Do Your Own Site Server Problems

Sadly what was formerly a brilliant service has become a very frustrating experience due to constant downtimes and go-slows. DYOS have re-branded themselves into a company called Create. They have repackaged their website services, with the professional package now costing twice as much as before the rebranding. On the plus side, the packages they offer are still cheaper than average for DIY web creation with integrated e-commerce solutions.

The problem is that for the past few months the company has been in the process of transferring their existing subscribers over to the new Create server This is resulting in constant interruptions in service and consequent loss of traffic and sales for many small businesses.

When the DYOS system is running at full capacity, it's great and I'd give it a five-star rating. But at the time of writing, I'm afraid it's letting down its subscribers very badly. I only hope the service improves soon, or I will have no choice but to look for an alternative. I'd be prepared to pay more for an efficient service.

Another concern for me is that when some DYOS subscribers complained about the disruptions in service on the DYOS forum, the thread was removed by the management. The management continue to apologise for disruptions and are apparently doing their best to rectify these problems. Nevertheless, any company worth their salt should be able to accept criticism when it's justified and not attempt to stifle it.

Excellent

I have been using doyourownsite now for 3 years and a year ago I opened another website with them. They update regularly, bring out new functions and when ever I have needed help they have been very prompt with their support. I even had a phone call offering me valuable help on how to achieve a more professional finish to my site. I have two friends that now have websites through doyourownsite and they too are very happy.
