A productive and pleasant design process resulted in a lovely design... something special we'd not have come up with ourselves. The implementation phase went smoothly and the finished result is as wonderful as we hoped it would be. A very pleasant 'surprise' was the (hidden) solidity and quality of the units themselves. Not just good looking but well made.

From conception to the carpenter putting our kitchen together - the whole experience with Devol has been exceptional! We enjoyed working with the design and logistics team and the carpenter said that everything was so well labeled that it was a breeze putting everything together

I’ve had a most wonderful experience with DeVol. The customer service is exceptional and the products are exquisite. I ordered lighting, hardware and a cafe brass bar for my kitchen window. These products are gorgeous and worth every single penny!!

I would never change a thing even if I could! working with deVol is the best decision that we took. We are based in France, so we ordered our kitchen without even seeing it in real life before, but we trusted them from the very beginning. We have quite a big kitchen (over 60 sqm) and everything is just perfect. We have almost not changed anything in design from the very first draft. We were very lucky to work with Lucy Bedford, who did an amazing job. Everything was delivered in perfect condition. We had a professional carpenter to install the kitchen in our home once we've got it. The result is just phenomenal, it's truly a dream kitchen. and if i was ever to move someplace else, I'd definitely work only with them. From start to finish it was been such a pleasure to work with deVOL Kitchens. My kitchen design from Matteo was exactly what I had envisioned and he was so helpful, creative and easy to work with. All the fitters that came on site did such a fantastic job - the workmanship of the kitchen and fitting was superb. I would highly recommend deVOL. I am so happy with my new kitchen, it is beautiful and functional - perfect!

My experience with deVOL was amazing from beginning to end.

First of all, the kitchen is of outstanding quality, stunning craftsmanship, and beautiful pieces of furniture. After six months, the cabinets are still a joy to use and touch every time. They are sturdy, well made and beautifully proportioned, everything opens and closes perfectly. The wood is gorgeous. No chips of paint yet, despite heavy use, including by children. Love touching the aged brass hardware, which is developing a lovely patina.

We'd considered opting for cheaper carcasses with custom-made doors, but are so glad we went for the solid, handmade furniture from deVol.

The design process was a joy, the team extremely patient, competent and flexible. They went through several iterations with us and accommodated several delays our side. If there is an adjustment you'd like, do ask for it, they'll find a way for almost anything. Our project manager, John, is extremely helpful, knowledgable and efficient. Couldn't have wished for a better service.

Super quick and uncomplicated communication throughout, and outstanding aftercare. We had ordered a table along with the kitchen proper and had issues with water rings on the oiled table top. They sent someone to sand it back and refinish. When a larder cupboard we ordered in a second step was delivered, the team fixed a minor issue with one drawer (presumably due to an installation mistake by our own contractor's team).

Brief, I cannot recommend them enough.

We had our Devol kitchen fitted a year ago and it is stunning! Fantastic service from start to finish. Beautiful, elegant cabinetry and fittings have made the kitchen our favourite room in the house. Fitters were excellent and got the job done without any stress to us. A year on and it still looks as good as new. Would highly recommend Devol-you will not be disappointed!

I will keep this brief as we are in the process of legal proceedings against devol for the terrible service they provided us.
I am not one for leaving bad reviews but the public have right to know about our experience with devol.
These platforms are here to share our experiences and below in brief, is ours.

I myself have dealt with many kitchen companies, from low spec through to high spec over the years due to the trade I am in so I am more than qualified to talk about this and to bring this to the public’s attention.

It is simply not fair to treat people the way we were treated and I would not want anyone to have to go through what we did and still are going through.

I can see that there are many great reviews on here but please just be careful and if you have a bad feeling from the beginning then please have a long hard look at things and consider your options.

I can not express how bad an experience this was and still is. I can not express how much stress this has and still is bringing to us.

I have never experienced anything like it before and never want to again.
Know one should have to go through what we did.

We opted for a kitchen and utility totalling approx £46k with no appliances.

