we spent $14K on a camera only to find when we got home that the memory card would not slide in to it cleanly. When we took it back to the store the sales assistant used their store camera to check the memory card and as it fitted in the store camera came to the same conclusion as ourselves that the camera was faulty. We expected a new camera only to be told it would be sent away for repair which really was not acceptable for a new camera. When I challenged this I was told there had to be a number of faults before the camera would be replaced.

I can’t recommend DigiDirect highly enough.
Both the online and indoor support are amazing ( Bondi Junction store). The team are helpful, listen to your queries and then respond accordingly and never put the hard word on you to try upselling you.
I have purchased 3 canon cameras, 7 lenses and countless accessories through them over time and had never had an issue.
I particularly love their price match offer as I’d rather not shop elsewhere if I can help it so I know that they will match the price and then all my purchase history sits with them.

Inquired regarding an item which was out of stock in nearly all retailers nationally, they were able to secure one for me and keep the sale price listed.
After my order was placed they post another sale which knocked another $50 off the price, when I contacted the support team they refunded my $50 straight away to match the current offer.

On Monday 23 March 2026 I purchased online 4 x Seagate 8TB HDD for my NAS. Was offered express delivery and paid the $15 fee. Thus I expected delivery that week. There was no indication on the website that the goods were out of stock. Other retailers had the goods in stock, but I chose digiDirect because over many years I have purchased a lot of camera equipment from them. On 27 March I asked where is my delivery and was told there is no stock, but stock should be available in 3-4 weeks. I requested a negotiated price on a different model and was told it would be sent to management. 3 days later no response to the request so I requested a refund.

I was hesitant to purchase from DigiDirect originally noting the reviews online around stock being unavailable and the customer service being challenging to get hold off. After purchasing through a different company last year and experiencing what I was afraid would happen at Digi (having my purchase on back order for 5 months) I decided to refund that order and give DigiDirect a go. To my delight I placed my order and received my new camera within 2 days of ordering. I chose the madness deal and noted the free microphone was not included in the delivery, so I reached out over the live contact chat. I was assisted by both Thom and Jess in a very timely and efficient manner. Jess was lovely in acknowledging there was an error and arranging the microphone to be express posted to me asap. I am very grateful to have received the assistance and to have had a positive experience with the purchase and delivery of my 3 items. Whilst they may have arrived separately they were all express posted per my original request at checkout.

I bought a pair of binoculars for an upcoming trip and paid for express shipping to ensure they would arrive on time. The parcel was delayed so I contacted DigiDirect customer support and Jess responded quickly and professionally, raising the issue with Auspost directly the same day. I ordered 2 packs of photo grade print paper. One pack arrived a month later and now 4 months later the second pack of Canson paper has still not arrived.
I seem to chat with a bot when I complain. I am reassured that delivery is imminent.
Digi direct online cannot be trusted to deliver. Communication is poor.
Best advice: pay a little extra and avoid them!

Ordered a lens on Wednesday.
Paid extra for express shipping, for 1-3days delivery.
Called on Friday, 48hrs later, and lens had only been dispatched that day...
End result - The "express" shipping got the lens to me 6 days after ordering.
Should have just waited for the standard 6 day delivery in hindsight.

Ordered and paid for an Insta 360 x4 camera, but missed the very small out of stock sign. DD then informed me of a 3 to 4 week delay. I emailed at 4 weeks to be told 2 weeks - Finally at 6 weeks, with the website still saying 2 weeks lead time they admitted that there supplier has no stocks, on backorder and cannot give an ETA. On the basis of their inability to supply I requested the order be cancelled and a full refund supplied. I give them their due, they processed that cancellation and refund that day. The following day I ordered from another supplier in Australia and had the camera 5 days later. another two weeks has gone by and DD's website still says stock within two weeks - a blatant distortion of the truth DD!!
Anyway - never again would I order online from DD - buyer beware!

You have replied saying you are reviewing your website offerings.... YET.... one week later the Insta360 items have been further promoted as a "madness deal"... and you still say awaiting stock... within 2 weeks... your website has said that for 10 weeks that I'm aware of yet you are stepping up your promotion, having admitted you have no idea when the items will be in stock. The HONOURBLE and MORAL thing to do would be to remove them from your website altogether.... You can't supply and your answers to the many 1 star reviews are just hollow BS, no doubt AI generated - press the "platitude" button and up pops a hollow apology!

Earlier today, I contacted your online chat to ask whether the camera was available at your Bondi Junction store in Sydney. I was informed that there were 8 units in stock, and that I could place my order in the afternoon and collect it within 1–2 days. I was very pleased with this response and seriously considered placing the order immediately.
The chat representative repeatedly encouraged me to leave feedback and sent me a link. When I clicked on it, I started reading several negative reviews from customers who had placed orders after being told items were in stock
Meanwhile, I had also contacted the Bondi Junction store directly earlier in the morning. After more than six hours, I finally received a response informing me that the camera is not in stock and that the waiting time is approximately three months.
This situation is very concerning. The chat representative (whether a real person or AI) clearly told me the camera was available and encouraged me to proceed with the order. Fortunately, I decided to verify before purchasing. Otherwise, I may have ended up in the same situation as the other customers I read about.
This experience has left me very disappointed and unsure about making any purchase with your company in the future.
I hope you can clarify how this misinformation occurred.

My last three orders were marked as in stock on the online store. However, I discovered each order had been out of stock. The only issue is that three consecutive orders took weeks to arrive. Aside from this, the service is satisfactory. I would rate it three stars for now.
