I bought a jumper in Dunnes Stores and on second time wearing it it had already started to bobble quite badly, On returning it to the store, I was informed that it was the quality of the material that caused it to bobble and it was sold as this inferior quality. They never even examined the item and refused to replace it. So be careful when you purchase goods in Dunnes Stores.

Serious training needed in customer relations. The basics of the word sorry don't exist In their training sessions ( doubtful if any training takes place ). Department manager of Groceries Beyond incompetent. I have left 37.00 cash with them to assist with their training needs. Received a courtesy call from the store manager wishing to refund me for the experience but I would rather not step inside a store that shows zero understanding of customer care. Perhaps CEO should spend a few days in the operation on the floor.
Eimear stores assistant
I was shopping in Dunnes stores in the pavilion in swords on Saturday and I wanted to buy a weeks supply of dog food but ther wasn’t enough on the shelves,but a very kind store assistant was packing the shelves beside me and overhead me saying there wasn’t enough so she offered to go to the store room and check if there was anymore,and much to my delight she arrived back with two full boxes.I asked her her name and it’s Eimear,what a lovely helpful young lady,so nice to see Eimear so interested in her job,most people you would ask would say o that’s all we have on the shelves and wouldn’t bother even looking for you,so a big shout out to Eimear,and I hope as a company you value her.
Good Store with Easy Shipping
I ordered recently and had my purchase shipped to Portugal. There were no issues with shipping and the parcel arrived in good time. I am happy with my purchase. I have always like Dunnes and miss the store as I no longer live in Ireland. My reasoning for not giving 5 stars is that returning product is difficult if you don't live in Ireland. I can only order things I KNOW will fit. Also, their home goods can't be ordered if you live outside of Ireland.
Spanish delivery not fit for purpose
Do not order from Dunnes if you are in Spain it is shipped from the UK. We ordered crockery to be delivered to Spain on 9 Feb. DPD are not up to the job - the parcel was misdirected, repackaged then tracking said it was on the van but did not arrive, the next day it said there was a problem and to expect delays. Dunnes had promised delivery in 10 days but the Spanish delivery company said they take 10 days from when it arrives in Spain. We cancelled the delivery as we could not wait any longer and were returning to the UK. As at 4 March we have not heard back from customer service regarding a refund.

As an Irish citizen, it goes against everything in me to write this review but I am in shock at how badly I have been treated by Dunnes customer services.
For years I have ordered products to my expat address in UK without any problems. My latest parcel of clothes for my little girl went missing somewhere after it made landfall in England. I have no tracking information to go on and when I contacted customer services, they first told me I would need to "contact customs". I couldn't understand why this should be the case as (a) the parcel was under the £135 threshold for customs duty (stated on Dunnes's own website) and (b) I would have expected to have been contacted by the UK Customs suggesting there was an issue. Right enough, no one knew anything about this at HMRC. I went back to Dunnes and a different person told me "you will need to contact Parcelforce. We can't do anything about this as it's out of our reach. We are unable to assist you any further".
The responses have been inadequate, devoid of any information, contradictory and, frankly, contemptuous. Not only am I expected to trace my own order but they can't even give me any tracking information to go on. Needless to say, Parcelforce can't help me.
I have been left £62 out of pocket and they will not agree to refund me. Nice way to treat a loyal customer. As someone who used to crow about how great a business Dunnes is, I feel like the truth is they can't be bothered with anyone's custom once they are outside Ireland.

My wife bought a jumper from Dunnes when she was visiting her parents in Ireland and on her return to our home in Liverpool after wearing it one she found it had split along the seam on the left arm. When she contacted Dunnes to attempt to return she was brusquely told it could not be returned by post only in store despite informing Dunnes that she lived in a different country.