We had issues right from the very beginning, starting with the design. I was then willing to pull out during this design experience but my wife was adamant she wanted to carry on, so we did.

When it came to the installation, we had more than 10 return visits by devol to try and rectify so many items.
Some items were attempted twice, three times. Some are still not right but we would not let them back in again.
We saw approx. 8 different fitters during the whole experience.
It went on for over 9 months before we told them that they were not allowed back in to our home.

One of the worktop companies that they use (UK stone) are terrible - I believe devol also use another worktop company so please opt for these and hopefully they can deliver for you. You can use an independent stone company but they can start blaming each other if there are mistakes so it’s sometimes best to use one company to do all. That’s why we opted for this one stop shop approach.

I felt for the senior project manager as the project went on.
Very nice man and done the best he possibly could with what he had to work with and we thank him for his approach.

Just to briefly list a few of the items:
Patronising emails from the MD.
One worktop piece was the wrong colour and they tried to say it was a shadow.
Had to cut the worktop in situ as it was out to the sink. It took me to go to another worktop company to tell them that items in the worktop were not acceptable as they were not willing to accept my word.
Re do a worktop piece twice.
Worktop up stands done twice and still not right.
Cut our £15k floor in numerous places which still needs to be rectified.
Utility had to be re fitted.
Paint touching up terrible.
Panels had to be cut, filled and painted.
Units out of square.
I could go on and on and on…….

There are some great reviews on here - I believe it’s a case of getting too big too quickly and they just can’t cope, hence all the different fitters attending and some not great.
Their different fitters, finish their kitchens in different ways. You can’t have different fitters coming in to finish off someone else’s work or try and put someone else’s work right - it just doesn’t work like that.

If you do chose to go with devol then I would suggest that you demand that you want the same fitters start to finish.
Please do not use their worktop/stone company, UK stone.
I would strongly suggest not using devol but there is no guarantee you will be treated the way we were. It may go well and I really hope it does if you do choose them.
I would hope that they took something away from our job and may have hopefully changed their ways. Please do your research and I wish you all the best.

It can be a stressful affair even if all goes well - you do not need to go through what we have and are.

Devol did refund us what they thought was the right amount but it was not enough for what we have had to go through and all the compromises we have had to accept.

There is no exaggerations in the above and I have only touched on the whole experience. I can and will go into more detail if I feel the need to.

DeVol produces an absolutely stunning product. If you are looking for a spectacular product with originality and pristine workmanship, without a doubt, DeVol products are it! I truly believe you get what you pay for. LOVE LOVE all that I have purchased and will definitely return to purchase more.

Well, I thought I would leave it a week or two to see if a door fell off, or the paint cracked or a shelf split – not a bit of it. From the first contact with de Vol the interaction has been thoughtful, receptive and skilled. The package from design, through site visit, planning, to installation has been a pleasure – and the cost – an arm and a leg – feels like an arm and a leg well spent. In the design stage we were listened to and genuinely helped and advised. The installation was by two highly skilled, personable craftsmen who took pride in their work. de Vol have taken our kitchen, put in more [higher quality] surfaces and furniture back in and yet made it all more roomy. Thank you.

We have been admirers of DeVOL cabinetry for quite some time and particularly adored the timelessness, originality and impeccable craftsmanship of these features. We went on a journey recovering the original features of our 1800s Victoria era home and thought to implement some of the beautiful styling features that DeVOL were launching at the time. When we heard that DeVOL were creating porcelain pendent lighting we reached out to their team (Kat Major) and had them shipped to our little island in Australia (Tasmania). It was the best choice we made. We now have eleven of these gorgeous pendants (our favourite being the little tutu pendant) lighting our home. They create the perfect atmospheric lighting that is so in-tune with the age of the home. We are extremely happy with the quality of these products and the service we experienced. Thank you, DeVOL. After watching For the Love of Kitchens, we visited the showroom at Coates Mill. We were not disappointed! Beautiful showroom, I would highly recommend visiting. The staff are very friendly and we went on to buy a kitchen from deVOL. The whole process was great, from the kitchen design through to installation. Our new deVOL kitchen is stunning and we are very happy - my favourite room in our house!

