If you value your time, money, and sanity, run—don’t walk—away from Easyship’s “support” and FedEx’s shadow-billing circus. Here’s how their tag-team hustle works:
The Bait
I paid $57.46 up front for a FedEx Ground Economy label. I keyed in the EXACT specs—63 lb, 27 × 15 × 16.5 in—verified on my own scale and tape.
The Switch
Weeks later, Easyship slapped my card with two “adjustments” totalling $35.11, claiming the very same weight and dimensions I already declared and paid for. Duplicate billing, plain and simple.
The Gaslight
I asked for FedEx’s dimension-scanner file and scale ticket (you know, the data FedEx is required to keep).
Easyship’s answer?
“Send us studio-quality photos of the box on a scale and a measuring tape on all three sides—or we’ll reject your dispute.”
Translation: You prove we’re wrong, even though we can’t prove we’re right.
The Sham Evidence
Instead of the carrier’s audit file, they sent me a redacted screenshot from their own backend and a “test quote” that anyone can reproduce by typing the higher dimensions. That’s like a mechanic handing you a bill and saying, “Trust me, your engine is shot—here’s a Google image of a blown piston.”
The Stonewall
Request carrier documentation again? Same canned response. Mention their own terms that FedEx must provide proof? Crickets.
Why This Matters
Zero accountability: They hide behind photo requirements they know most shippers can’t meet (my shipment contained pillows—try recreating 63 lb of compressed pillows after delivery).
Policy tunnel vision: They weaponize internal rules to shift the burden of proof onto you while ignoring the carrier’s legal duty.
Money grab: Duplicate charges + hoops designed to make you give up = free money in Easyship’s pocket.
Bottom Line
Easyship markets itself as a “best-value” shipping platform. In reality, it’s a risk multiplier: you pay twice, fight blindfolded, then waste hours chasing screenshots that prove nothing. If you like surprise bills, circular emails, and Kafka-level dispute hurdles, by all means sign up. Everyone else—print your labels somewhere that respects basic evidence and consumer rights.
Would I use Easyship again? Only if every other carrier and aggregator on Earth vanished in a cosmic event—and even then I’d consider hand-delivering the package myself.

Although at first thought Easyship was a nice service and would save me some money on shipping, I quickly found out that they hit you with fraudulent charges every month. I only sell one product and so know the exact dimensions and weight of every shipment. However, every month I get hit with extra fees because, according to them, UPS is passing on extra charges. No information why, just a list of what might be! I raised a complaint saying that I shipped thousands of the same size packages directly with UPS and never got these fees even once. However, since swapping to Easy Ship, I now get these random fees. Total scam and waste of time complaining. These added fees take away my savings and make using the service pointless. Customer service clearly doesn’t care and just makes the situation more frustrating. Avoid and find a company that doesn’t want to rip you off.

I sent a package, computer, to the Philippines using Easyship in November 2024. Within 5 days the package was lost, and undeliverable. I had insurance on the package, but the insurance company made it so difficult to file, I never did. June 20, 2025, my package shows up at my house. I guess they found it. And they are charging me 12 dollars to return my package to me. Not a fan of this shipping company at all.

By mistake I upgraded to a higher plan and reached out to customer support within 15 minutes to request a refund as "their policy.." Despite my honest intentions and no plans to upgrade, my request was denied. It was very disappointing. UPDATED --- in less than 24 hours to 5 stars. My first request was turned down, which is why I wrote this review. Lauretta and Sumit went above and beyond to address my concerns. They followed up with ongoing calls to understand the problem and worked diligently to resolve the issue. Their dedication improved my experience, and I can say with certainty that their customer service is real and that they care. Having used their free version for years, I can recommend both their free and paid plans. Well done to handling the issue promptly. Many Thanks.

Would give them negative stars if it were possible. The absolute worst company to deal with. In our experience, the features worked most of the time but not all of the time. That is kind of an issue for a volume shipper. In addition, we had to create 18 different shipping rules to force each carrier option based on customer choice. Every other platform uses basic mappings, but EasyShip needs rules that force the software to select the correct carrier. During initial setup, their system didnt connect with Etsy or eBay as claimed. It was only able to handle a singular shipping option which you will have to automate to default to or it wont import any shipping selection. They claim this is fixed but we cannot confirm as we were too scared to undo the shipping rules to experiment. For your own site, it will be a nightmare as their system will randomly change shipping to the best option in their opinion. You will again have to set up automations to overcome this. Their software does not accurately rate USPS Ground Advantage. It will charge random rates that are not consistent with USPS published Commercial rates. There is nothing to overcome this. You just have to hope you send more packages where they undercharge as opposed to overcharge. The most important quality of a shipping platform is accuracy, and they would get a zero here. As if all of this isnt enough to stay away, they try and force you to use their insurance rather than the included carrier coverage. When you have to file a claim they will slow walk it and claim it takes 2-6 weeks. We currently have a claim we can see on UPS website has been paid and still cant get our money from EasyShip. We tried for over a year to make it work with them, and finally reached our breaking point. We currently have 4 open support tickets and none have been resolved, some dating back 2 months, with no hope of a resolution. You would be better off taking your money and placing it in pile and then lighting it on fire then to give it to these crooks.
UPDATE: Although they initially denied our request for a refund of our monthly shipping subscription since we were no longer using it, after leaving this review they reached out and offered to refund it. We accepeted this offer and wondered why it was denied and they only offered AFTER we left a negative review. Then it came, could you change your review or take it down. We denied this request as we felt our review was an accurate accounting of our 15 month experience with EasyShip. It is really sad that companies these days wont do the right thing until you impact their brand image. We wouldnt have left a review had they just refunded us for the monthly fee. We were willing to write off the cost of their system overcharging us or incurring import charges and just go our separate ways. Maybe they will be a bit more understanding for the next customer who makes this simple request.