Do not buy their Pre-lit christmas trees
Paid £160 pound recently for a “luxury” pre-lit 7ft tree. Have had the tree up for 2 weeks when suddenly the lights go out.
Contacted Dunnes who at first mentioned i would receive an immediate replacement/refund. Received a follow up email the next day to request that i bring the tree back into a store, or else theyd arrange collection.
I responded that id be happy to have it collected asap, and haven’t had any further correspondence from them since, despite sending follow up emails.
Presumably its too late to have the tree replaced and its Christmas already and its more than likely now out of stock.
So disappointing from a store I’ve always loved, to now be left without a tree at christmas.

I ordered items on 12 September, one of the items was delivered but the other ten were returned to sender after reaching Heathrow and been returned to Ireland I have phoned three times now and on the last two occasions was told that this parcel would be returned to me and I would be emailed a new Tracking Number. This is not the case as this has not happened.
No one has mentioned about me being refunded for the items or when I suggested that the items were sent again I was told that they could not and I would have to wait for the original item to to be redelivered. I suggested that these should be sent by faster delivery which again does not seem possible and no one has suggested I get reimbursed for delivery.

Dunnes will not reissue order, or return monies until they receive parcel back. Issue is between customs and Dunnes. Yet have had neither the order or monies returned. NOT GOOD ENOUGH
Do not buy if in UK
Ridiculously bad service if you are living in the UK. Customer services while they answer the phone they do not follow through on faulty items. If you have to return an item from the UK you pay the return. Pointless talking to the customer service team as she was just passive and just said a lame 'sorry'. Obviously not organised on their end. This is after a week of following up on an item. I would not recommend.

Dunnes cafe in Fuengirola
Do not use this cafe in busy periods. There are 3 or 4 girls serving with little or no organisation. Hence it seems an eternity to actually get served

So here’s the shopping experience I had.
September 27 ordered some clothing for my granddaughters birthday which was on 28 th.
So had a message from DPD delivery service to say. My parcel would arrive on28th.
Great gives me loads of time to wrap up in special birthday paper.
Was out tidying garden on delivery day and noticed a white van fly past.
Thought to myself that’s my parcel but he didn’t call.
So phones D PD depot 80 in Portadown enquiring about non delivery.
Spoke to a lovely guy Kevin who informed me the driver had logged failed delivery due to wrong address!!!
Here’s me in the delivery address given to Dunnes hearing someone say it was wrong!
Anyhow Kevin. Assured me I would receive it 28th O K a little late but still in time for birthday.
He suggested maybe to be sure to get it he would sent it to one of their pick up shops which was Pillbox Pharmacy Irvinestown less than half a mile away from my house.
So had an email from DPD clarifying this.
So on birthday day phoned Pillbox...
No parcel!
Phoned Dunnes customer services in Birmingham.
Spoke to Joy.
Joy informed me that it was nothing to do with them as it was between me and DPD I advised her that I didn’t have a contact with them but dunnes did.
So she told me to phone them myself and sort it out.
She seamed a little peeved that I had dared critiside DPD.
So I did as I was told. Got the lovely Kevin again he said the driver had again failed the delivery due to refusal of Pillbox.
Turns out there was a mix up as to was it a home delivery or pick up.
The parcel was marked home delivery. The driver couldn’t do this as it was not his run!
If he had thrown the parcel my way I could have caught it!!!
So me wee parcel goes back up the M1 to Portadown depot 80.
At this stage birthday party was over and Granny had to improvise with a wee book but with apologies that there was a big blunder with proper gift.
So phoned both DPD and Dunnes to let off a wee bit of steam!
Dunnes couldn’t care less by the way it was Linda this time.
They treated me like I was telling lies.
So I had Kevin email me with the whole story of my parcels daily journey to and from Portadown to Irvinestown .
Dunnes wiped their hand of it I still hadn’t received any kind of apology more so praise for DPD and how they rarely failed delivery slots.
Which from my experience was a load of rubbish.
Anyway here the good news parcel arrived yesterday October 1st a bit late but me wee parcel was dizzy going up and down the M1 Daily.
So here’s the lesson don’t order online from Dunnes just click and collect and hope they don’t use DPD for this service as you might have to wait quite a while!!!