I loved working with DeVol from the start. They had the confidence to work with me to develop a kitchen layout and allow me to take it away to review in my own time - other companies were too worried that I would take their ideas and go to a cheaper manufacturer.
The design process was so easy, I sat with the designer in their lovely showroom and we worked it out together.
I had originally thought that I would buy a Howdens kitchen and "tart it up". But I realised that so much of the cost of a kitchen is in the appliances, the fitting etc. The DeVol kitchen cost more, but not excessively, and the quality could not be compared.
I used an excellent local carpenter to fit my kitchen and he was impressed by the workmanship and the instructions which came with the units. He said it was so easy to fit in comparison with cheaper companies, and this saved me money in his time.
When I was ordering the kitchen I was worried that the lead-time was very long, but in fact I needed all of this time to have my new extension ready. In any case, I would have been happy to wait.
I love my new kitchen and would highly recommend DeVol to anyone looking to buy a new kitchen. The whole team was so helpful, professional and enthusiastic. Thank you DeVol!

Brilliant team at Devol. Seem to genuinely care about the end product suiting you. They don’t try to sell you stuff you don’t want. Pricing very transparent. Lovely people to deal with. Couldn’t be happier - absolutely love our kitchen and it wasn’t as expensive as many of their competitors.

I purchased Devol’s Aged Brass Hanging Rail. What can I say … I LOVE it! It’s added character & charm to our Kitchen, I hang mugs, jugs, herbs, hearts, a tea towel amongst other items. It’s forever evolving! Thank you Devol.

It's a real shame. DeVol makes lovely products with great design. However, as the brand and business has grown I fear they have not been able to keep up the quality of delivery and service.

A kitchen bought in late 2021 was mis-measured, the wrong products were sent, some products didn't arrive. It took weeks to resolve and the service was utterly chaotic. For the money that it costs to buy a DeVol kitchen, one should expect a commensurate level of service. As clients providing our own installation via our builders it felt as though we were completely disregarded. One might suspect that Devol's high margin work lies in installation.

Fast forward to now and a simple worktop replacement (including installation). Mixed messaging throughout, between two different designers, confusion re scope and then, on the day before it was due to be fitted I chased to confirm the time the fitters would arrive. I received an email the following morning (the day it was booked to be installed) to let me know it had never, in fact, been booked in.

Arrogant and aloof attitude from the team and a service completely at odds with the product and price point.

Will never use them again.

**Subsequent to writing this review a member of the customer service team contacted me. For the first time there was an unfettered acknowledgement of the issues that had arisen, a commitment to a resolution and some compensation. The resolution was professional, helpful and friendly. It's a shame it seemingly took a Trustpilot review to illicit this, but I am grateful that things ended more positively nonetheless.

We had a great experience with Devol! Our designer Iain Chatburn was attentive, solution focused and professional. Iain listened to our brief and budget and created a beautiful design that we were very happy with! Thanks Iain!!

I cannot say enough about how wonderful my experince has been working with deVol to create my beautiful kitchen! Everyone I spoke to, corresponded with via email, and met in person has been not only an incredible resource but an absolute delight. From my first meeting with Paul in the New York showroom to every call and email with Georgia I felt they truly were excited about taking the journey with me to create a beautiful and functional space for our family. I have some physical limitations that needed consideration when designing a space that would work for me and Georgia was nothing short of thoughtful and gracious in incorporating my needs and my vision into beautiful design. She was kind and patient and shared my enthusiasm for every little detail. When it came time to install the kitchen we felt the full support of Matt and his team to be sure the execution went smoothly and any bumps were immediately addressed as their team went above and beyond to be sure we got it right. I am so beyond thrilled with my kitchen and the experience I have had with deVol!! It has been so lovely and I recommend them completely!