Someone created false shipments from my account and charged over 3k to international shipments. The email addresses used for the sender are throwaway emails, However, some of the packages (per the tracker) were actually shipped before I discovered the transactions. Still waiting on refunds,
I am not sure if it is an employee doing these shipments or what. The first transaction was for a low amount and was sent as a "test" because the shipment name was a city/state. Then labels were created for multiple shipments, making money for easy ship

I've shipped 19 packages through Easyship.com for the last 10 months. 13 packages were not scanned by USPS or shown as still 'In transit'. USPS First class mail postage (called Light Weight Trackable) from Easyship.com has a different format, so USPS normally doesn't scan it when receiving. Easyship.com charges for tracking, but the most of my packages were not tracked by USPS. Easyship.com must change the postage format of 'Light Weight Trackable' or make USPS to scan its postage. I reported this issue to Easyship.com 2 months ago, but they didn't change anything.
They are the worst. They happily take money and package, shurb of responsibility to some third pary.
They lost package, waste of time, money and effort. Such a stupid service
Good company, solved my dispute with UPS overcharging, so I deleted my old 1-star review and I'm leaving this 5-star review for them. I wasn't asked to, but thought it was the right thing to do. It's a good company and I like how you can see all your shipping options in one place. Saves a lot of time.
Absolutely impossible to get to speak to a human

We were charged nearly 7 times for the return shipment, we will never use their service again. Completely unhelpful and risky. Very poor customer service......

There was fraud on my account and they charged me over 1600 for various shipments. I called them any cancelled the shipments 2 weeks ago. They keep making excuses why they wont refund the money to me. They keep saying "they are investigating" but they already told me that it was fraud, cancelled all the shipments before they were sent and are just holding my money.
They keep having me email back and send stuff to support and the general email but they just say "I know it has already been about two weeks and I truly appreciate your patience. I will reach out to you immediately as soon as I receive any updates from the team."
They have cancelled the shipments and the fraud investigation should have no bearing on returning my money, especially since they cancelled the shipments.

Easyship can not correctly offer free shipping. The easyship plug in for woocommerce websites is severely flawed.
easyship displays 3 shipping options for domestic USA
the problem
option 1: easyship is displaying UPS for free shipping on my account. WRONG.
option 2: easyship displays USPS Priority Mail at $1.71 - totally WRONG. USPS Priority mail is a paid shipping option and the correct price is generally $6.50 - $8.50 for a 4 ounce package
option 3: easyship displays UPS next day air at $64.00. the price is $32.00\
ridiculous.

I retried their service, this time with a more expensive service. They swallowed my money yet again. This is a HUGE FRAUD. There seems absolutely no way of getting your money back. They make all these promises over and over again, but yet keep taking money over and over again.

I used Easyship to generate a FedEx shipping label for an item I sold through Asset Appeal. The shipment, sent on July 28, 2024, was insured, including a $70.12 insurance fee. Unfortunately, the item was lost in transit. While FedEx marked it as delivered, their investigation confirmed the loss. FedEx approved my claim and reimbursed me $100, as part of their standard policy, but they advised I contact Easyship for the remaining reimbursement, due to the additional insurance purchased through your platform. I opened a claim with Easyship and submitted all requested documents, including FedEx's claim approval, invoices, and communication. However, Easyship requested that I verify my identity through a provided link. I successfully completed the verification process three times, yet Easyship continually indicated that my verification could not be processed. Despite this, Easyship stated they were unable to verify my identity. If the link is not working, I am more than willing to submit my personal identification through an alternative method. Despite providing all the necessary documentation and following the requested steps, Easyship has refused to reimburse me for the full insured value. FedEx has approved my claim, and I have complied with Easyship’s procedures, but I am still being ignored. I respectfully request that Easyship process the full reimbursement for my lost shipment, as I paid for insurance through your service and provided all required documentation. I appreciate your prompt attention to this matter and look forward to a resolution.

Initially Easyship sent me an invoice to pay for shipping with three line items: shipping, processing and import taxes. The line items didn't add up to the full amount listed, it was off by about 5 dollars.
After some back and forth with the supplier, I would be refunded and could pay again, this time without import taxes which I would have to pay on delivery. Okay, sounds good....
Except Easyship raised the price of shipping to be MORE than the original shipping + import taxes combined. Plus, shipping would now take 16-30 days rather than the 10-15 days listed before, with the same shipping method.
This business can't calculate things AND will try to defraud you. Avoid them.

Update 3/14/25: Tom, the CEO, took time to resolve this issue. It was due to a mis-understanding and he has made this right for us. We appreciate him taking the time to do so.

We have shipped with another company with ease for 12 years and decided to give them a try. Not a great experience to say the least. They decided after I upgraded to their paid plan (and paid $29) -- that my business ships hazardous materials that didn't comply with their policy. The hazardous material in question: Handmade Dog Soap. Their customer service doesn't seem to understand what dog soap is as they asked me to provide info on the batteries that are shipped with it (??). We requested a refund of the subscription fee and are hoping they follow through with that. Very unprofessional and we will be going back to the other company!

Easyship claims scam
I was incredibly disappointed with Easyship after one of my pieces was destroyed during shipping. Easyship's claim center denied my claim and ignored my Better Business Bureau complaint. They denied this on the basis that I didn't photograph all of the packaging in advance of shipping. I'm telling everyone about their poor service and have switched my business to another provider.
