I got my car insurance with Direct Line via MoneySuperMarket and found the whole process very easy. I’m very happy with the process so far. I haven’t made a claim and hope I never do. I f I do I hope it’s equally as easy.

For over 200 days, they have left our Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle (WAV) rotting in a repair compound. But here is the kicker—they are STILL taking £70 every single week out of our PIP benefits for a car we can't even use.
Because we didn't have our WAV, we had a temporary hire car. But I have them ON TAPE admitting that they cancelled our hire car just because we raised a formal dispute about their endless delays. They literally punished us for complaining.
A manager ordered the agent to cancel our insurance, giving us less than an hour's notice, leaving a family undergoing cancer pathway testing completely stranded. They also forced this over a high-stress phone call, completely ignoring our Equality Act request to communicate via email due to neurodiversity.
We’ve had to drain over £1,500 of our own savings just to buy a cheap runaround, tax it, and insure it so my family can still get to medical appointments.
As i cannot respond to replies! This is the third complaint, and i get penalised for it as proved in call transcript! Im exposing your company!

Claim took months to process, resulting in me undertaking work at my own expense which should have been covered by my policy. Overall took approx 9 months from claim being registered to repair work being completed, very poor from a company that claims to be a market leader.

I had a fall in my walk-in shower and cracked the shower tray. I contacted a plumber to rectify so I had a figure to present before I phoned Direct Line. So easy! To nick someone else's tag line, "no drama out of a crisis". Call answered quickly, details taken, damage inspected, claim actioned, monies paid. Easy. Would I continue to use Direct Line? Yes, no faffing just straight to the point.

Having been with this company for over 20 years (with no claims), I would have expected better and more prompt service when I did need to make a claim. More than 2 years after the incident, and a multitude of email exchanges, they refused to pay!

Obtaining a home quote was easy, I like how different levels of cover were shown so I could choose which was the best fit and value for money. However, it's not just about the cost. I did a search to see which companies actually pay out in the event of a claim and Direct Line was one of the better companies. I've also had previous experience and they've been great.
