ok is the Avene eye make up remover gel but it doesn’t take all the mascara off. Xenacalm doesn’t irritate but it is very very thick to put on the face. Their toners contain perfume and alcohol 2 ingredients not suitable for sensitive skin. I have the hydrance serum that burns and stings and IT CONTAINS PERFUME!! The other cream I have is the rich compensating cream again IT CONTAINS PERFUME. These 2 products have caused burning, redness and itching on my skin. These products are marketed at people with sensitive skin yet contain the very ingredients sensitive skin sufferers should avoid. I looked at these 2 products on the EWG cosmetics database and overall they are classed as a medium hazardous risk but for allergy causing they are rated as high-very high risk. If you have sensitive skin use their products with caution research the ingredients as they have made my skin worse.

The dermathologist recommended me this brand and I love it!!!my skin improved a lot, I have it extremely sensitive, flaky and itchy, and it has recovered. I read they also not test on animals which is very important for me.

I started using Avene skincare when I developed mild acne all of a sudden. The Clearance range overall is very good. I especially like how Avene understands that acne doesn't just happen to teenagers but it can strike at any age. Finding effective products that are gentle on older skin was not easy until I discovered this French pharmacy brand. I also like the hygienic packaging of their products, especially the moisturisers.
I am very much a return customer as Avene products are reasonably priced, hygienically packaged and actually fulfil what they claim to do.
