Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Looking at 702 reviews, most reviewers were unhappy with their experience overall. Customers frequently encountered inefficient service, long waiting times, and disorganized check-in processes. Many people were frustrated by hidden fees and unexpected charges, including additional costs for out-of-state driving or mandatory insurance, significantly raising the final price. Vehicles often arrived in poor condition, being dirty, smelly, mechanically problematic, or smaller than anticipated. The offsite locations, requiring multiple shuttles and extended waits, also contributed to dissatisfaction. However, some reviewers praised individual staff members for being pleasant, helpful, or professional. Conversely, other customers reported staff being rude, unhelpful, or dismissive, especially concerning issues or undisclosed fees.

HOUSTON LOCATION IS A JOKE

HOUSTON LOCATION: If I could give negative stars I would. This place was an absolute joke. I traveled with my husband and 2 kids (6 & 1 years old) for hours prior to shuttling to this off airport location to get my car reservation which was scheduled for 10:30AM. When I arrived I was not greeted yet I had to find my way to someone who didn’t even work there to give me direction of what to even do. I had to put my name on a list and wait to be called for our car? When I finally got an employee I stated the reservation was already booked and paid for for 10:30 (it was around noon by this time) she said it didn’t matter it’s first come first serve and to put my name on the list. I asked about how long the wait would be because my baby would need a nap and my kids would also need to eat and I got a rude and snappy response of I’m not sure check the list? Maybe an hour?? There was 18 people ahead of us to get a car. After 1 hour, there was only 4 names taken off of the list that got their cars. When I asked for a wait time it was “an hour” once more. We patiently waited.

By this point we have been waiting for 2 hours on a car. Trying to keep my kids from having meltdowns in a room full of pissed off people with no patience left and employees doing the absolute minimum. They were running like they had somewhere to be but it took HOURS to turn around a few cars. There was FIVE EMPLOYEES!! I was to the point of offering to pay double or even clean my own car just to get out of there and go to our air bnb!!

Finally, after waiting three hours and it’s now 3PM. We get called to go and finalize everything and sign paperwork to be charged even more!! This was a paid in full rental and it was through a 3rd party company. The price we paid included insurance and it was over $300 for 5 days. They then charge us another almost $300 for insurance that is required? When we asked questions we got answers like “I’m not sure or I don’t know”. After arguing with what seemed like a wall, we decided to just pay it so we can leave. We finally get showed to our car, get everything loaded and leave. As we look around, the car is disgusting to say the least. There was dried up yogurt (hopefully just yogurt) in the cup holders, the car was washed with water hose and not dried so there was hard water stains thick enough where it made seeing through the windshield difficult, greasy marks all throughout the car and on the handles and smelled like smoke! So really, what were we waiting all of that time for? We didn’t want to go back since our babies were starving and exhausted already from all of the chaos so we figured we’d deal with it. THEN the oil change light comes on. We look at that and it’s 14 THOUSAND miles OVERDUE!!!!!! So not only did we get an unsanitary environment to put our kids in but it’s unsafe as well?? We got little to no direction with this place and I will be doing everything in my power to dispute everything we’ve paid to this joke of a company. DO BETTER!!!! People are traveling hours upon hours just to be greeted with absolute unprofessional customer service.

PS- There was 2 women in there when we first arrived and the younger gal, seriously do everyone a favor and just get a new job that will actually bring you happiness. No one deserves your bitter attitude when you've chosen to work there.

I booked online and Easirent was the lowest, however with upsells ended up EXPENSIVE

I booked online and Easirent was the lowest total price for the rental car amongst all the other rental car companies in Dallas. And while it did take a bit for the shuttle to come, I wasn't overly upset by that since I understood upfront that the rental agency was off property. When I arrived at location and was doing paperwork, I was then given option to add 'unlimited toll coverage' for $17/day or risk paying by tag with $25 admin cost each toll per the sales rep. This was not an accurate statement and somewhat of a scare tactic; I looked online after the fact and tolls were more per instance than prepaid, but not $25 extra each toll as Easirent rep stated. I believe they stated this to sway towards their exorbitant daily rate for tolls. At the time, I wasn't sure whether I would hit tolls or not so felt pressured into the $17/day (less than $25) which ultimately now increased my rental by over 50% of the original cost. Adding the ridiculous daily toll rate now became one of the most expensive rentals amongst the others. When using other rental agencies in the past, they just charged whatever tolls were incurred which is fair. The irony in all this...I drove from Dallas to Austin and Austin back to Dallas - didn't pass through 1 toll so I paid the $17/day for NOTHING!! To me, this tactic was along the lines of bait and switch. I will NOT rent from them again regardless of how low their costs appear as the low cost draws you in, then they try to upsell without putting effort into whether they believe you require the service or not. If I'd been smart I would have done a quick GPS and realized I didn't even need it but I was caught off guard and didn't think of it until after I left. I gave 2 starts because the car itself was fine, it was just the customer service and tactics that really were poor!

NEVER rent from them especially if you…

NEVER rent from them especially if you are local. They lie to try to get you to buy their insurance (bring your insurance card AND the type of coverage you have) and say that even if it says unlimited miles it actually isn’t if you’re local. You are restricted to 150 miles unless you pay extra. They said it is in their fine print online. I took the time to pull it up on my phone under my reservation and it does NOT say that btw. The customer service is horrendous and they do not care about their customers. The tires on my rental from them are close to bald!

BIG HEADACHE!

Made a reservation for an SUV to be picked up at 1:30. Clerk told me the gave away last SUV at 1:00. They were putting me in a compact for the same price .
Couple days into to trip I noticed they added $19 per day on the paperwork for a toll pass I did not want . Contacted THREE people at easi . Was never removed . This airport location in West Palm was very racists towards me. I’ve never had such poor customer service .
Save yourself a headache . Don’t use them .

Great experience from start to finish

Information was complete, shuttle both to and from were on time. Staff was friendly and helpful- especially Demarius at the Las Vegas location. Very informative and polite. From beginning to end, everything went smoothly and there were no surprises. Price was the most competitive too- bonus!

Horrible experience. Literally waited like for ever to get a car. Thank God the two guys came and made it faster unlike the two ladies. They were so slow and one of them whose a plus size had a very nasty attitude.

Unorganized

Unorganized, rude, added smoking fee when we don’t even smoke, gave us a hard time extending the vehicle, recharged me online and then charge me again after pickup! Scammers
